This song has helped me pass through my lonely days. Every night before sleeping I listen to this song. It feels as if I am not the only one that is stressed out in this world. Some other person in this whole world has the same feeling as me. This song is just legendary

The ghost inside- faith or forgiveness. Breaking benjamin-angels fall. Linkin park-iridescent. Parkway drive- carrion. Emmure- we were just kids. Funeral for a friend-roses for the dead. It goes on and on :)
This song cuts deep with a lot of people. It was actually written by the secondary singer (not Serj) about remembering the day his brothere died in a car accident. The two were really close and so it really feels like the loneliest day of his life each year on the "anniversary" of losing his brother, that feeling of loss being dreged up again and you can hear the regret in the lyrics, that he feels like it should have been him or at least he should have died with him, but at the end he says it's a day he's glad he survived as, through him, his brother's memory can be kept alive.
System of a Down was one of the best bands to come out of the "nu-metal" movement. Keep checking them out. If you liked this one, check out Lost in Hollywood. Keep rocking out, dude.
I don't think it is fair to call them "Nu-metal." It's kinda like calling Twenty One Pilots and rap group. I fails to explain what they are. I think both of the groups transcend genre. But if I was force to describe System of a Down, I would say that it is a very unique metal group.
Daron is not the lead singer of the band (but is on the song itself). He wrote the song, He is the guitarist and he is the only child. Unfortunately what you heard is just a rumour.
I concur w/ this song. I cry every day while listening to this song. This lonely day is mine...." Such a lonely day...I'm glad I survived." That's the whole point.

Alex, I've always loved this song. Serj isn't the main singer here but I love it, Daron's voice was perfect for the melody. The video takes me back to a time when I've travelled on a bus, starting the trip in the daylight & then on into the darkness of night. Awesome reaction dude!
Yes! My favorite song from my favorite band! I'm a SOAD fan since I was 14 or 15 (so 11 or 12 years now). I think this song was one of the first songs I learned how to sing because it is a slow song (I'm Brazilian so slow songs helped with my English in the beginning) and that's why it remains one of my favorites ever. And I love the message at the end.. "it's a day that I'm glad I survived"

I found your channel maybe 2 hours ago after listening to Avenged Sevenfold. I recently lost my dog and ive been feeling sad, lonely and angry for pretty much 6 weeks now. It feels nice to watch these videos. Im already listening to these songs but at the same time i also feel kinda like im opening up about my emotions to someone. Like you were someone who just asked my "how do you feel?" and i say "just listen to this". Then after the song is over you go over what the song is about and how it makes you feel. I dont know if that makes sense but im just trying to say that i feel like these videos are helping me so thank you
As you told, I'm one of those who has strong emotional connection to this song. It's very important for me as I listened to it on repeat after my father died 10 years ago. Those were the most lonliest days of my life, but this song helped a lot. I'm glad you liked it too.
