Impressive. I would only add some chorus - Chuck has used it. Well the biggest difference is that on original track it have more like... air? Idk how to say that. Maybe it's case of a bit more reverb, you have more like sound wall. Today it's 22 years without him. It's a big pity
It's almost perfect, something to add is that in the palm mute part, it sounds very punchy, maybe removing some of the mids would help; or also lowering the drive, but very minimally; otherwise, excellent work!
omfg. i am know almost nothing about death, but gosh this tone is KILLING. it feels so harsh and aggressive yet every note is very distinct. youre killing it, mate, amazing! and as a footnote: id like to know what guitar did you use
The Spirit Crusher tone was a lot closer. This is too American high gainish. It doesn't have that dry bite of the Valvestate 800 that Chuck used. Can you try to approach the tone on Control Denied's 'The Fragile Art of Existence'?
thanks mate, this was my first time trying to match death's tone so i used any marshall'ish amp sim, maybe i can try some control denied songs, I didn't hear much control denied but from what I've heard it has an pretty late 90s death tone, chuck probably used the same rig that he used on sound of perseverance
I use a plugin called denoiser classic from bertom (it is free) before my amp sim, I use practically the same settings that Bryce Barilla uses in his Ride Lightning tone tutorial video, this helps me a lot, without this plugin my tones would sound like shit
@@talkinho121 seriously? It's a vst that can duplicate the eq of any sample you put into it and give you the exact same sound. It's very old tech at this point, it's the basis of modelling amps. Get one and the vst and you can literally make your guitar sound like any recording you drop into it to sample. The cloner will give you the exact eq'ing used and even applying it to a hardware amp is basic as long as you read the amp manual and know the eq points.
@@talkinho121 also there's literally thousands of videos of people using the 8100 and copying the sound very easily. It's really just the amps regular sound.
I don't remember exactly but if you're not using a Marshall valvestate or an amp sim with this IR it's kind of hard to get that sound, but death has a scooped sound so turn the mids a little, but not too much
This sounds spot on dude
This tone is beautiful

Less attack is what you’re trying to say?
@@lordsofchaos2443 not exacly but actually now I paid attention that his have more attack than original. But it can be just case of mix and mastering
@@zapiexa4947 mb do you mean compressor?
Amazing, maybe a little too chunchy but great
Sounds so nice man, great job. Playing sounds hella tight as well, real satisfying layers 🤩
This noodling sounds better than I do after 15 years of practice

Marahall 8100 kids.
The valvestate 8100 is a death metal machine, i would love to have this amp

Try putting just a touch of chorus after your boost pedal. Sounds great though.
T.T beautiful

Not sure how itd soind in a mix but sounds like ~10k hz or above is too fizzy . Might be wrong tho. All depends how it sounds in a mix
You asshat listening to it in TH-cam is beyond stupid, the compression ruins ALL audio 😂😂😂

can you give us the preset?
Just wondering what gate you used since I find the free noise gate stomp in AT5 to be very underwhelming.
I dont remember if I used the reaper noise gate or the amplitube noise gate, but sometimes I use the amplitube free noise gate and it works for me
do you have the amplitude link??!!😢
