Once again great video also great paint job by TMC will have to contact them regards my hoppers. Did Mrs Bishop not know you were filming before getting the mower out 😁. With this hobby there is always somthing new to learn. One thought I had during the 1970-80s Hornby did adverts with Bernard Gribbings I think his name was with your expert knolw how maybe you could do a video were Charlie shrinks down and ends up on the layout. You have had your orders its starting to rain so maybe time to get the washing in. Fantasic update once again.
Thanks QC, it’s comments such yours that make the whole thing worthwhile.
Regards Charlie.
Bernard Cribbins... lol... I remember those adverts, ! Gerat actor, loved him in the 1970s' Railway Childred film! And in Dr Who!
@@ChadwickModelRailwayHi I have been watching and researching bout Track cleaning. I've learned one additional step you may want to consider. The black residue is carbon produce from micro sparks of electric chatges transferred between active wheels and the Track. If after you use the track brush, you would apply a thin layer of Oxgard, supposedly you will not have to clean as often or longer.
@@roberthubal6278 thanks Robert, that’s most interesting.
Regards, Charlie
Air-brush weathering !---- yes please Charlie.
Rest assured, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Videos like this are the reason you win the TH-cam channel of the year award.
That’s very kind of you to say so Robin. Regards, Charlie.
Yes to the air brush demo.-- thanks!
Certainly, I'm on the case.
But might I ask why you haven't publicly subscribed?
Regards Charlie.
It's FREE. And worth every penny!
Not many free things in life, so subscribe today!
I enjoyed the video in which you asked if it would be good to cover airbrushing.Yes please, I am a total novice. I have been thinking about some airbrushing but don't know where to start. I don't know what I will need or have any tips on good practice. Help will be greatfully received 😢.
Hi Charlie, the tractor and your dear wife all add to the video.
Thanks Michael, I’m so pleased you enjoy a bit more realism. Regards, Charlie.
Hi again. I forgot to say "yes please" to the airbrush demo. I'm in the market for one right now, so it would be very timely.
Thanks Stephen, I’m on the case. Regards Charlie?
Great video. Yes, please video your weathering airbrushing techniques.
Thanks Ed, I shall dust off my equipment. Regards, Charlie.
YES on the air brushing ....THANK YOU
Thanks, Frank, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
And another YES PLEASE for an air-brushing episode.
Thanks Paul , I’ll dust it off.
Regards Charlie
Thanks Charlie, yes to the airbrushing video. Steve.
You’ve got it Steve.
Would be great to see videos on weathering of wagons, but not just air brushing.
All in good time mate, but I have to start somewhere. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie. Useful vid as always. Air brushing would be good. Enjoying the esu section as well, I've been a bit nervous to try putting things on a decoder since I wiped a sound project off by mistake, so seeing you do it was a great help thank you, anything els you need to do to a decoder please film. Thanks again. I hope you're enjoying the sun.
Thanks Phil.
Thanks Phil, I’m so pleased that you found the video useful. Regards, Charlie.
PS. Like the way you use your Dremel; they do a very nice stand that has a tool holder and also has the means to hold the tool both vertically and horizontally to use it as a drill press or a bench grinder, leaving a free hand to deal to a bacon sandwich! Forgive me if you know about this - I've had mine for a few years. Steve.
Perhaps you could send me the link to the one you recommend Steve?
Regards, Charlie.
Charlie - Yes like you I have not used my airbrush for a couple of years or more , so some weathering of wagons, coaches and steam locomotives would be most welcome.
Terry
Thanks Terry, rest assured I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Another great tutorial Charlie - Hats off to McKinley too - Fantastic tip with the Pool Ball 🙂🙂
Thanks Andy, that’s most kind.
Regards Charlie
I was hoping you would run the pool ball down the helix to check for "deballments". All ZIMO decoders have the uncouple shuffle facility - I use Decoder Pro (part of JMRI) to set it up. Works brilliantly. Thanks for another terrific video - best Model Railway channel on TH-cam.
Thanks Christopher, that’s very nice of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Another Excellent and Entertaining video, Charlie. Your layout is so original and interesting. As I’m only just starting to build my small “end to end” layout, I’ve purchased an “00” sized pair of figures of Stan and Ollie moving the piano, which I’ve decided to paint myself. It’s those little items of detail that enhance a layout😉
Thanks David, it’s great to have you on board. Regards, Charlie.
Yes please to the weathering and another great video covering so many useful items.
Thanks mate, I should just dust off the airbrush
another fab video Charlie always look forward to your updates and airbrushing video sounds interesting to me the mini me of Charlie on his own layout just fab
Thanks mate, I’m so pleased that you find my videos interesting. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks Charlie. Another helpful video. In answer to your question about a video on airbrush weathering, yes please that would be great. Thanks again for your videos.
Thanks Peter, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Yes, I would love to see a piece on airbrushing. Thanks much, great video!
Thanks, Phil, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Yes please on the airbrush videos
And I shall dust off the airbrush box of gear. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, great update as always! Not read all the comments but just one on the lokprogrammer and function mapping, the physical output column you showed controls things like lights and other auxiliaries, on a sound decoder you get an extra column on the right hand side to add sound effects in, just thought it was worth clarifying :)
Thanks for the clarification, mate. Much appreciated, regards Charlie.
Another vote for the airbrushing video! Would be cool if you not only focus on weathering (which is of great interest) but general loco/rolling stock painting e.g. if you're changing a livery; I must confess, that's purely for selfish reasons, I've a bunch of stuff I need to paint & it'd be nice to see it done properly first!
I’m glad you’re with me on the airbrushing, however, I think it’s best to view Everard junctions videos on changing liveries. Regards, Charlie.
@@ChadwickModelRailway Thanks Charlie - I will hunt down those videos. I'm brand new to airbrushing, so looking for any good tips & tricks!
Been away for a while so just catching up. Have to say I am enjoying all the videos and look forward to the airbrush tutorials 🙂 As always, thanks for sharing.
Thank Andrew, the next one’s out on Friday. Regards Charlie.
As per the norm Charlie, again a vary good video, showing whats coming soon, like others I too am intrested in Air Brushing, but also scratch building from photos and converting measurements to full size then back down to HO or any other scale, this would be help full.
Thanks mate, I shall certainly dust off the airbrush. Regards, Charlie.
Would be interested in you airbrushing those wagons. Maybe a chance to see a batch process of them compared to other modellers showing the process through on just one.
It will be a learning curve for us all, Michael. Regards, Charlie.
Yes please air brushing video would be great Charlie
Thanks, Michael, I’m on the case. Regards Charlie.
Great update Charlie
All the best Deano
Thanks Deano, that’s very kind. Regards, Charlie.
Air brushing Charlie?yes please.
Thanks, Andrew, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Airbrushing videos? Yes please!
Okay, James, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, Some airbrushing and weathering technique Videos would be very much appreciated, look forward to the next instalment.
Thanks mate, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Yes airbrushing for beginners would be helpful, have dry brushed models for years but airbrushing can be an expensive leap.
And a dangerous one to Tony. Regards, Charlie.
The pool ball idea is brilliant. Regarding the problem with the helix, is it worth putting the ball at the top (or anywhere on the helix) let gravity do it's job and watch the ball closely as it descends. It might just show up an irregularity in the track. There again you might think I'm a nutter. Anyway Charlie, thanks again for another interesting video. David Parkin
I shall give it a go, David, but I think it will go like a train! Regards Charlie
Hello Charlie, thank you for info on the point movement. I wondered why my points were parting
Thanks Michael, I’m so pleased that you found the video useful. Regards, Charlie.
Great update Charlie, looking forward to seeing your weathered vans 👍
Thanks, Alan, fingers crossed on this one. Regards, Charlie.
I noticed the pool ball in a siding a few weeks ago and was going to leave a comment but, I assumed it was you model of the Cannonball Express!
Very good, I never thought of that. Regards, Charlie.
What a great video Charlie, well the finish line is in sight re the track. All the best with the helix, climbing in and out, hope you weren’t on your own for that “step” Love the live video programming; so easy to forget to save or upload to the loco. Looking forward to the next video and the next stage in railway. Enjoy the airbrushing when get started, small steps. Wishing the very best Marc from Leighton Buzzard
Thanks Marc, it’s great to have you on board. Regards, Charlie.
Yes to the airbrush videos 👍
I’m onto it, TL. Regards, Charlie.
Fantastic video again mate. I see your really determined to get your 100K.Minture clones of yourself to take over YT LOL. Give your good lady a Station Masters hat & get her on camera to direct the works LOL. You hope both have a lovely weekend. Take care mate :)
Thanks, Nigel, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the video. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie great video again, and yes i would and i'm sure some of your regular viewers would like to see them too . i cant remember if you have said in the pass that your railway room is centrally heated or not , if not can temperature effect the helix just a thought. I must say those wagons look a treat that T.M.C. done for you very clever weathering . Thank you again for your time and effort putting these videos together.
Thanks, Tony. I’m so pleased that you enjoy the videos. Yes, the room is central heated. Regards, Charlie.
Both interesting and entertaining Charlie.
Thanks, Malcolm, I’m so pleased you enjoy my videos. Regards, Charlie.
great vid charlie , chuckled at you on the chair with the drivers cap
Thanks Adrian, I dread to think what the final product will look like. Regards, Charlie.
great video once again and yes to the airbrushing episode
Thanks, John, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, great video as usual. One point I would like to bring up, is the suggestion that a block impregnated with aluminium oxide won't scratch the track is highly questionable. The abrasive surface of sandpaper and wet and dry is.... You guessed it, aluminium oxide. The coating on Tungsten Carbide metal cutting tools is..... You guessed again, aluminium oxide to give higher durability.
I for one don't believe your block would be less detrimental to the surface of your track than a peco track cleaning rubber.
You’re not the 1st to mention this Alex, however I think it is so granular that it is more of a polishing tool. Regards, Charlie.
Another really enjoyable video. Id definitely like to see a few video’s on air brushing!
Thanks, Rod, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
👍to weathering.
Thanks, Andrew, I shall dust off the airbrush.
@@ChadwickModelRailway Thanks Charlie.
Or you could leave the dust and call it weathering 😀
Airbrushing YES!!!!.... 18 wagons in 3mths using the TMC models as examples. Hope it goes well. I have seen others do it and it seems complicated. I would be tempted to take them to TMC three at a time and get them to do the work while I filmed.
Uncoupliers have been around a long time and these new ones do look great. I have vague memories of old Triang/Hornby one's that were spring loaded perminantly part of R600 track (short straight track). The only problem was it could uncouple everything that went over the uncoupler at slower speeds. As a kid I thought it was great.
As for the Helixes. Its been such a long time and still they don't work quite right. I am not sure I would have the patience to make them work and would not be happy keeping them if they were unreliable. There would be no guarantee that some new locomotive wont come along some time in the future that doesn't cause more problems. However I do recognise that the are perhaps the best solution to multi-level layouts.
Thank Charlie its been another great watch.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, George, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Yes please to an airbrushing and weathering video.
Then I shall dust off the airbrush. Regards, Charlie.
Air brushing demo, yes please 🙏
Then I shall dust it off. Regards, Charlie.
Another great vid, thanks Charlie.
Oh, count me in for your airbrushing vids. 😊
Thanks Peter, I’m sure we can work something out between us. Regards, Charlie.
Charlie you probably know this but if you go into preference on the esu program you can tick show cv's
You can then tweek them on any controller. Plus it gives you a greater insight into the dark world of the CV
Mike
I’m not sure I do know that Mike, but I shall check it out. Regards, Charlie.
Charlie, please stop pressing F9, you are making my house lights here in Tucson arizona go on and off....lol! You have such great videos, though I must admit sometimes I have no idea what you are talking about but you say it with such enthusiastic ways that I dont mind at all. I really enjoy all your videos and one day I will start on my own train yard....
Thanks JH, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
Thumbs up! and for air bushing videos
Thanks, Paul , I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Charlie; i used to use a cast iron ball, that would fit inside a 4" diameter drain. When a builder told me he had his new drain ready for inspection, I would come to site and proceed to place the ball in a manhole and check whether the drain was laid at the correct fall or had debris left in it. The look of shock on the builder's face. When the ball didn't appear at the next manhole, I used to tell the builder to dig up his new drains and let me have my test ball back ! Suprise, surprise, word got around the cafes used by the builders. and suddenly everyone's drainage was perfect !!
Wow, what an excellent strategy.
That sorted out standards.
Regards Charlie
Really enjoyable, as ever.Airbrushing? Yes, please. Didn’t TMC do a marvellous job?
Thanks, Alex, as you dust off the airbrush.
Oh dear snooker/pool balls 🎱are going to start disappearing around the country - great presentation as ever.
Thanks Murray, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it. Regards, Charlie.
Dear Charlie, great video! Love the way you explained the uncoupling sequence, very informative. Absolutely brilliant how your full body scan looks on the screen, really am impressed and looking forward to seeing the 1:76 Charles take his seat in one of your locos.
On the subject of the vertical curves on the helix you announced you’ll need to attend to; it’s very interesting that you showed the amount of possible movement in the middle of a ‘bridge section’ on the helix. Even though your helix roadbed consists of a laminated 2 layers of plywood, the span of each section may still be prone to the ‘sag’ effect you mentioned. Of course the extra vertical braces you showed may be a good option. Nevertheless, I’ve been wondering if a lateral vertical brace along the roadbed’s edges might be helpful. Let’s say as the plates of a plate girder bridge. This will significantly stiffen the roadbed and prevent the kind of sagging you were talking about. Also, it will provide better access to the helix tracks for future rail cleaning chores. With the existing threaded rod support system, you’ve got some excellent ‘bridge piers’ to mount such ‘plates.’
On entering the helix, which part of the vid was very delightful, considering you’re covering up the helix it might be sensible to create access from beneath. Can’t really remember now if the table the helix is mounted on allows for such a tweak, but I can imagine it will be useful to create such access right now, before you cover up the helix to permanently.
Of course, these are just suggestions, no push, just attempting to think along the vertical curve, the pun there sincerely intended. Cheerio
Thanks Vincent, for some excellent suggestions. Very much appreciated, regards Charlie.
Hi all, if new to weathering check out the Tamiya range of Weathering Master kit's A, B, C, D, E & F also the Panel Line Accent Colour's Light Gray, Gray, Dark Gray, Black, Orange Brown, Pink Brown, Brown, Dark Brown & Deep Brown. There's lot's of tutorials on weathering of model tank's, airplanes, cars ect same kinda thing just a different scale and shape lol 😅
Thanks Davey, that’s most useful. Regards, Charlie.
Thanks for the video Charlie. Sorry, I fast forwarded the details of programming the uncoupling. Absolutely essential if you operate DCC, but a little superfluous if you don't. About your weathering, how about using different weathering techniques, e.g. comparing air brushing compared with hand weathering and the use of weathering powders. Because you have 18, it means you could choose to use air brush on 3, spray paints with another 3, hand painting on a third set, and perhaps weathering powders. I just thought it might make an interesting video. I don't envy you sorting out the helix. There is nothing more frustrating than having one loco or even one coach de-railing at one point on a layout, especially if none of the others do it, and trying to find the cause. Thanks again Charlie.
Thanks Don, you make an excellent point about mixing up the weathering techniques. Regards Charlie.
Brilliant video Charlie. Hope nothing got too wet 😂. I would love to see some airbrushing videos as this is something I a. Hoping to get into when I start the scenic part of my layout.
Thanks, David, I shall dust it off. Regards, Charlie.
Excellent video as always Charlie.. Air brushing tutorials would be most welcome.....
Thanks, Graham, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Great video as normal Charlie, about the weathering, when I saw them some you could not tell that black others like mildly rust and black but two looked brand new. So all different.
Thanks Carlton, that’s the plan, all a little individual. Regards, Charlie.
Yeah that sounds a very Richard thing to do. Such a nice fella 🙂 There were some excellent layouts on show at Birmingham, including some highly creative and quirky ones. Did you see the branchline set in the main square of a wee town in a corner of Provincial France with lots of fantastic scratch-built structures and rolling stock? There really some utter belters on show 😎
Also managed to get a second-hand-only-taken-out-the-box-about-twice Bachmann Class 37 in green with split head codes boxes for 90 quid as well as a similarly good-as-new A2 Pacific for 95. Could not believe my luck! 👍🍻
Great job they did on those wagons, you have your work cut out as it is so gawd knows when you’ll find time for that, Charlie! 😂🤷
Cheers, have a great weekend mate 🍻👍 🍀
Thanks Tim, I’m so pleased you enjoyed the show as well. Regards, Charlie.
Great update video, Charlie 👍 It's spitting everybody in 😂😂
Thanks, Jeff, in these stormy times! Regards Charlie
Hello Charlie,
You showed your office with your ESU setup. Would you be able to show more of this setup and what you have inside of it? As this would be a good topic for others to see what is involved.
Thank you for such a good channel.
Kym…
That would mean a great deal of tidying up! Regards Charlie
Yes sir brushing videos
Thanks mate, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
deffo need to see you doing the airbrushing, learning myself so all help appreciated
Rest assured Les, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Charlie, I'll second the calls for airbrush vids - particularly weathering efforts! And please be careful with that step ladder! That did NOT look very stable to me.
Thanks mate, I shall dust off the gear. Regards, Charlie.
Another to class video Charlie. As usual terrific advice including track cleaning and removal of different boarded areas. One thing that I might suggest and apologies as I'm sure you've already considered it, a loco drawn track cleaner in a wagon as you mention the helix will at some point be difficult to maintain once covered. Using a couple of small wagons pushed by a loco with mild cleaning pads underneath sounds simple but could prove a challenge in practice so floating articulated pads dropped between the axles from the small cleaner wagons would be needed. Now you may ask, why have the loco pushing the 'cleaners', well the loco would likely run better on cleaner track where pulling it might get stuck on the dirty track. Anyway enough of my ramblings. Another top job Charlie. I don't even have a layout plan yet but I'm learning so much from your videos but my layout ideas ae starting to gel.
You make an excellent point Antony. I do use a loco drawn vacuum cleaner, and a loco drawn pad cleaner. Regards, Charlie.
I've done a little airbrusing, would always like to learn more basic hints and tips. One thing I think could be good is to go over, how to do it cheap and also, how not to over do it. Seen a few second hand models where people have gone a bit OTT with the old paints which might be why they sell them off.
I think you’re right, Dave, its always a difficult technique. Regards, Charlie.
Always enjoy your vids…..great stuff 👍🏼
Thanks, J1983, much appreciated. Regards, Charlie.
Great update and very useful info. Cheers
Thanks Gene, regards Charlie
Great update Charlie, can you please do the airbrush and weathering techniques video?
Certainly Stephen, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Another snip for the blooper real... 😂😂 It would be good to see how you attempt the air paint spraying weathering of the wagons, I always worry with the wheels and pickups on Locos but maybe slightly less of a concern with the wagons. Another brilliant video, I would like to see the 37 and correction measures you may have to make to the helix.
FYI... Swanage railway has a diesel weekend 11/12 May and I noticed they have a western there, a favourite of yours I believe. Keep up the great work.... BIG FAN👏👏
Thanks, Dave, that’s most kind. Regards, Charlie.
I've watched most of your recent videos and this is the first time your wife has popped up ;-)
Rest assured Rob, it’s not Margaret’s first interruption.

sure it won't be the last 🙂@@ChadwickModelRailway
Hi Charlie, any videos you would care to do on airbrushing (or for that matter anything on scenery, model building and placement) would be very welcome, indeed. cheers, Graeme
Certainly Graeme as we move into the scenic world.
Regards, Charlie
I would really appreciate your views on both airbrushing and weathering. Thanks
Thanks, Rob, I shall give it a go. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie,
You’re getting there a bit more to do though.
Cheers
Andy
Thanks, Andy, at least the tracking is almost complete. Regards, Charlie.
I'm trusting you on that track rubber Charlie, I've just bought one. 🧐 Your videos are making me spend money again. 😅
Rest assured, you will be a satisfied customer. Regards, Charlie.
Haha! Very interesting as usual Charlie. (What a good obedient husband you are!)
It’s the exciting life I lead Beatle fan. Regards, Charlie.
Would love to come on an "air-brushing" journey with you Charlie.
Then I shall dust off the gear accordingly. Regards, Charlie.
Nice one Charlie
Hi Charlie. Another great video. Many thanks. I have been watching your videos for a long time, but this is the first time I've made any comment. I would love some instructional videos on airbrushing. Even better would be an airbrushing course if you ever fancy running one. Thanks again for your videos. Pete
Thanks, Pete, my airbrush skills are not good enough to teach. But I shall bear it in mind. Regards, Charlie.
Great round up video Charlie, I for one would love to see your airbrush weathering skills I remember seeing you use a airbrush to weathering your track in some early videos, I wouldn’t mind seeing your kit construction skills as well sometime - would you ever have space for a turntable on your layout and maybe a roundhouse ? They don’t fit on everyone’s layout but just a suggestion 👍
So pleased that you found the video interesting Andries. Sadly, I have no space for a turntable or a roundhouse, but the airbrushing is on. Regards, Charlie.
Airbrush video would be great. Total beginner and missed model world shows demos that heard were good. Tinning paints and applying powders would be great. Thanks
Thanks JS, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
A few airbrushing videos would be great, tried it a few years ago with minor success. Something that put me off was the setup up and cleaning of the airbrush itself, so any help there would be great. Love the videos.
Rest assured Mike, I’m sure we’ll learn together. Regards, Charlie.
Airbrushing videos? Yes please. Thank you.
Hi Cliff, I’m on the case.
RegardsCharlie
I rather like the DDC Concepts track-cleaning rubber, but have you ever tried an offcut from a wooden (planed) batten? You'd be surprised what it can pick up from the track. It also varies depending on whether you rub with the grain, against the grain or across the grain. You can clean the batten afterwards with some sand-paper (or cut another offcut to make as new one). Finally, buffing the track gently with a some 2000 grit wet-or-dry (wrapped around said offcut) brings your track up like a new pin.
Thanks Alan, I certainly haven’t tried it with wet and dry, but obviously dry! Regards Charlie
Would certainly be interested in any airbrush videos please Charlie
I’m on the case for next week, Bob. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, Yes please, air brush videos would be very helpful.
Keep up the fantastic work. Always look forward to your videos, very insightful and instructional.
My son and I dabble in both N and OO. The former analogue with OO DCC. So we have the best of both worlds. Although N spoils us for full length realistic trains. Even though the OO has taken over the garage, all perimeter walls, anything more than a loco and four or five looks a bit daft. (We are firmly SR particularly NSE era, so art deco buildings are a must.....)
Just wanted to say we both look forward to your content. Please keep it up.
Warmest regards Keith.
Many thanks for a look into your world, Kieth. I hope you enjoy the airbrush videos, regards Charlie.
As a novice airbrush user I would appreciate a video on the subject.
We shall learn together, KW. Regards, Charlie.
I purchased an airbrush a year or two back but have been afraid to use it! So, yes, I would welcome a tutorial from you to give me confidence.
Thanks, Phil, I’m on the case. Regards, Charlie.
Hi Charlie, enjoyed the video, glad to see you are still quite nimble. That aside, I have one of those DCC Concepts track rubbers and it is brilliant. Cheers Greg
Thanks Greg, I never knew that they existed. Regards, Charlie.

Thanks Steve, that’s very kind of you to say so. Regards, Charlie.
regarding the grid displayed on the iPad... As the device is displaying a webpage, you would have to refresh it's view of that page as it will not automatically update.
Yes, I tried that Darren, it just won’t disappear. Regards, Charlie.
I like these videos Charlie, a variety of tips and advice - there’s a few things there of interest, starting with the track rubber. Like you, I do have a love/hate relationship with the Peco version for the same reasons as you do and particularly that it’s a bit of a double edged sword because the scratching action certainly cleans the rails but it also scratches them to bits as well ! So perhaps the DCC Concepts one is something to invest in next time a place an order.
Airbrushing is something I’ve often thought about as I’d like to have that skill to do so many things. But I’ve always been put off by all the “faff” associated with preparation and cleaning up. I look forward to some videos on the subject and hope you can include all that is involved to help me decide whether to bite that proverbial bullet !
And finally, I’m interested to see what you’ll be doing on the helix with those vertical pieces- I’m wondering if I need them as well. I’m very nearly ready to build mine.
Right, it’s Friday evening, curry night for me ! Time to get my curry fix and a beer !
ThanksBryan, I’m so pleased that you enjoyed it.
Cheers, mine‘s Stella.
Regards, Charlie.
@@ChadwickModelRailway As it happens, Stella is exactly what I’m having ! Cheers mate !

A bit late for this comment but better late etc.
Your comment about having a pool ball to test track for level struck a chord with me. I am an architect and still working at 75 but I still have a large marble in my desk which I take out on the odd survey that I do. My dad was also an architect and it is a trick that he taught me. Not sure that floor was level? Put the marble down and see what happens. Pool ball - marble, it's the same thing.
Love your videos. You think like I think - so there are least two of us in the world, which at least gives me some comfort!
Thanks Robert, that’s very kind of you to say so. Stay safe, regards Charlie.
