I'd buy this game, day 1. I've actually been brainstorming a hypothetical "Tails Adventure" game, carrying on from his desire at the end of Frontiers to venture out on his own.
This story has the perfect tone for a Sonic game, character development, action set pieces, just the right amount of call backs to previous material, the big scale, new locations, lore drops that add to the old material instead of replacing it, and most importantly, a sick-ass transformation scene at the end. You did an awesome job taking what people like about Sonic and making something fresh within the realm of possibility, incredible video.
I like that idea but what about using the cyber energy to zap through the stages and overworld, giving something we didn’t see much of some new spot light.
@ just make it burn through rings faster whenever it enters combat, that way the fight becomes about winning as fast as possible before the form runs out and you are left vulnerable with zero rings in hand
This was great. The story in particular I appreciate because it provides Shadow a path towards happiness. I don't want Shadow's character to live in tragedy. Shadow Generations provided Shadow with "closure" I guess, but it didn't give him a new status quo, just a contextualization of his goals. If Shadow is in the Frontiers sequel than the one thing I want to see is a story that gives Shadow some much needed light in his life.
YO SEGA HIRE THIS MAN!!! Jokes aside, this is a very well put-together story and if this also had the action stages and open zone of Shadow Generations, I would consider this one of the best Sonic games!

I really like the teams idea, however I would change up some of the characters. I personally would have the teams be… Teams Sonic: Sonic Tails Knuckles Amy Blaze Tangle Surge (Begrudgingly joins the team after an encounter with Shadow that nearly kills her) Team Shadow: Shadow Rouge Omega Gemerl (Since he is a gizoid and all the lore Shadow has with gizoids) Cream (Gemerl wants to save her. Would also provide Shadow with a character with child-like wonder and optimism, not unlike Maria) Sage Whisper (provides a really interesting story of learning to trust Shadow after the Shadow androids killed the original Diamond Cutters)
I was dubious of the "Sonic doubt" arc, but the payoff was perfection, well done. I feel like this is a little too ambitious (gameplay-wise) for a direct sequel to Frontiers but I'd love to see something this scale eventually come from Sonic Team.
Yeah I know people are very picky about Sonic being the forever optimist, but I think that's best showcased when we see him struggle and overcome it. I won't please everybody, but that's ok. and yeah it's definitely a wishlist lol. Frontiers 2 will NOT be this crazy

This was Insane man. I love how both protags were developing at the same time. Sonic and shadow are my favorite characters so this was extra special for me. Love how a lot of the lore tied in with this. Love stuff like paralleling this to SA2. I’d maybe do more or change some characters around, but thats literally just me. Because this project was so good, my only thing would be maybe to make a few more games that lead into the events of this one. Love the characterization of shadow, especially you choosing to include that fist bump at the end. Again man, awesome job. You put a lot of hard work and thought into this, so not only have you got a sub, but I’d definitely love to see more of your ideas in the future. I’d be so amazed if some of this happened in a future game. Again, awesome job. (This game would definitely need Live and Learn playing in its finale)

Okay, can I just say that seeing the return of Hyper Sonic since 1994 and seeing the first appearance of Hyper Shadow was BREATHTAKING to say the least in this pitch for a PERFECT sequel to the best Sonic game after a heap of mid and trash, and I REALLY love how you gave an explanation as to how the hyper forms came back after so long, WITHOUT the Super Emeralds, and the answer was in front of us the whole time... *The Master Emerald...*
I have a lot to say.... I loved every minute of it the dialogue, the character interactions, everything. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time while watching this. And the inclusion of the hyper forms I was shocked. I really hope Sega brings them back. I also agree that the hyper forms should be used very rarely. I can tell you put a lot of work into this and because of that I think that you just created the best sonic game keep the great work.
Great job with the story. Love that scarf is basically shadow's version of tails! I would like to see you expaned on this pitch by explaining how the open zones and action levels are designend like If possible ofcourse.
Great story! And I commend the effort cause that’s A LOT of editing for a hour long video. While hyper sonic might be a little too optimistic, I enjoy the idea of it being a once a decade sort of thing. I don’t think Sega would do this whole story to a T because of just how ambitious it is, however I do hope they take a lot of elements from this. I think sonic can be a little 1 dimensional personality wise and that more emotion would benefit him, just like back in the Archie days. Once again, great video, thank you for the mini movie
Before continuing, I have two big ideas for a Sonic-centric game, BUT if we're following the lore from Frontiers 1 like SA2 did with SA1, I'll try to keep as few stuff from the other thing in this as I can. There'd be Five Open Zones, one saved for the Last Story, and the remaining four divided among Two stories. The Hero Campaign would center around Sonic, Blaze, Amy, and Tails. The Dark Campaign would center around Sage, who'd play like an animation mashup of Frontiers' different enemies, alongside Dr.Eggman and two begrudging other characters: Shadow and Knuckles. The Plot/Lore: My idea doesn't go SUPER in detail, but it's an extension of the Frontiers lore. We now know where the Chaos Emeralds came from, but not Why all these gemstones(Master Emerald, Time Stones, Warp Topaz, and Phantom Ruby. Heck, even the Sol Emeralds if you want to link the two worlds even more together) even exist in the first place. Also, it'd delve into that lingering plot thread about the god of the Ancients.
I like every element of this story with one exception: the fact that The End is treated as an outright malicious entity. To me, while the end can be seen as a force for evil, the message that I got from frontiers is that it’s a being that simply is.
This is just the video i was looking for i will definitely enjoy this thoroughly because we have gotten leaks about what could be added also that thumbnail is fire super shadow looks majestic, and it’s just what i hope happens even if sonjc, and shadow only go super together to fight the final boss as a adventure two reference which Ian Flynn is definitely willing to reference, but still frontiers 2 needs shadow, and possibly silver.
Don’t mind me. I’m just sitting here imagining a world where scarf and tails develop a “rivalry” that’s entirely performative and founded on friendship; basically just the two of them taking games like hide and seek or tag and upping the stakes by using their powers or tech, and whenever one wins the other says “good game, same time next week?” Ya know, just two little brothers entertaining each other while their big bros go off and do who knows what. That’s what’s going on in my head. Side note, setting the ending to Hopes and Dreams made my little heart BURST!
I love that. I wanted to include Scarf's dynamic with other characters, particularly Sage, Rouge, and Tails... but the video would have been twice as long

I’d love the idea. I have a great idea for another game: A game focused on a custom character that is similar to Shadow Generations (with the 2d and 3d levels). This game could let you create your own custom characters that will take on either a new story or some of the previous stories putting your characters into certain roles and you could take on the stories in certain orders. For instance, you could take on the story of Sonic Heroes with your characters, then take on the story of Sonic Adventure with your characters. There would be about like 6 or 7 story modes you can play through. This would probably be smaller game released in the middle of the year.

You lowkey cooked with this. And hyper sonic and shadow at the end is a perfect way to reintroduce the transformation. Not a huge fan of scarf tho. I think his purpose is well thought out but I'm not a fan of his character and design. Other than that this was pretty good, before I knew it I watched the whole thing.
So I had thought of something with someone else on Reddit having this game being a Metal sonic more focused one. Like your two stories it would be one side being sonic and the other being metal sonic. With a beat ‘em up and puzzle solving type game where they both get more abilities and powers as the game goes on, each unique to the characters. This is to utilize Metal’s bio data copying and Sonics natural talent to just be a badass. There would be different bosses, for each character and two bosses where one is base Metal vs Sonic and then Super Neo Metal vs Super sonic. There will be two final bosses for the stories and each story would end with super sonic and metal overlord charging at each other and that would end the game and the next game would start where that game ended to give them a finish to what happened last time and being in something new.
I definitely feel as if the Master Emerald’s origins should be related to the Gaia Temples in some way. As we have no idea why they’re connected to the Chaos Emeralds, this could be a chance to elaborate on that part of the lore I do also feel Blaze’s slot should be replaced for Silver as he has more reason to be in the present if a disaster is coming rather than Blaze who has a separate dimension of people to protect. This could also in a way make Team Sonic, Team Light to contrast Shadow’s Team Dark
Personally I'd like a game where Infinite (whos still alive I think?) is still really bitter about his defeat and is sorta losing his mind which allows The End to manipulate him into finding the Phantom Ruby again and bringing it into the Cyber Space in order to start fusing it with Earth, essentially imprisoning all living beings in cyber corruption like we saw with Sonic, except for Sage who is mostly unaffected but now tangible due to the partial merge. She watches in a moment of temporary weakness as Infinite appears in Dr. Eggman's lab and kidnaps him, completely unaware Sage was there. Sage knows Infinite is too strong with the Phantom Ruby for her to fight alone but she instantly surmises that Sonic and co are also likely frozen similar to Eggman. She realizes she only has one option for an ally strong enough to defeat Infinite, and thus she goes to activate Metal Sonic who has been upgraded into his Neo Metal form. The two of them go out into the world to explore and Sage picks up two different energy readings growing in size correlating to where this game's would be Team Hero and Team Dark are respectively. You then get to choose which one you go to, locking you into one path or the other. Neither team would have Sonic or Shadow. I kinda want to keep them for later. After an action stage that has you travel to the area Sage and Metal discover that the energy reading is coming from an "anchor" that is slowly corrupting the open area more and more. when you destroy the anchor the area returns to normal and the characters are freed from their cyber corruption. This loop kinda repeats with more characters like Tangle and Whisper showing up for Team Hero and Team Dark gets Surge and Kitsunami. I'm not sure how I want the game to end but I think what I already typed would make for an amazing game.
@@scrunkore Oh? I havent really found anything about him being sealed, just that some sorta portal opened up and sucked him and the remaining Rubies into it. Regardless, I think my story would be good for his character and he's just one of those "loose ends" like how The End is since only The End's avatar/body was defeated.
4:01 On the topic of bosses; the Titan fights still used the default combat. Super Sonic mainly added boosted power, durability, and most importantly; the power of Flight. What if the flying part was ditched for most of the bosses? For giant bosses, it could be about running around, weaving through attacks, and building up enough(I don't remember much science stuff so instead of momentum or inertia or whatever it's scientifically called, let's call it) Speed Energy, enabling Sonic to careen seemingly out of control and into the air, to deliver an absolutely DEVASTATING Spin Attack!
Quick nitpick but Blaze was already considered cannon because of Sonic rush and 06 even if it was erased from the cannon and that’s the same with Gemeral but still I like that idea Also the reason why the IDW comics follow the lore closely is because Izuka confirmed that the IDW comics were canon too the game series along with prime so technically for instance tangle and surge would already be acquainted with sonic by that point since IDW takes place between forces and frontiers

I'm sorry, I dunno if it's just because this is a brief summary or what, but I just don't care for Scarf. Sorry. He was the only element in this that made me roll my eyes. He seems like every other Sonic OC used for this sort of plot and, ngl, I really wished he was killed off.
I don't think Frontiers 2 should have a ton of characters to focus on. Should Shadow play a role? Sure. But they should probably constrain major focus characters to 6 or less. I'm a little reticent to think they should give Shadow his own Tails. That said, if they took Tails out for a game (and they set up to do that while also aging Tails up the next time he appears as part of Frontiers), maybe that could cut the redundancy a bit. Still, it's not like Shadow doesn't already have a cast of characters that support him. It's not inherently a bad idea, but it's one that could end up going bad pretty easily. There's literally no reason in that synopsis you gave for bringing Blaze or Vector into the picture though. You didn't even give them anything to do, so it's just superfluous nonsense. I like the thought of tying Black Doom to the origin of the chaos emeralds because that's also how you tie Shadow back to Sonic, but The End probably shouldn't be treated as a sentient life form that creates minions for the purpose of carrying out personal vendettas and such regardless of it being able to have a conversation about futility in the original ending of Frontiers. That said, The End was a fairly imposing boss so I think it makes sense to maybe make it a presence for a trilogy or so, especially since the fights against it so far have been more in the line of proxy fights. It'd make more sense to me for The End to have a counterpart that is an origin to beings that are themselves sort of diametric opposites that go on to be the progenitors of Black Doom and whatever counterpart that Sonic must have originate from to eventually explain why Shadow has powers similar to Sonic in spite of Sonic having no obvious relationship to Black Doom. Tying The End to the origin of the Chaos emeralds? Good stuff. Thematically appropriate. Especially since Entropy and Chaos are generally synonyms, but also opposites since Chaos could have been said to give rise to the big bang and whatnot. But... I think taking things *all* the way back to the origin of the universe might create something of a logical dead end for the series. On the other hand the story of why Sonic is what he is and how the chaos emeralds came to be are the two major plot mysteries of the series and they have to be told some time. I agree that there should be an element that Sonic is keeping secrets from his friends and that the carefree attitude is something of a facade. It's something they hinted at often in Sonic X though a couple major moments... when they first gather the emeralds in EP26, there's a strong implication that Sonic chooses to keep himself and his friends on Earth in spite of them ostensibly having an objective to return to their home world. Then towards the end of their time on Earth it turns out Sonic just has the ability to summon the emeralds if he wants to anyway. I always thought that angle gave Sonic a certain intrigue that has been lacking in the games in spite of there being every reason for it to be there. That said, the proposed delivery on that you gave here isn't really much. It's just "Oh Sonic is actually afraid of failure and puts on a brave face" while what I'm looking for is more along the lines of Sonic knows more than he lets on. Sonic frequently gets compared to Goku, but what I want out of him is a little more like Vash the Stampede... an entity that has been around longer than he lets on and knows more about the history of the universe than anyone realizes.

Hypersonic: alright I haven't been in this form ever since sonic 3 time to show the End who he is up against and if Hypersonic isn't enough then SEGA can make it so that Sonic can combine all his forms like, Hyper, Dark, Super, Ultra, Darkspine, Excalibur, Super sonic 2 (in some way), Prismatic sonic, Supersonic Fleetway, Werehog sonic, and I guess the wisps if those count as forms, but I would love to see that as fate is meant to be undefeatable so for sonic to do that would be CRAZY
If I had to make a Frontiers 2 I’d make it more 06 centered. They’re want to remaster 06 but why not just change the backstory, I would include a character swap to swap between Sonic, Shadow, and Silver (silver has a new map considering he’s in the future) and it’d be sorta like Spiderman 2 where you could swap anytime you want
Yeah I'd absolutely buy this game. The only thing I could really say is I fear there's too many characters on both teams. Blaze, Infinite, Metal Sonic and the IDW characters feel like they should have a bigger impact in the narrative but they stick out like a sore thumb even if they are optional. Everything else was really solid though!
Fair enough! The idea as they are completely optional and really only there if you want new playstyles and help with the bosses - the story does not focus on them much at all
If only Nintendo can stop being lazy with Mario and Kirby final bosses unlike Sega does with Sonic, also I got the perfect video idea: What if Meta Knight had his own transformations (but not the abilities Kirby gets when he sucks up enemies to gain there powers, I mean actual transformations with his own powers that are unique/accurate)
Wonder if shadow gens coming out and the reveals about black doom himself being revived via the larva affects this video alil? Because i wouldnt be surprised if doom can play an actual part in the story,as long as the black arms exist so will doom,maybe he can be within shadow,he cant take over his body but hes a voice that always exists.
Nice video, but personally I would replace surge with silver since she doesn't seem the type to fight with people who associate with sonic. Especially people like meta and shadow who looks like him. Also, if silver replace surge than you can include characters....burning blaze and super silver tag team fight, just to remind players sonic and shadow don't have to carry the whole team lol
have it be a heroes two, with groups of four or something seeing amy is pretty much a part of team sonic. like i dunno have sonic, tails, knuckles and amy as team sonic. cream, big, gemrel and (i dunno) tangle(?) as team amy. shadow, omega, rouge and mecha sonic from the scrapnik island comic (and maybe sage occasionally) all going after eggman/a rebellious metal (in the case of sage) as team dark. the chaotix for well team chaotix. and finally infinite and whisper just want eggman dead so they appear occasionally. maybe mecha and whisper can switch eh i dunno.
I think infinite would finnaly accept he’s not the strongest so he helps shadow so he can learn his strategies and beat him in the future as he becomes the shadow to well… shadow.
6:08 IDW doesn't fit the games. It was never meant to. It was just _declared_ so years after establishing. Also I've played Frontiers countless times and have never triggered any of those lines. If those characters were to be brought into the games, they'll need new backstories to better introduce them, as a lot of casual fans don't read IDW.
Not only are the IDW comics canon, but they were written with the intention of being as close to the games as possible. The characters wouldn't need to have newer backstories, they'd just need to be reintroduced like the Chaotix in Heroes.
@thunderx456 No. They were _declared_ canon in 2022, years after establishing. They have too much baggage to be brought over. The character portrayals of Sonic, Amy, Shadow and the like also don't match the games. It's the same story with Sonic Prime. Remember that? Plus Japan gets the comics later than we do, so the audience there would be completely lost if anything is brought over without altering it to fit the games.

For second, yes absolutely from the start the plan for the comics were to be as close to canon as possible it just wasn't declared canon until later.

So we're supposed to believe that a massive Restoration was formed, Angel Island was invaded, Eggman became a pacifist, and a world-ending virus was released, ALL before the events of Frontiers (add on an entire island of Badniks since the comic hasn't adapted Frontiers yet), and yet not a single mention was given to ANY of it in a game that references even the most recent game prior to its release (which came out after IDW)? I'm sorry, but it doesn't work like that. You want something to be canon, you must build it around the canon, not just say "Oh yeah, it's canon" and expect everyone to accept it. Cause again, not a lot of people read IDW, so they'll be very lost if anything is brought over.

are both stories happening at the same time? if so how are both sonic and shadow using the emeralds for boss fights at other parts of the world? otherwise i really like this pitch. maybe have there be an earlier mixup of both teams before splitting again before heading to space so their main meetup at the center isnt out of the blue for them.
If you pay close attention, they rotate. Sonic collects the emeralds in zone 1 but not in zone 2. Shadow collects them in zone 2, then Sonic again in 3, etc.
10:00 no they are not extinct watch till 10:06 because it's like why because I would understand if this was written before Sonic X Shadow Generation dropped and showed that black Doom was actually still alive but bro he is still alive so we could use the black arms instead of the proposed creature race or whatever
Im not sure about having all these returning characters. Thats not even getting into all the original characters. It would be alot to juggle for Sega. That being said, the Black Doom and Ancient connection is interesting. Eggman trying to make a Shadow of his own is interesting, but I'm not sure if it's in character considering Shadow is Eggman's second most infuriating adversary. I wasnt sold on Glace at first, but I like him being The End's answer to Sonic. The only companion character that makes no sense to me is Infinite willingly siding with Shadow. If he was forced to? Maybe, but he hates Shadow to his core.
I also have some ideas therefore for the overworld aswell, I don't know if it will fit entirely in this concept, but I hope so. The Subbereggo (yeah, that's a kinda fucking lame name, but really horrible on doing that type unusually of things, also it's pretty funny by the other side lol, but let's continue) And then in that installation, it would have many buttons, security alerts, some extremely huge dark ways and blocks of steel blocking it, as too compensate too in that context.. lasers. Everything you would see at security related, but in that waypaths, it is some little doors with an pad with can only be accessible by face reorganization, with also the size of an average badnik/ egg-robo, that is the only kind of being that can exclusively enter in internal places like that on the base. You can probably think that you need a badnik to enter, isn't it? Yup. And therefore I think of some form that you can acess properly to gather up there, and then, when you immerse and enter yourself on the accessible places of the map, you find an object floating normally as an unusual obtainable item would be. And then it would be an rope there, and then, you would use Chaos Energy, to light up that rope, and aim on a machine, then, it will be certain to do that, you would enter on first person, mode while Making a gameplay transcition to the robot in person, then, you would use the normal controls to do it, with the normal controller, and then, to make it more difficult, it would be a time on the UI screen, that's the time that the Chaos Energy unplugs in. And if you mensage it within the time put in, you would be acessible to acess those areas, that will happen repeteadly on the overworld, some times you even need to unlock one, two, three, however it does, badniks would also have yellow eyes on then instead of its normal color degrades. I have even some more in store aswell, but that would be too much for a singular comment, if only that thing is a huge text here, imagine the rest. I hope that serves well!

I was dubious of the "Sonic doubt" arc, but the payoff was perfection, well done.
I feel like this is a little too ambitious (gameplay-wise) for a direct sequel to Frontiers but I'd love to see something this scale eventually come from Sonic Team.
Yeah I know people are very picky about Sonic being the forever optimist, but I think that's best showcased when we see him struggle and overcome it. I won't please everybody, but that's ok. and yeah it's definitely a wishlist lol. Frontiers 2 will NOT be this crazy

This was Insane man. I love how both protags were developing at the same time. Sonic and shadow are my favorite characters so this was extra special for me. Love how a lot of the lore tied in with this. Love stuff like paralleling this to SA2. I’d maybe do more or change some characters around, but thats literally just me. Because this project was so good, my only thing would be maybe to make a few more games that lead into the events of this one. Love the characterization of shadow, especially you choosing to include that fist bump at the end. Again man, awesome job. You put a lot of hard work and thought into this, so not only have you got a sub, but I’d definitely love to see more of your ideas in the future. I’d be so amazed if some of this happened in a future game. Again, awesome job.

Okay, can I just say that seeing the return of Hyper Sonic since 1994 and seeing the first appearance of Hyper Shadow was BREATHTAKING to say the least in this pitch for a PERFECT sequel to the best Sonic game after a heap of mid and trash, and I REALLY love how you gave an explanation as to how the hyper forms came back after so long, WITHOUT the Super Emeralds, and the answer was in front of us the whole time...

I have a lot to say.... I loved every minute of it the dialogue, the character interactions, everything. I had the biggest smile on my face the entire time while watching this. And the inclusion of the hyper forms I was shocked. I really hope Sega brings them back. I also agree that the hyper forms should be used very rarely. Great story! And I commend the effort cause that’s A LOT of editing for a hour long video. While hyper sonic might be a little too optimistic, I enjoy the idea of it being a once a decade sort of thing. I don’t think Sega would do this whole story to a T because of just how ambitious it is, however I do hope they take a lot of elements from this. I think sonic can be a little 1 dimensional personality wise and that more emotion would benefit him, just like back in the Archie days. Once again, great video, thank you for the mini movie

Before continuing, I have two big ideas for a Sonic-centric game, BUT if we're following the lore from Frontiers 1 like SA2 did with SA1, I'll try to keep as few stuff from the other thing in this as I can.
There'd be Five Open Zones, one saved for the Last Story, and the remaining four divided among Two stories.
The Hero Campaign would center around Sonic, Blaze, Amy, and Tails.
The Dark Campaign would center around Sage, who'd play like an animation mashup of Frontiers' different enemies, alongside Dr.Eggman and two begrudging other characters: Shadow and Knuckles.
The Plot/Lore: My idea doesn't go SUPER in detail, but it's an extension of the Frontiers lore. We now know where the Chaos Emeralds came from, but not Why all these gemstones(Master Emerald, Time Stones, Warp Topaz, and Phantom Ruby. Heck, even the Sol Emeralds if you want to link the two worlds even more together) even exist in the first place.
Also, it'd delve into that lingering plot thread about the god of the Ancients.

I like every element of this story with one exception: the fact that The End is treated as an outright malicious entity. To me, while the end can be seen as a force for evil, the message that I got from frontiers is that it’s a being that simply is.

Don’t mind me. I’m just sitting here imagining a world where scarf and tails develop a “rivalry” that’s entirely performative and founded on friendship; basically just the two of them taking games like hide and seek or tag and upping the stakes by using their powers or tech, and whenever one wins the other says “good game, same time next week?” Ya know, just two little brothers entertaining each other while their big bros go off and do who knows what. That’s what’s going on in my head.
Side note, setting the ending to Hopes and Dreams made my little heart BURST!

I’d love the idea. I have a great idea for another game: A game focused on a custom character that is similar to Shadow Generations (with the 2d and 3d levels). This game could let you create your own custom characters that will take on either a new story or some of the previous stories putting your characters into certain roles and you could take on the stories in certain orders. For instance, you could take on the story of Sonic Heroes with your characters, then take on the story of Sonic Adventure with your characters. There would be about like 6 or 7 story modes you can play through. This would probably be smaller game released in the middle of the year.

Not a huge fan of scarf tho. I think his purpose is well thought out but I'm not a fan of his character and design.
Other than that this was pretty good, before I knew it I watched the whole thing.
So I had thought of something with someone else on Reddit having this game being a Metal sonic more focused one. Like your two stories it would be one side being sonic and the other being metal sonic. With a beat ‘em up and puzzle solving type game where they both get more abilities and powers as the game goes on, each unique to the characters. This is to utilize Metal’s bio data copying and Sonics natural talent to just be a badass. There would be different bosses, for each character and two bosses where one is base Metal vs Sonic and then Super Neo Metal vs Super sonic. There will be two final bosses for the stories and each story would end with super sonic and metal overlord charging at each other and that would end the game and the next game would start where that game ended to give them a finish to what happened last time and being in something new.

I definitely feel as if the Master Emerald’s origins should be related to the Gaia Temples in some way. As we have no idea why they’re connected to the Chaos Emeralds, this could be a chance to elaborate on that part of the lore
I do also feel Blaze’s slot should be replaced for Silver as he has more reason to be in the present if a disaster is coming rather than Blaze who has a separate dimension of people to protect. This could also in a way make Team Sonic, Team Light to contrast Shadow’s Team Dark
this story would explain why there's remains of echidna temples in the sonic adventure 2 desert map

Personally I'd like a game where Infinite (whos still alive I think?) is still really bitter about his defeat and is sorta losing his mind which allows The End to manipulate him into finding the Phantom Ruby again and bringing it into the Cyber Space in order to start fusing it with Earth, essentially imprisoning all living beings in cyber corruption like we saw with Sonic, except for Sage who is mostly unaffected but now tangible due to the partial merge. She watches in a moment of temporary weakness as Infinite appears in Dr. Eggman's lab and kidnaps him, completely unaware Sage was there.
Sage knows Infinite is too strong with the Phantom Ruby for her to fight alone but she instantly surmises that Sonic and co are also likely frozen similar to Eggman. She realizes she only has one option for an ally strong enough to defeat Infinite, and thus she goes to activate Metal Sonic who has been upgraded into his Neo Metal form.
The two of them go out into the world to explore and Sage picks up two different energy readings growing in size correlating to where this game's would be Team Hero and Team Dark are respectively. You then get to choose which one you go to, locking you into one path or the other. Neither team would have Sonic or Shadow. I kinda want to keep them for later.
After an action stage that has you travel to the area Sage and Metal discover that the energy reading is coming from an "anchor" that is slowly corrupting the open area more and more. when you destroy the anchor the area returns to normal and the characters are freed from their cyber corruption.
This loop kinda repeats with more characters like Tangle and Whisper showing up for Team Hero and Team Dark gets Surge and Kitsunami.
I'm not sure how I want the game to end but I think what I already typed would make for an amazing game.

Regardless, I think my story would be good for his character and he's just one of those "loose ends" like how The End is since only The End's avatar/body was defeated.
4:01 On the topic of bosses; the Titan fights still used the default combat. Super Sonic mainly added boosted power, durability, and most importantly; the power of Flight.
What if the flying part was ditched for most of the bosses? For giant bosses, it could be about running around, weaving through attacks, and building up enough(I don't remember much science stuff so instead of momentum or inertia or whatever it's scientifically called, let's call it) Speed Energy, enabling Sonic to careen seemingly out of control and into the air, to deliver an absolutely DEVASTATING Spin Attack!
Quick nitpick but Blaze was already considered cannon because of Sonic rush and 06 even if it was erased from the cannon and that’s the same with Gemeral but still I like that idea
Also the reason why the IDW comics follow the lore closely is because Izuka confirmed that the IDW comics were canon too the game series along with prime so technically for instance tangle and surge would already be acquainted with sonic by that point since IDW takes place between forces and frontiers

I don't think Frontiers 2 should have a ton of characters to focus on. Should Shadow play a role? Sure. But they should probably constrain major focus characters to 6 or less. I'm a little reticent to think they should give Shadow his own Tails. That said, if they took Tails out for a game (and they set up to do that while also aging Tails up the next time he appears as part of Frontiers), maybe that could cut the redundancy a bit. Still, it's not like Shadow doesn't already have a cast of characters that support him. It's not inherently a bad idea, but it's one that could end up going bad pretty easily. There's literally no reason in that synopsis you gave for bringing Blaze or Vector into the picture though. You didn't even give them anything to do, so it's just superfluous nonsense.
I like the thought of tying Black Doom to the origin of the chaos emeralds because that's also how you tie Shadow back to Sonic, but The End probably shouldn't be treated as a sentient life form that creates minions for the purpose of carrying out personal vendettas and such regardless of it being able to have a conversation about futility in the original ending of Frontiers. That said, The End was a fairly imposing boss so I think it makes sense to maybe make it a presence for a trilogy or so, especially since the fights against it so far have been more in the line of proxy fights. It'd make more sense to me for The End to have a counterpart that is an origin to beings that are themselves sort of diametric opposites that go on to be the progenitors of Black Doom and whatever counterpart that Sonic must have originate from to eventually explain why Shadow has powers similar to Sonic in spite of Sonic having no obvious relationship to Black Doom.
Tying The End to the origin of the Chaos emeralds? Good stuff. Thematically appropriate. Especially since Entropy and Chaos are generally synonyms, but also opposites since Chaos could have been said to give rise to the big bang and whatnot. But... I think taking things *all* the way back to the origin of the universe might create something of a logical dead end for the series. On the other hand the story of why Sonic is what he is and how the chaos emeralds came to be are the two major plot mysteries of the series and they have to be told some time.
I agree that there should be an element that Sonic is keeping secrets from his friends and that the carefree attitude is something of a facade. It's something they hinted at often in Sonic X though a couple major moments... when they first gather the emeralds in EP26, there's a strong implication that Sonic chooses to keep himself and his friends on Earth in spite of them ostensibly having an objective to return to their home world. Then towards the end of their time on Earth it turns out Sonic just has the ability to summon the emeralds if he wants to anyway. I always thought that angle gave Sonic a certain intrigue that has been lacking in the games in spite of there being every reason for it to be there. That said, the proposed delivery on that you gave here isn't really much. It's just "Oh Sonic is actually afraid of failure and puts on a brave face" while what I'm looking for is more along the lines of Sonic knows more than he lets on. Sonic frequently gets compared to Goku, but what I want out of him is a little more like Vash the Stampede... an entity that has been around longer than he lets on and knows more about the history of the universe than anyone realizes.

If I had to make a Frontiers 2 I’d make it more 06 centered. They’re want to remaster 06 but why not just change the backstory, I would include a character swap to swap between Sonic, Shadow, and Silver (silver has a new map considering he’s in the future) and it’d be sorta like Spiderman 2 where you could swap anytime you want

Yeah I'd absolutely buy this game. The only thing I could really say is I fear there's too many characters on both teams. Blaze, Infinite, Metal Sonic and the IDW characters feel like they should have a bigger impact in the narrative but they stick out like a sore thumb even if they are optional. Everything else was really solid though!
Fair enough! The idea as they are completely optional and really only there if you want new playstyles and help with the bosses - the story does not focus on them much at all
If only Nintendo can stop being lazy with Mario and Kirby final bosses unlike Sega does with Sonic, also I got the perfect video idea: What if Meta Knight had his own transformations (but not the abilities Kirby gets when he sucks up enemies to gain there powers, I mean actual transformations with his own powers that are unique/accurate)

Nice video, but personally I would replace surge with silver since she doesn't seem the type to fight with people who associate with sonic. Especially people like meta and shadow who looks like him. Also, if silver replace surge than you can include characters....burning blaze and super silver tag team fight, just to remind players sonic and shadow don't have to carry the whole team lol

have it be a heroes two, with groups of four or something seeing amy is pretty much a part of team sonic. like i dunno have sonic, tails, knuckles and amy as team sonic. cream, big, gemrel and (i dunno) tangle(?) as team amy. shadow, omega, rouge and mecha sonic from the scrapnik island comic (and maybe sage occasionally) all going after eggman/a rebellious metal (in the case of sage) as team dark. the chaotix for well team chaotix. and finally infinite and whisper just want eggman dead so they appear occasionally. maybe mecha and whisper can switch eh i dunno.
I would love to bring back the custom avatar for a online mode i just hope they get another chance.

IDW doesn't fit the games. It was never meant to. It was just _declared_ so years after establishing. Also I've played Frontiers countless times and have never triggered any of those lines.
If those characters were to be brought into the games, they'll need new backstories to better introduce them, as a lot of casual fans don't read IDW.
Not only are the IDW comics canon, but they were written with the intention of being as close to the games as possible. The characters wouldn't need to have newer backstories, they'd just need to be reintroduced like the Chaotix in Heroes.

No. They were _declared_ canon in 2022, years after establishing. They have too much baggage to be brought over. The character portrayals of Sonic, Amy, Shadow and the like also don't match the games.
It's the same story with Sonic Prime. Remember that?
Plus Japan gets the comics later than we do, so the audience there would be completely lost if anything is brought over without altering it to fit the games.

So we're supposed to believe that a massive Restoration was formed, Angel Island was invaded, Eggman became a pacifist, and a world-ending virus was released, ALL before the events of Frontiers (add on an entire island of Badniks since the comic hasn't adapted Frontiers yet), and yet not a single mention was given to ANY of it in a game that references even the most recent game prior to its release (which came out after IDW)?
I'm sorry, but it doesn't work like that. You want something to be canon, you must build it around the canon, not just say "Oh yeah, it's canon" and expect everyone to accept it. Cause again, not a lot of people read IDW, so they'll be very lost if anything is brought over.

otherwise i really like this pitch. maybe have there be an earlier mixup of both teams before splitting again before heading to space so their main meetup at the center isnt out of the blue for them.
If you pay close attention, they rotate. Sonic collects the emeralds in zone 1 but not in zone 2. Shadow collects them in zone 2, then Sonic again in 3, etc.

Im not sure about having all these returning characters. Thats not even getting into all the original characters. It would be alot to juggle for Sega.
That being said, the Black Doom and Ancient connection is interesting. Eggman trying to make a Shadow of his own is interesting, but I'm not sure if it's in character considering Shadow is Eggman's second most infuriating adversary.
I wasnt sold on Glace at first, but I like him being The End's answer to Sonic. The only companion character that makes no sense to me is Infinite willingly siding with Shadow. If he was forced to? Maybe, but he hates Shadow to his core.

I also have some ideas therefore for the overworld aswell, I don't know if it will fit entirely in this concept, but I hope so.
The Subbereggo (yeah, that's a kinda fucking lame name, but really horrible on doing that type unusually of things, also it's pretty funny by the other side lol, but let's continue)
And then in that installation, it would have many buttons, security alerts, some extremely huge dark ways and blocks of steel blocking it, as too compensate too in that context.. lasers. Everything you would see at security related, but in that waypaths, it is some little doors with an pad with can only be accessible by face reorganization, with also the size of an average badnik/ egg-robo, that is the only kind of being that can exclusively enter in internal places like that on the base.
You can probably think that you need a badnik to enter, isn't it? Yup. And therefore I think of some form that you can acess properly to gather up there, and then, when you immerse and enter yourself on the accessible places of the map, you find an object floating normally as an unusual obtainable item would be. And then it would be an rope there, and then, you would use Chaos Energy, to light up that rope, and aim on a machine, then, it will be certain to do that, you would enter on first person, mode while Making a gameplay transcition to the robot in person, then, you would use the normal controls to do it, with the normal controller, and then, to make it more difficult, it would be a time on the UI screen, that's the time that the Chaos Energy unplugs in. And if you mensage it within the time put in, you would be acessible to acess those areas, that will happen repeteadly on the overworld, some times you even need to unlock one, two, three, however it does, badniks would also have yellow eyes on then instead of its normal color degrades. I have even some more in store aswell, but that would be too much for a singular comment, if only that thing is a huge text here, imagine the rest. I hope that serves well!
