    I am constantly amazed with all the liquid damaged laptops I see being worked on. I have never damaged a single electronic device by spilling liquid on it. In fact I still use a 2009 HP pavilion that works as good today as the day I got it. I've only had to replace the battery and I've had plenty of liquids around it. I'll never get used to the idea that people are so careless around devices that cost so much.

      Accidents do happen from time to time, but you can easily avoid this by following 1 easy rule, no food/drinks while using the laptop.

    Hi Sorin! Love your channel and the way you deal with repairs. Last two videos i've notices a HIGH PITCHED "COIL WHINE" in your videos which hasn't been there before, so you should probably check what's goin' on. Keep up the good work!

    Once I upgraded the ram for my laptop, I accidently dropped a sweat on to the board next to the ram pin...ding-dong...one ram slot was dead after that :v no more upgrade anymore. sad!

    • @derekhatake
      @derekhatake ปีที่แล้ว +1

      did you clean with iso alcohol before powering it on?

    • @minhngoquang3405
      @minhngoquang3405 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      At that time, I did not realize that the sweat drop on the mainboard ^^, so just installed the ram and turned it on and then knowing the slot was unable to work properly, then tried to swap the ram and both 2 rams still worked properly with the one slot left. it was my very old core 2 dual laptop with only 2GB of ram and about to give it to my little sister to learn online. So I just stopped install the 2nd 2GB ram stick and left the laptop run with only 2GB on the workable slot. It runs windows 7 and for some software for education still works goods. One lesson for upgrading anything for the laptop ^^...be cool and not drop any sweats when trying to remove tiny wire and components :v

    Another informative video , thanks. Question!
    Watching the way you R&R on-board RAM IC’s, would it be possible for a person to increase the factory RAM of a laptop by) R&R’ing factory 1GB chips (4x1GB=4GB) with
    2GBchips(4x2GB=8G)

    There is a chance that at some point in this laptops lifetime that it's had the chassis replaced due to previous liquid damage, maybe had a palm rest replacement? Would be the only explanation really :D

    Do hp and dell adapters have the same compatibility issue as the lenovo adapter or can it be just faulty maybe you should cut it and have look inside because i don't think it serves any purpose for a diagnosis if there's no original charger available

    Guys I need help,
    My lenovo legion 7 2021 model is giving issue.
    Back story:
    Updated nvidia drivers from g force experience.
    Windows update kept showing the same driver and when I tried updating it it failed to installed.
    Checked for updates on g force experience it said latest drivers already Installed.
    Checked on lenovo vantage same status as on windows update.
    Didn't gave much thought to it and kept using the laptop. It went into sleep mode due to In activity and when I tried to wake it up it didn't give any display.
    Used the 60 second power button trick to bring back the display it worked but as soon as the windows boot up it gave blue screen error and after restart went to black screen mode.
    Reinstalled the windows and updated everything again, worked fine for a few hours.
    Played a game it shutdown automatically and then again black screen and then after power button trick again blue screen error. Everytime I restart It gave different blue screen error.
    Tried installing windows again but it stucked mid way.
    Tried shuffling the rams in slots, after multiple attempts managed to install the windows but black screen everytime.
    Current situation:
    Black screen on startup
    When I try to go into bios it hangs.
    Please advise there is no lenovo service center in my country and local repair shops are unable to identify the problem.
    They tried different rams but the issue remains the same

    Hi sir i own Lenovo IdeaPad gaming3 and accidentally damaged pl202 component what to do ?? My laptop is working fine.just bought 2 months ago

    • @nickochioneantony9288
      @nickochioneantony9288 ปีที่แล้ว

      That pl202 is a component close to the RAM cover right? That is a hard task for a quick repair (unless you know someone competent enough to solder the capacitor back together - without damaging the board in a long run). Assuming your laptop still has warranty, I suggest you just let the repair center fix it for you (90% of the time, you'll get a replacement Motherboard).
      My condolences, since I own the same laptop, and have tried to fix it due to BIOS issue (causing constant blackscreen), In the end, I got my replacement board... good result all and all, but still, these kind of accident sucks.
