      I watched this video when I still had my Buds+ and didn't think they'd be worth the upgrade. But I accidentally washed my Buds+ and they died. I decided to buy the Buds Live, thinking I could just return them if I didn't like them, and buy the Buds+ again. However, I'm surprised how _much_ better the Buds Live sound than the Buds+ and they're louder. This is even more surprising considering the Buds+ have a dual-driver design with a woofer. Even with the Buds+ having a more complete seal, the Buds Live have better bass response. I do kinda miss the 11-hr battery life on the Buds+ though. And yeah, the mic and VPU is a big jump up on the Buds Live than the Buds+ and it's actually even more obvious than the video represents. The Buds Live also connect and reconnect faster than the Buds+ on my Galaxy Note 10+. They are much more comfortable to wear, especially when laying down on your side. Overall, everything you said in the video is true.

    I just bought the Buds live in Bronze few days ago & i have the Buds+ aswell. Below are my impressions after 1 week of use.
    > Buds Live vs Buds+
    - Both has almost the same sound quality, with the Buds Live having a tab bit more volume & bass if the fit is perfect on your ear (depends on the size & shape of the ear).
    - Since most wont be using the Buds+ 11 hours straight, having more battery on the Buds Live case is more useful (Buds live - 21 on case & Buds+ - 11 on case).
    The Buds+ case dies after 3 days max but the earbuds itself will last for 3 more days where as the Buds live case will only die after atleast 6-7 days with the buds itself lasting 1 more day (using both for a min. of 5 hours a day)
    - ANC on the Buds Live are ok for what they are. (reduces around 60% of only low frequency background noice) They are meant to let in some sounds of the surrounding hence the name Buds "LIVE".
    - Comfort is the main feature of the Buds Live... They sound as good as the buds+ (if the Buds Live fits your ear right) while being comfortable & keeping your attention of the surroundings which is good for long periods of use while outdoors, at work etc...

    I have the galaxy buds+. Im a trash man working on the back of the big loud truck outdoors for 8 to 9 hours. I keep them in my ears almost all day and with the ambient sound on they are literally no difference than my own ears. They don't sound robotic at all. They sound great. I also noticed that when I listen to spotify on my Note 10 plus the volume goes just high enough that you don't damage your hearing. But when I connect the buds+ to my Galaxy Active 2 watch its like 30%+ louder which is too loud if I listen to them for a long period of time. I even wear these in thunderstorms and they're absolutely amazing. I watched this to see if I should upgrade but tbh I think I'll stay with these. I also like to game on my phone so the natural noise cancelation and lack of bleeding sound is perfect for me. If youre active, a gamer, and love music than the buds+ is a good buy. I think I'll maybe try the Buds Live instead of buy them .

      @CD - Francesco Fadda I just got mine today. Compared to the Buds+ they sound a tiny bit better, the case is more compact, maybe a tiny bit better latency for gaming and so far thats about it. There's no sound canceling what so ever. So them even advertising that is criminal. They're less comfortable than the buds+ by far and they're not any louder. Not unless I need to tweak the settings. They're good for gaming.... thats kind of it.

    I had to return my Galaxy Buds Live. Shortly after setting them up I was told by Samsung to do a firmware update. This firmware update really damaged the sound quality. The left ear bud was very hard to hear and when watching TV the sound would echo from ear to ear. I called Samsung several times and they had no solutions. When they were in just the right position in your ear the sound was outstanding. As good as over ear headphones but this was very inconsistent.

    I upgraded from the OG galaxy buds to the buds live and I was super excited about them... however i returned them after 7 days (to make sure I was within the samsung 15 day return policy) I like to use them in the morning and nights when my fiance is sleeping as she could hear them at even the lower volume and they would wake her up. My fiance said when I called her, the quality was actually worse even though her voice came through great. I also found them slipping in my ear a little to the point for the speaker wasn't directly in my ear canal. I don't have big ears and I tried the larger rubber pads and it didn't work for me. Adjusting them was also difficult since it would cause me to bump the touchpad multiple times. The sound was better than the OG galaxy buds but I still found them to be quiet when I wanted to watch streaming services i liked the concept and them trying a new way but it wasn't for me. I'll be buying the buds plus since they seem to be better than my OG buds.

      @GamingWithFusion 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Depends, if you want to cancel noises then buds plus, you want to hear noise still then buds live, want comfort lots of people say buds live are better but getting used to the sealed feel of the buds plus is possible. Better sound quality then buds live but your music leaks out to others around you and when you can hear things around you then you can't hear audio as good anyways in which is probably a good cause of while I personally would go buds plus. I hope I helped your decision and it would be cool to know your opinion of what you would like, why you prefer that option, and what features you may want from the other option.

      Gaming With Fusion I would prefer buds live I guess as I already have in ear OG buds for the seal, now I want something which let me be aware of the surroundings too (especially helpful if you are out the streets). Also mics and bass is better on buds live along with the overall battery (29 hours). Also buds live look better in ear with smaller footprint . I think there are many advantages of buds live

    • @GamingWithFusion
      @GamingWithFusion 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@parthoomphy7214 Yeah, the buds + sound a lot better then the OG I've heard people say but of your content with that then the buds live would be a good thing to try. But off of Amazon so if you don't like them you can return them and get the buds+ instead. But being able to hear surroundings is a good advantage and disadvantage. Since I've yet to get a pair myself I'm probably going for the buds+ and I feel like I'll be content with them and not get the buds live as well.

    • @parthoomphy7214
      @parthoomphy7214 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GamingWithFusion I think one should have 2 pairs, one to block surroundings when he needs that like buds plus and one to be aware about the surroundings when out on bike or otherwise, then buds live makes sense.
      Since I already have OG buds which block so much noise from outside just by wearing them (good seal), I don't feel confident to wear them outside as I can't hear anything, so I have to plug out 1 of the buds and use only a single piece.
      Although its seal helps during workouts when you want isolation and bass thumping to get you pumped.

    • @GamingWithFusion
      @GamingWithFusion 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Parth Oomphy I totally understand that concept. With the cheaper price that Samsunf lists these compared to others like the apple products buying two pairs is slightly easier. I appreciate Samsungs effort for this new type of ear bud. I personally feel as though buying the buds plus is better until the new generation of the buds live come out when more features are out, sound quality is even better, and the experience is better.

    My buds live are arriving today. I've had the original Buds for around 2 years now but one of them has broken so decided to take the plunge and upgrade. I was really in two minds as to whether i should get the Lives or the Plus'. Went for the Lives but will have to see how they go. My only concerns are that my ears can be picky with earphones in terms of getting the right fit (my original Galaxy Buds fit perfectly) and also the amount of sound leakage. Will report back....

  • @iamking5103
    @iamking5103 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Since you listed all of the Pros.......
    Cons.
    1. The wearable app requires you to allow all permission all the time only. They give you the option to deny or only allow while using the app, but if you chose either of those it will close out the app and you won't be able to use it.
    2. You have no control over what is allowed. If you don't want Bixby on your device... Too bad, you don't want it to have your location all the time..... Too bad, Calendar, Contacts, microphone, SMS etc. too bad. If you go into your device and stop any of them you're no longer allowed to listen to music. ( I only want to hear music. You don't need to invade my privacy to listen to music)
    3. The Bluetooth sucks, all songs sound chopped and screwed when running. Paired my buds with the watch 3 and my music sounds like a scratched CD. The Bluetooth is extremely choppy when running. The music was smooth while in the house but as soon and I started to jog they kept loosing signal and quickly reconnecting. (yes I offline downloaded one of my Playlist from Spotify on my watch) who's to blame the new watch or the new buds or the company who made them both?
    4. The speaker is the small area on the front tip which means these have to be perfectly placed in your ear which takes a bit. You will hear you left sounding better than your right, only to adjust the right where it then sounds better than the left.
    5. It's 2020 I thought we were done with shiny. Can we get a Matt color?
    6. No wall charger, I get it I have about a thousand of them anyway, but it's the principle.
    I do like a lot though,
    They didn't fall out of my ear not once in a three mile run in Arizona 111 degree weather. The charging case is pretty bad azz. Getting the buds to fit in you ear is easy but you gonna have to do some fishing to get the speaker to align with your ear canal while making sure they don't fall out.
    UPDATE
    replaced these buds 3 times and the Bluetooth is still an issue while running, saying goodbye to the permanently.

      That is a big advance. Remember, one of the biggest reasons people were so pissed about ditching the microphone jack was because of how behind wireless audio was. Not just in terms of high end headphones (which it still is to some degree) but even "normal" headphones. Being "as good" as AKGs is a big advance for wireless audio, and they upped the battery life to much higher than the industry average of wireless audio as well. So $150 finally gets you what you had before but with the added benefit of being able to walk around without the phone being tethered to your headphone.

      Will it still work if only one side of the ear bud is worn? Or do both buds have to me on both ears to work?

      Only 1 side of the earbud has to be worn. I have the buds plus so I know this.

    hey! how much sound can you hear when listening to music at about 70%?

      even at 100% you can hear a car passing for instance at night. during the day prob a lot, and it ruins the intimacy of listening to music

    I'm still confused and lost on both items I don't think which to get. I want the live because I mainly work a lot and I drive to work and go home shopping and little things. Battery life I'm not too concerned with cause I have a note 20 ultra. I want something comfortable something where I can listen to music and ve able to be aware when I'm driving, but play music loud enough to drown out noises when I'm not talking or being aware....so I'm still not sure which to choose
