G'day all - after dinner one night we took a walk along the riverside in Siem Reap to see what is going on. Looks so nice these days all lit up!

G'Day Mate , Walking off all the food you just ate haha, the riverside looks awesome ! from when i was there you took two steps then checked where you were walking vewy vewy dodgy , miss the street vendors always some tasty bits to be had , yep siem reap looks great now ...

G'day Maddo! Yeah mate it's really nice down that way now - no longer have to put up with the ankle breaking rando holes in the footpath! Hopefully PP can catch up soon too - no more busted pluggers! Hope you are going well mate...p.s here come the blues!!
you say its a crap video yet I stayed until the very end! 😂😂 these nights are good. I do miss all of the cheap food and 50 cent beer. I hope the prices didn't go up

Finally pleasant enough temperature-wise to be walking around for enjoyment. A few weeks ago, a walk like this would have had you absolutely sweating buckets, lol.
G'day mate! Agree 100%! The hot months in April/May the humidity is a killer!! Day or night you are just sweating non stop haha! Really enjoy the milder nights later in the year, It just makes simple things like a walk so much more bearable and enjoyable! Have you visited Siem Reap often? Sounds like you copped the hot season! @@MarcsMildlyInteresting Hi Marc....I live here now (over around Wat Bo). I've been to Cambodia a bunch of times, but this is the first visit back in SR since the 1990s. To say there have been a lot of changes would be a massive understatement.
The hot season in this part of the world (2023 in particular) is something else. I'm also from Melbourne - the 40 degree summer days back there are actually relatively pleasant. In Cambodia, Thailand, Laos etc the heat at those temperatures is enough to melt your face off....genuinely dangerous.
Anyhow - big thanks for the vids - They've always been super informative, and a lot more than *mildly* interesting.
A nice long walk along the river is great, especially at night. Good video!

Car Spotting: I saw my first Shelby (Mustang) parked on Street 27 during New Years last year. Absolutely beautiful !!
G'day Paul! Hehe I love car spotting here, for all of the rusty ol Camry utes, they make up for it in supercars! Pretty cool that someone brought over a Shelby 'Stang! What a sight that would have been haha! Hope you have been well mate!!

7:03 you walked passed Malis Restaurant. They have great food, excellent mango salad, sausage, and palm fruit dessert. Not expensive. Go try it sometime. Next time I’m coming, I will stay close to this restaurant.
