Deffinatly an original cable not Samsung one or anything it worked for me, other wise pad simply flashes once when trying this method and does nothing, maybe borrow a friends ps4 controller cable for 3 seconds

I’ve done everything I even went out and bought a usb drive... nothings working it’s just freezing and I can’t download any games or play any games
They have fried quite a few PS4 with this new update (8.52) it will not play any game.
And the *Checking System Storage* message every SINGLE time I power on or restart my PS4

None of that worked for me it just gives me error the only thing that worked was initializing it but that didn’t permanently solve the problem because 2-3 weeks later it went back into the safemode loop

Unplug it and let it sit for 20 minutes then try it again.
So when I hold the power button for 10-15 secs it just shuts off the whole thing 🙁

Don’t do any of this shit it won’t help for the problem some people get, if ur ps turns off and when u turn it back on says “cannot start the ps4” click download from usb then as soon as it says cannot find usb pull the plug out of the console and turn back on and it’s fixed try it a couple times tho

Your USB cord!!!!!! Change it use a Syning USB cord, the fact that the USB makes the Ps4 controller charge doesn't mean its Syncing, try another USB, keep trying till you get a USB that syncs

I remember the first time this happened to me, I was able to advance to the second part were it gave me all them options which allowed me to fix my PS4 but this time, my controller won't turn on even with the USB plugged in so I can't surpass the first part
The controller works cause it flashes, it just don't connect even with the USB
In conclusion, there is no possible fix which ultimately means that my PS4 is broke
