I originally preordered this printer, excited at what the technology being applied would do in improving the user experience in resin 3D printing. After some troubled reviews and the experience of actual customers buying this printer I made the decision to cancel the order, on cancellation anycubic wanted to send me a printer free. Of course I said yes.
My experience is this, it’s easy to use and it’s literally a turn on, slap resin in the vat and press print. Superb, except I am not seeing the detail that is even equivalent to my 8k printers, and since I own a fast 8k printer (creality Halot mage pro) which actually prints fast and with high detail then I decided the anycubic m5s is still not for me. I have given the feedback to anycubic and I am waiting to hear from them as I want to give this machine to a local college as it will be of greater benefit than sitting on a shelf in my house.
That’s a shame and I hear that Halot is crazy fast! Obviously not having all of them it’s tricky to compare, but at least you got a free printer!
Anycubic has said that anti aliasing is on default for the M5 printers. So they will not be as crisp and detailed as the 8k printers. It's disappointing that that wasn't included in the information given before the preorders went out. Along with the 19x24 pixel density, it isn't going to be as detailed or accurate as the previous 8k lineups.

Hi, can you help somehow? I got this pronter yesterday and not had a print off it yet a few pancakes and overexposed validation matrix test no failure detections however but was wonder was these model's printed straight out the box sort of thing did you have to get the exposure diald in first?
It's crap I just canceled my other preorder and returning my first one because the fast resin is crap en brittle similar to their original standard resin before they upgraded the formula..
Anycubic themselves admit there older 8k printers are much sharper when it comes to the tiny details and it has a problem with over exposure even at just 1s exposure because you can not alter the UV power level.
There are a few other reviews that point out everything I have just said and they also got responses from anycubic who confirmed everything, they also said "if you want detail then the standard m5 is the printer you want" end quote.. So yer I've never had any problems leveling a bed so auto leveling isn't important and it doesn't have the best print quality but if you don't mind giving up print quality for speed then yer go for it I guess....
Ahahaha, I can see why "Disabled by Owner" is showing under the thumbs down...this printer is a pile of crap, so many people were fooled by the hype...the Saturn 3 Ultra craps all over the M5S...warning to people seeing thos youtube clip on because of it thinking of buying the M5S...check out a heap of other youtube review clips for this printer and you will quickly learn to avoid it at all costs...
