I like to think that the dragons of G5 are a different species of dragons than the ones in G4. The G5 ones have cutie marks after all, and it's possible that spike was one of those dragons all along. We never get an official answer on where Spike's egg came from in the first place. So my head cannon is that spike is Dragonlord of these tropical G5 dragons, but the G4 dragons are elsewhere and Ember remained their leader.
G5 feels like one giant clickbait. Not only does the very premise of A New Generation ruin the ending of Friendship is Magic, but to double down and barely reference it makes this generation all the worse. It ruins G4 while not referencing G4. Sure, there are some visual callbacks, but these are mostly in pictures. We barely got to see any G4 characters as actual characters in this series, and when we did, they were butchered.
Yeah. G5 had SO much potential. Just imagine how epic it would've been to see Sunny and the others explore places of G4, and discover secrets that even the Mane 7 couldn't. Where the magic came from, how Tartarus camw to be, or who created the Elements of Harmony. Who Celestia's and Luna's parents where, or how different important ponies developed after the S9 finale. But no; G5 spat in the face of all the old bronies, and crushed everything G4 maticulously build up.
In the Tell Your Tale episode "Misty-rious New Room" there are cameos of the Mane Six, plus the Generation 1 villains Tirek and the Smooze. the alicorn princesses and Discord.
There is rumours that G5 might be canceled next year, and then renewed again in 2026. But we don’t know yet, unless Hasbro confirms its true plans for MLP. They can’t just cancel it and then reboot it too early.
In that case, I can already tell that WILL happen. Call it an "educated hunch". 2026 will be the year MLP, the brony fandom, ALL OF IT will make a grand comeback.

G5 is already over. Make your mark is done, and tell your tale only has a few (or none, idk) episodes left, they're just stretching out when the episodes release to keep G5 going as long as possible before they move onto G6 (which is already in the works). Go watch @cscd's recent videos, he explains it all.
Imagine if Celestia, Luna, Twilight, Cadence and Flurryheart appearing in G5, like they are immortal since they are Alicorns as said so....why shouldnt they?

Twilight has start her Reign in S9S25, about 30y later in S9E26 she is big as Celestia, but in G5 small again (Power down not change the look as shown in S4E26) 3. The Tree of Harmony was always made of Crystal, but in G5 it is a real Tree (confirmed by Imalou, the Artist who has made Sunny, Izzy and Sprout) . You have also forget to mention Fluttershys Message to Discord in the Comic and Starsquirls Portrait in the Movie.
There is a slight problem with using moondancer The moondancer of g4 mention that Tishri had ancestors that were also named moondancer and her own older sister was name moondancer too that means could be at least one more moondancer that elderflower is talking about and the g4 moondancer
There was star swirl in the movie in g5 and the wonderbolts (i didnt know if you were pointing them out) also there was an episode (season 2 episode 5) of tell your tell where misty sees a glass frame of celestia and luna

Somehow I feel like the new main six are related to the original somehow in someway cause you can notice some of the similarities to couple of the main six characters like how the sheriff guy is King animals, but mostly represents applejack a little bit.

The reason why I have mixed feelings about G5: I frankly don’t know how to rate this…it just doesn’t make sense for the franchise, all of sudden Unicorns, Earth Ponies, Pegasi were AGAINST each other? How did that happen?! They tried to make it better by making the original MLP characters their personality’s…which makes it even more confusing 🫤 I really DON’T recommend because it just doesn’t make sense and because there’s a lot of plot holes…but due the fact that I’m a MLP Super-fan I forced myself to watch it just to understand the franchise more. Ugh!

God im very tired of this art style being used in every crappy modern western cartoons, It's LAZY!!! And sign of a a bad show and bad remake. They used this art style for teen titans go, power puff girls remake and thundercats remake. All three sucked and were a disrespect and an insult to the fans of the original shows. It's no wonder cartoon network is dying these days.
