Most sturmfaust nowadays deserve faster CD (at least between 400 to 550). It is funny to see stuff like Nero, Xeku Eins type 3 or Galbaldy Beta (FS) needing 3 second to be able to fire it, while you have stuff in the same cost range like the kampfer/titania with 1 sec switching time or even worse Geara's sturm only needing 0.77 seconds.
As most of this game goes, it feels like the core system is designed for OYW era grunt MS, with a shit tonna patches in the form of skills attached to make the later MS actually feels more high-performance
The Nero is just flat out overshadowed by the Nero Trainer, it's the exact same MS but a Raid with Heavy Attack and Quick Turn; one of the most powerful skills combinations in the game for a Raid to have.
ah yes, the ultimate conundrum. Buffing a main weapon which would inadvertently make another unit super OP. the G-Line's Shotgun, the Hyaku Shiki's BR, the Ground type BR, the list goes on.
Im still disappointed the iron club is just used like another sturmfaust. Would of been comical of it used that sturm faust like a melee weapon in the same style as the ullapool caber
Ah yes the nero a mobile suit i have but never used because when it come to generals i go with the Himo gelgoog and the Dowas custom. But after this video i might run it just to test it out. Also nice work keep it up man love these videos.
Well, i was rarely using it because i thought it was META. ( the loadouts seems lean toward _melee combat_ and more capable than Granpa Gundam ) 🤔💦 Edit: 2:21 - Bruh. . . i am touched you called it " _The Grunt King_ ". I have old video called it " *In the Hall of Grunt King* " ! 😂🎉🎉 4:28 - Yooooo. . . You even use the OG Gundam PNG! . . . Sir, you have my respect. 🤧💦
I honestly hardly see it enough to consider it META. I tend to see a lot more Jedas and GM III powered, and then everything else. It has some pros and cons compared to granpa gundam. It takes a second longer to focus the beam rifle, but a lower heat rate. Slightly better melee, but doesn't have a level 3 melee priority. So they kind of even out.
@@Mobilesuitk9 Hmm. True... i guess my expectation is too high. Though, _Sturmfaust_ and _Flasbang_ is pretty neat for striking or escaping from situation. 🥳 Also, the *Nero* 's beam rifle stun after 2 shot, make it easier to caught off guard someone. 😆👏🏼
@@LilyBeta Sturmfaust is good for either attacking or escaping. Flashbang too, but requires a little more skill to use properly. I still mess up with it sometimes.

Nero!! I recently got this one, and I LOOOOOOOVE it! It's stylish, nimble, and of course, fun to use. It's also one of my favourite Mass Production MS in Gundam, so that's a plus. I want to use it more, but 450 rooms are a bit rare on PC lately. At least one day later I also pulled a level 1 Nero Trainer, which is cool, too. Zero-Shiki, oh man. That's one 550 General I consistently did well in, I made a beam rifle spam build for it and it's pretty hilarious. Very nice MS, imo. Very enjoyable vid, as always, nice editing style!
In the face of more meta units like the jeda i always found that the nero outclassed other units in potential damage But in a game where convenience is key when you don't know if your team will back you up units like that can be forgotten no matter how good they are if it's higher skill
honestly I didin't know it existed. I mean, I had the Nero Trainer. Im about to get the Nero on PC since their running an event. guess i can try it out.
I just got this MS on PC from the limited mission they're currently running for Gelgoog Vertex. It looks interesting to play so I may give it a go after my disaster trying out RX-78-2 last time.
Nero itself is fine with me. It would be nice to lower the switch time of the sturm Faust like the Xekuein type 3. It would help players to keep the stun going so that later on you could melee. I do love the design and weapons. Very much a Gundam Sentinel fan. Doesn’t matter if it’s fragile or not. It still a solid MS with close-mid battles.
I think the biggest problem for Nero is it's brother Nero trainer. That MS is a bit op in my opinion and almost made Nero obsolete. Otherwise it's a solid General type MS. Not the strong one compare to other 450 General type, but not bad either.
Honestly, In my opion it just needs faster Sturm faust swap time while it shares it with Nero Trainer it could get it's own or swap it with a different version then maybe Tristian could get that version too because it also uses them and needs some buffs. It doesn't have to be insanely fast but that's just me it has good poke and when it can get into melee it can be a monster but it doesn't excel at any of these roles.
I main the Nero Trainer at 450, so when I use the vanilla Nero, it's just too pedestrian for me. If it had the vulcans I could probably do something with it. Since it doesn't I just prefer to stay with the Trainer variant.
I've wondered how this MS' name is pronounced. Ive heard Neh-ro, simalar to the Nemo (Neh-mo). But I've always pronounced Nero as Nee-ro. Used to be the same case with the Nemo, but ive stuck with Neh-mo.
Since I've never heard it pronounced in any anime, I just go by the way they pronounce the Roman Emperor's name in history. As for the Nemo, they do pronounce it in Zeta, so even though "Finding Nemo" pronounces it differently, I go with the way it was said in Zeta. Also, Zeta came out like 2o years before "Finding Nemo."
How do you do those red lines on the shoulders? I could make some guesses as to it being certain markings but as a PC player without a stockpile of tickets buying markings blindly is a rough proposition.

I unlocked this one via mission and from the beginning it was obvious it had better performance than the other 450 generals.
It actually does have space to allow for a vulcan pod system to be attached to its head. It's what the little latches are for.
This mobile suit would do well in close-quarter combat stages like the artic space port or the fallen colony.

My favourite 450 general. Never did good or bad with it. But will consistently place in the top 6 ever if we lose.

Manga? The Nero is from a straight up novel. And yeah, blue beams are reserved for Gundam Sentinel - Hajime Katoki's first ever lead design role!
Perhaps Nero can get weapon replacement but basically the old weapon but with lower heat Guage?

It's the AE logo.
