Don't forget to glue in the inner Paperclip on the drivers side of the 240 that the 140 Series doesn't have. It's very practical. To prevent further rust take out every old metal clip from the 140 frame.
This is why I like your vids Dean. It's real life. So the scuttle on the 240 doesn't match the 140 scuttle. That's life. Some days are golden, other days, not so much. Keep working on the Volvos. Cheers.
Look into using Por15 Patch on your windshield surround. I've used it with some success on other surface rust with my 1986 245. It hardens to an impervious barrier almost like metal. Check it out.
Great video Dean. I do not look forward to my windshield frame/cowl repair at all. Good catch on the details about the cowl differences. I'll have to keep that in mind when it's my turn ✌️
29:00 is it just me, or does the rear wheel look more centered under the arch then when they were on the 142? Also, next time tell us the size of wheels/tires you are trying out, so the rest of us can figure out the way to go on our projects. Not that I’m telling you what to do, because DOM rocks regardless.
@@ShawnTheGreek Mentioning tire size is actually a GREAT idea. Wheel sizes, widths, offsets, diameters and tire profile are all great buts of data for people putting cars together
I thought there would be No Way a set of wheels would look better than the ones you had on the Green Car. But then you put the new set on...Wow! For a while I thought that The Lawn Car Enthusiast had taken ill, as it had been very quiet there. Sir I have a question of the utmost importance. How the heck do I clean out the gunk in the drains where the Wipers go into? It's all unibody, there's no panels to remove to get inside like the older 240s. I have a 1990 DL. Thanks for any help!

Another fine evening of entertainment Dean.
I can’t claim every day of my life is this entertaining but when it is it makes great viewing!
Always a pleasure, Dean. Thanks for being part of my Sunday night.
Thank YOU Adam for always coming back!! Enjoy your evening!
I’ve learned from 140 enthusiasts that the rust on them up here in Canada makes them tragically rare (and when in good shape Tragically Hip) 😂
If you have one of these cars up north, you really have about 3 weeks during the summer to enjoy it lol.
Skimask and ski glasses works to not get wind in your eyes when you dont have a windshield 😂
Thats a good point. I might have to test this.

Looks a fun day to be fair! Plus both our videos we took a screen out. Please don’t cut a early 240 up though 😞
