      The Buds Live have a 12mm single speaker, over the smaller ones on the others. Of course it'll have more base, but in turn clarity is worse, which is the one thing I dislike about my Lives.
      I'm getting the Pros with my S21U pre-order and I'm excited.

      Would definitely get the Pros. They are more expensive but have way more tech! Apple fan boy here, but when tech is good, there’s no denying it. Having said that, I waiting to see what the next version of apple’s Pros have to offer. 😬 stay safe.

    • @davidrotaru
      @davidrotaru 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should definitely test them paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, in order to benefit from the better quality proprietary Samsung Scalable Codec, instead of the lower quality SBC and aac. Plus, you could add Poweramp music player in the mix and tweak the sound however you like it, with the built-in 10 bands equalizer. Poweramp alone with its custom DSPs, can make shitty headphones sound decent, and good headphones sound amazing. It's the best audio player i've ever used and the main reason i'm not leaving Android anytime soon.

    I went from the buds to the buds plus and wasn't really that great of a change in sound. After a few months a upgrade to the buds live and the sound quality and the punchy bass is really amazing . Also with the buds plus when running they always move little by little out from my ear canal, but with the buds live not at all. If you already have the bud live no need to upgrade at all.

    • @EidLigata
      @EidLigata 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Dr_Ender don't think it's necessarily hate that comes from that comment above. It has to do with the fact that the review itself is biased from the get go. Can't expect fair review when the Samsung product that is optimized to be paired with Samsung phone, is deducted points for not working best with iphone. Yet the apple device not working with anything but iPhone gets top marks because it is optimized for iPhone.
      And people also react when there's just lack of knowledge on the reviewers part regarding devices they review. That sometimes comes out as hate, but I guarantee that's mostly frustration.
      That's not to say there's lots of die hard fans that make internet hell, but above comment was not it.

    I've watched a few other reviews on the buds pro and the general consensus regarding the noise cancellation is that It DOES work...HOWEVER how effective it is depends on how tight a seal it creates which is more dependent on the user's ear since the pros lack the customizable wingtips on the buds plus. one reviewer in particular said it initially did nothing for him as it didn't create a tight seal so he tested bud tips from Bose and apple and in both cases the noise cancellation worked perfectly since it was now a better fit. honesty the lack of a customizable fit is the one reason I'm considering sticking with my buds plus

    My issue with the Pros are the way they fit in the ear. They sound really good, when you have the right ear and the right tip. When you don't, then it sounds like distant phone audio. I was severely disappointed when I first got them, thinking I had been scammed (got refurbished). Not only was the sound bad, they were also really quiet, and the anc didn't work worth a crap. Got some different tips, and it's like a whole new pair of earbuds.

    I am really concerned about the quality of the crossover. I tried a few dual driver consumer-oriented earbuds before and they all have very bloated bass and a huge dip around 200 Hz - 500Hz, which is probably where the two drivers' frequency ranges overlap.

One feature which I feel is underrated by almost all reviewers, I am sure it should be available on the Buds Live and Buds Pro as well, is "edge control". With edge control you have all functions available on the ear buds, simultaneously. Still, this was an interesting comparison.

      @@demon6937 well, I had the chance of playing with them for a couple of hours courtesy of my roommate. and I can say that no one should regret preordering them:
      1- Sound quality is in a different class compared to Buds+, you don't even need to be a pro in sound quality in order to recognize the difference.
      2- call quality is unreal, the noise cancelling on Mic works great and it's freakishly loud.
      and it's arguably much better than AirPods Pro and we already know how great AirPods are(call quality)
      3- the buds sit far less aggressively in the ear canal compared to Buds+.
      4- Max Tech is an Apple oriented channel :P they don't really know how to set the buds up and use the options that Android and Samsung offer :D
      still does not make Samsung's decision to release a product before it's software any less stupid though!
