I just made a purchase of a sleeper. I am leased on to a family members authority but want to have more of a profit. I am interested in getting my own authority now. How long before i can go forward with the transition of having my own authority. Only been leased on for a month and insurance is for a year.
So if I'm wanting this to be passive for me, it's best to just lease on, right? I'm just trying to set up a passive steam of income and don't want to manage the day to day operations.
I had my own my own authority, hiring drivers, and running hotshot. Now I help people looking to get started in trucking and I also have an accounting/tax business where I have clients with semis, box trucks, and hotshot. Glad you like the content.
If I have my own S-Corp is it legal for my S-Corp to lease onto a company or must I be a sole proprietor instead in order to be allowed to lease-on? I was just wondering do all S-Corps have their own authority or do some S-Corps actually use the authority of someone else.
