Thinking of going from my pixel 3xl to this since my battery lasts a good hour before dying, as well as it either freezes or crashes in almost every app I open. Quite excited to see if I can get it this weekend :)
Nice review. When they eliminated the micro SD card it was a big problem. Every file saving/ backup system has failed and costs extra $ every month. "Just get the larger memory" you say! Well the 512 gig memory has not been available in the United States since a week or two after the phone's release. Yes it may be a great phone but it is not available with the memory I need.
As someone who owns an A71 5G, the S21 Ultra is what I'm upgrading to. I stream HOURS of Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, etc. And I need the battery life that thing provides
This phone is definitely a powerhouse. My Apple user friends just refuse to admit it. The only downfall is finding a good screen protector and how the design is similar to their cheaper non flagship phones.

Well I had commented on this video before I received my S21 Ultra has it gave me some preparation for what was to come. In no way did I realize how much difference there was between an Android and iPhone and even though your video and others help prepare me somewhat without them I may have been in trouble LOL. I've had this 21 Ultra for about a month-and-a-half now and absolutely love it. I mean it is 2021 so you really can't go wrong with most of the flagship phones but I am glad I chose this one house the camera is outstanding and I have so much more to explore. Once again I just wanted to say thanks for helping people like me. You have a friend in Columbus Ohio!
Just bought the phone like a month ago. Pretty solid so far ! I like a lot of the features you talked about. But got to admit, had I known the phone does not have a Micro SD card slot which is a must for me, I would not have bought it. i missed this detail when I looked up the phone coz it is such a given for me in terms of features. Still dont understand why Samsung decided not to keep that option. Anyways... thanks for the video ! I am stuck with this phone for a while now.. lol
Phantom black on this thing still looks killer 🔥 For the reduced price at $1000, that's actually pretty good price for what it offers especially considering that the newly launched OnePlus 9 Pro also price the same and no offense but S21 Ultra easily eat the OnePlus for breakfast haha 😅😂 This phone is a beast

+Shane Symonds I got the chance to see the Galaxy S21 Ultra and It's a very nice phone. The only thing that is holding me back from getting either this phone, or the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra is, my Galaxy Z Fold2, or the Galaxy Z Fold3.
I bought an S21 last night on amazon and it'll be here tomorrow. What I don't like is when people say the phone is tough and only talk about scratches. What about us people who drop our phones down a flight of stairs or watch as it bounces like a basketball across the hard tile floor? I think I'd rather have the shockproof case and screen protector. And I spent a bit more money on the higher storage. Just because apps and such are getting bigger and bigger every year and while my current phone, an S6 (yes, that old) still has about half the storage I want to make sure I have extra room. The last thing I want to do is fight for space on my phone.
I've owned this phone for around the same amount of time and it has its issues, although I have been very pleased with it. This was the first phone I've gotten in this price range, and I feel as though the s21 ultra is one of the best options for price to product compared to other companies. Would definitely recommend if it's within your budget...
I do not like the non replaceable battery. That means that once a given battery begins degrading one is left no other option than a full replacement of the device.
I'm a fan of the note series currently using a note 8 , but the issue since the note 7 explosion was battery life, the note series is always neglected when it comes to that. It is the only thing preventing me from buying it.
@@Mousa2070 Yes I agree the battery life on the Note series has always been horrible, never understood why they never paid it any attention, I can completely see where you are coming from. I guess the only consolation is that the charge time is insanely fast which is what I found anyway.
I really like this phone. Only issue I had was the storage. I liked the previous model with the microsd slot. 256 didn't seem like much to me. And the 512gb was out of stock since the beginning. Overall good phone though
Great video, very informative. I really like this phone. I currently have an S10+. I'd love to upgrade to the S21 Ultra but OMG, the price is just too much.
Samsung New Zealand charges NZ$2,199 for the 256GB version, and NZ$2,499 for the 512GB version. The 512GB version is only available in Black, but the 256GB is available also in phantom SILVER. No.1 reason people upgrade is THE CAMERA (or if the battery is wearing out). I have a Samsung S10+ Ceramic White which has an inferior camera system to the S21 Ultra which has gigantic huge lenses which let in more light. The bad thing about the S21 lineup is no AC charger, no headphones, no SD expandable storage and no headphone jack. But being a TH-camr, I feel the need to upgrade. I also have the Sony a7c camera with a 20mm f1.8 Sony G Lens.
I would recommend a case. I cracked the back glass within 23 days of using and it is 70 GBP plus shipping at the cheapest. It was just a knee-hip high drop. The phone dropped from my pocket to the ground while I was standing up to leave a restaurant.
Got my S21 Ultra during the Samsung Black Deals including a 10GB 5g contract for 600$. I am loving it and it's probably the best deal I got for a phone so far.
I've had the device for three months and I'm totally satisfied. I just think it could be a little smaller and lighter. Otherwise there is simply nothing to complain about.

It is cool that the display is always on when the screen otherwise is black (as on iPhone). This reminds me of clock radio in the bedroom. Even centered. So rad.

I remember upgrading to my first nice smartphone with the S9 back in 2018, sadly I just broke it so it may be time to save for a new upgrade and this is the front runner.
Id say the battery gets more to 7-8 hours screen on time. From your battery usage it was 6 hours of youtube and youtube is very optimized on the latest samsungs, they hardly drain any battery compared to constanty texting/snapchat and a few other apps. So id say its actually less depending what you are doing as some apps drain battery much faster than others

I had the Samsung Galaxy Ultra for a day. I had to switch back to the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It would not connect wirelessly to my Yamaha Keyboard. I was shocked. It actually gave my Yamaha a warning ⚠️ saying I need to download an app to use it. That’s why I went back to iPhone. Otherwise, I just would’ve kept the Ultra. IPhone still wins in my opinion.

Thinking of going from my pixel 3xl to this since my battery lasts a good hour before dying, as well as it either freezes or crashes in almost every app I open. Quite excited to see if I can get it this weekend :)
Do it, it's fabulous
That would be an awesome upgrade, you will definitely notice and appreciate the differences between those 2 phones
Imagine being fortunate enough to have a 3xl. Still a solid phone if you ask me. Better than my Zenfone Max m1....
This phone sucks because it does not support an SD card!
@@pokeymon4552 do you really need more then 512gb?
I loved your simple and genuine review and comparaison. Thanks.
I splurged and used ATT's trade in promotion for Mother's Day to order this phone and I'm so excited
What did you get for the trade in?
Me too. Love it! AT&T and Samsung are the greatest 🙌

Im not an iphone fan boy but i bought the 12 pro max and i kinda regret not buying the s21 ultra, but i don't want to be stuck again with 2 phones is kinda irritating after a while so i will be waiting for the next s22

Whew, paid a thousand a year later, so I don’t feel ripped off.
Supposed to be getting this phone wednesday and now im stoked about it ! Thanks man

@@abhishekbhaskar2931 the S21 Ultra is an amazing phone and you will not be paying the full price it was when it first came out I would say it's worth it
+Shane Symonds I got the chance to see the Galaxy S21 Ultra and It's a very nice phone. The only thing that is holding me back from getting either this phone, or the upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra is, my Galaxy Z Fold2, or the Galaxy Z Fold3.
One thing that I don’t like about this phone is that it doesn’t have a jack headphone jack
Absolutely. That and they took away the sd card slot.
Bluetooth has taken over the needed for a headphones jack.
@@GrowingUpWithTheMacks Partially, not completely. Someone us still prefer headphone jacks.
Well that sucks. Booooo
It's actually a good phone, I think it's a good phone for a good price.
I wish there would come a time that I will have all the brand new phones just laying down on my table 😭😅😂😂😂
Hey! What issues are you facing with it?
I do not like the non replaceable battery.
That means that once a given battery begins degrading one is left no other option than a full replacement of the device.
Nice overview I still prefer the Note 20ultra as I prefer the S pen functionality etc, but I can understand the appeals of the S21ultra.
Only gripe for me on the Note 20U is accidental touches but a case or settings solve that pretty easily
@@ShaneSymonds Yes totally agree.

I got mine on a payment plan and I can upgrade to a different phone whenever
Just got the S21 ultra today, upgraded from the Note 9... Nice phone but I miss my note 9 already. One of the best phones samsung has ever made.
Amazon now has it at $ 1,500.00. Ouch! Good video report.

Try the Note 20 Ultra?
Id say the battery gets more to 7-8 hours screen on time. From your battery usage it was 6 hours of youtube and youtube is very optimized on the latest samsungs, they hardly drain any battery compared to constanty texting/snapchat and a few other apps. So id say its actually less depending what you are doing as some apps drain battery much faster than others
I'm totally confused by your comment what do you mean it gets 7-8 hours screen on time?
@@dignifiedblackman4742 the amount of time that the screen is actually on.
Im considering this one as an upgrade from my S7. When to store last weekend to buy it, but seller scared me about how easy do the front and back screens break and how expensive they are to fix. So will consider for some more time 🙄
This is hands down the best phone Samsung has ever made. So happy with my purchase. Normally I'm ready to upgrade after a year, but this time, im willing to wait 2 years (contract) for the next iteration. Great job Samsung.
