Thanks, rounded my own drain plug and was hoping I wouldn't have to pay a mechanic to fix it

How do you get one out that is totally rounded off ? I’ve tried the extractor sockets and they just round off as well. The next size smaller extractor won’t hammer on

I tried an extractor and it just continued to shred that bolt. Someone freaking put it on with a torque gun. It's way too tight.

@@jonathanpaine3411 I ended up having it so rounded that we used vice grips and it still didn't do anything. Gave up decided to try again the next day , had to use a size smaller than what my bolt size was for the extractor (17 mm but it was so rounded I used a 16) and I literally smashed it on with every ounce of force from a hammer. Then after 10 min of working at it pushing the ratchet so hard to try and loosen it that the engine was moving... It finally came loose.

Why do none of these kits include a 15mm socket? they all skip from 14 to 16.

The problem I have is that it was so tight even an impact drill wouldn’t get it out and wound up stripping. Even if I was able to grab it, it still won’t work.

it's NOT rounded if you can atach something to it.... also you are lucky that bold is from good metal..sometimes it's aluminum and you cant do nothing! it just too soft

Even aluminum can be grabbed with the teeth. And I’ve done it with fully spun rounded bolts. Depends on the quality of the twist socket too.

It’s rounded if a normal wrench won’t grasp it .
