I run out of 6031(Buckeye Az), as of November 2023, my ADP is $456 on a 5-2 schedule. But i also work both Saturday and Sunday, so i get that weekend bonus pay every week. I started with Wal-Mart. August 2021.
**Trigger warning** The 5-2 schedule reminds me of TMC’s percentage pay system/ESOP. So many drivers quit, because the pay didn’t justify the mere 34hrs hometime. Walmart pay, makes it worth it working those days. Shoot, I never made that kind of money even hauling John Deere or driver trainer & even now hauling multimillion dollar oversized machinery. I’ve been a sucker for years. Thank you for the video.
Hi Rich. I spoke to you back in February. I started with Walmart February 28th Sanger Texas. Currently I'm on a 6/2. Based on what I'm hearing, drivers on a 5/2 or 5/2 5/3 are making the most money because you work more days in a calendar year. On a 6/3 or 6/2 you get alot of time off. Sometimes on my go home day I only have 3 hours available. They will not dispatch me so I just go home. My ADP right now is $328.58 Seniority and your DC plays a major part in your income. I will probably make 85K my first year. I will get my first full quarter safety bonus August 4. Should be around $1000.00. Sanger Tx just hired 8 drivers in May.
I did a video on schedules and pay. 5/2 5/3 is the lowest pay you can get. You avg. 4.5 days a week. 5/2 and extending makes the most. To be honest I ha e no idea how your ADP could be so low. Mine is over $100 more than yours. Do you go home daily?
@@WalmartRich nope I stay out 5.5 days. I run 12 to 14 hours the first 5 days and then only have less than 5 hours on day six. Sanger is Dallas-Fort and Oklahoma. So alot of short trips
Im not sure i understand your anger? People with senority bid each spring. They are schedules you can bid on. There are days off you can bid on. Some choose to bid on a route that they keep thier own truck.
Glad I found your channel, one question. I’m a yard driver out of DC 6017 in Seymour, IN. For months I’ve heard rumors about a program where they could hire us to be over the road. Not just us but any Walmart associate at the distribution. HR will not go into detail about it for some reason acting like they don’t know what’s going on when you ask them about it.
This is because nothing is set in stone yet. I was told it was going to happen in the fall of 2022. But then this new workday system crashed and EVEROYONE has been stuck. Stay tuned to my channel. My mentor Shawn is a cdt and will be part of that program. Ill let you know the minute I know something.
They actually have a couple programs starting some time next year throughout the US, I live in California and took a survey today so I’m hoping to get accepted now that I’m 21, the first time I applied for the program I wasn’t 21 and got declined
@@slw.2gr yup. Fast forward today, I did the survey as well. But unfortunately I was trying to drift my mustang and I totaled it resulting in a reckless driving so I straight up ruined my opportunity and I hate it. You know anything about Douglas, Ga DC. Got onboarding in a couple weeks. Was told I’m doing the 5-2 schedule. I will most likely extend 2 weeks a month. Can you clear over 100k.
@@theonekp sorry I just saw this. Not really. I work grocery and there is almost never a slow down with food. GM DCs may have a slow down because people don't buy as many goods. Did you go through onboarding yet?
@@WalmartRich No, I got a email at 12:50 am on 7/20/22 saying they decided not to move forward with my application. I don't get it, I'm more than qualified for the job...no accidents, my last ticket was in July 2018 in my pickup.
Glad I came across your channel I work at a DC and I was interested in doing the Fleet Development program and I have a question are you home every night or do you stay in your truck during your work week. Thank You for all the info it’s been very helpful
If I were you I would do the program. To answer your question it depends. Guys who work at a grocery DC make it back almost everyday. They can go home if they want. BUT! IF you go home you do not get the 42$ a night layover pay. Thats $210 a week (or over 10k a year) you miss out on. If you work at a GM facility you won't be home or to the DC most days. After you been here a while you can bid on a go home daily shift. It might be the lowest paying driver job tho because you only work 10-11 hrs a day. (You have to get back so the next driver can get in the day cab) If you have any other questions or need anything email me. Drkaraokedj@gmail.com
It is the majority. If you want to email me I can send you some documents on schedules etc. The 5-2 is the main assigned truck. Each DC may differ. I belive there is also a 6-2 (which is really a 5 1/2 - 2 1/2) which is assigned.
Extending is almost always available. However, they do not always offer the bonus pay for extending. Many drivers extend to raise the ADP tho. Its important to get a high ADP for vacation, LOA, or the times there are meetings etc and the pay 1/10th ADP.
I would like to start with why your ADP is 294. They base if off of 26 weeks and then divide by 10. Did you just start at Walmart? If so it will go up quick! since you have a 6th day your ADP will be a bit higher than a 5-2 5-3.
I'm trying to put in an application online for the Walmart DC in Hopkinsville Kentucky and it keeps saying my email address is invalid and won't let me go any further. Do you know how I can get around this?

@WalmartRich to be fair, my ADP was around $440 a month ago. In the last few weeks, I've been taking advantage of the $300 extension bonus.
Thanks a lot

I want this schedule. 😎
There are lots of schedules
Thanks for the video… Question just so I’m clear… What’s the schedule acetate if I wanted to make the most money possible???
5-2 is the most money. Because you'll work the most days and can extend. This will get you the most pay and the highest ADP for when you use pto
Thanks for the video!
What is the best day to start a 5-2 5-3 program
It doesn't matter because every 2 weeks your days off rotate.
That's a rotation shift !! So everybody takes saturday and sunday off , not seniority bs !! So the company can keep new drivers on board !!
Im not sure i understand your anger? People with senority bid each spring. They are schedules you can bid on. There are days off you can bid on. Some choose to bid on a route that they keep thier own truck.

30 months of safe driving.
