DISCLAIMER: This was a PROTOTYPE board, the issues I have here WILL NOT be the same for you. Apparently they had a miscommunication issue sending the parts and missed the gaskets and screws with our order.
They have since sent me the correct gaskets and screws at no cost, let me know if you wanna see a normal build!

I suggest speed run the normal build then montage comparisson improv vs original. Ahh and racing stripes are must stay

@@ryanlam5237 ah yes, better mess up on your protos which will leave a sour impression on thousands of people instead of messing up on actual boards which a few hundred will receive.. you can fix the actual boards by being sincere about it and sending replacement gaskets and what not but they just lost a good amount of sales. - which could have been avoided by double checking the packages LOL
@@mirzaiscandle lets be real, the proto case itself is not where they messed up. they messed up by not including all the accessories.. with two separate units.. - which couldve been avoided by double checking..

As I guy who doesn't just have spare 240$ lying around, I would flip my shit if I paid that much and half the parts were missing/broken. I know this was a prototype but still.

Your videos alone (and eventually Switch and Click lol you both are great) got me to purchase my first keyboard. Just a Keychron K4 V2 with the reds, and I hope to make my own soon. Best and most expensive hobby I’ve ever gotten into, and I love it. Thank you for the content man, from SoCal 🤘
Really goes to show you don't need a good keyboard part for something to sound good. YOU just need to be good enough to make it sound good.

Have the *exact* same issue with the production model; stabs not sitting down into the board properly.
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I just screwed them in to pull it down flat. Stab is working 🤷🏼♂️

I'm thinking about building my first keyboard, and found your channel (binge in progress) while absorbing every bit of information about building a keyboard. But holy crap is it hard to even try here in Finland! ISO layout with SWE/FIN legends. Here, have some plain black or white keycaps with your bizarro letters. Also no numpad for you, weirdo.

This is a very bad case indeed. Though generally speaking boutique products (even the very good ones) will actually usually have worse quality control than something mass produced. Your cheap Logitech office keyboard may be cheap, feel *very* cheap, and be built with low quality components, but at the same time will have an incredibly consistent production quality.

It's a very nice board, but ridiculous they didn't fix this even after a 6 month delay.
They navy and olive colours also looked *totally* different to advertise, and they're re-coating a bunch of peoples' cases.
The custom mount could be the tape switch hip mount lol

Hi Hipyo! So the polycarbonate plate that keeps the switches is flexible? Should it matter? I mean the vertical force is not absorbed by that, it is absorbed by the PCB, moreover, have you ever tried to put a couple of layers of electrical tape to the bottom of the switch? where it touches the PCB?

@@br0s1ve32 endgame doesn't have to be expensive, this is coming from someone who has 10 keyboards. I still go back to my budget babies. What I was pointing out is that keeb was worth 250usd and was incomplete and had to be modded real hard to just sound decent
