I really like how precise this Chun-Ali’s normal attacks are. Even if you block she can find all sorts of ways to get you on the next attack. And all she needs is a hit confirm to send you to pound town.
I think the armor is only active during the first half of the frames, when i use EX Tensho as soon as the opponnent uses DI the kicks hit the armor, when i do it a few moments after the DI starts my move always beats it
Perfect parries don’t actually stop a move in progress, they just let you act immediately after getting them and prevent your opponent from cancelling the parried move into something else. 2H, the move that was perfect parried, is a two hit attack with a 5 frame gap between the hits. Given that perfect parries have 1f of recovery, perfect parrying the first hit of 2H lets you at best reversal or trade with a 1f move if you’re frame perfect - anything else and you’ll eat a counter hit
I think it’s probably a mental stack thing. At this level the players are thinking so intensely about footies, meter, meaties, grabs, mixups etc that they aren’t prepared for DI

Once DI is active the armor is gone. Any strike invuln move will beat a meaty DI

Its funny how when ppl hit master they lose ability to react to DI. As if this "risky and reactable" option magically stopped being part of the game
