Something worth pointing out is that special cancellable normals out of stance negate needing to charge, so all of those fancy stance combos you can just go into SBK with a simple down up input. Other than that, SBK also has the fastest charge time in the game at 30F, whereas most other moves like flash kick and jack knife are 45F. Chun was the first charge character I ever picked up, and there were moments that were definitely awkward to adjust to, but once you get used to it, it becomes muscle memory
As a SF vet since number 2 every bit of advice from another player does nothing...but help!!!! Most people don't pay attention to the i-frames (did i say that right?) but its one of the most crucial things to look for when training. I support ya man
You can also cancel LK Lightning Legs into level 3, but the timing is just more strict bc you need to cancel before the 3rd hit comes out so it has to be very quick. I think there’s a lot of good instructional info in this video, but it sacrifices a lot of clarity in favor of being more concise. For example, if you want to mention that sHK can be used for an anti air, I think it’s important to explain that it’s a difficult, risky option in exchange for VERY high reward since you can combo after. Little details like this can be very confusing to a new Chun player.
Thank you for this easy to understand video, I will practice the crap out of the things you talked about and see where it gets me. I started fighting games last year on third strike with chun li. Since then i've only played Marisa and Cammy in SF6 so far, but I'm excited to learn Chun finally in SF6.
Short and helpful! Super overwhelmed as I’ve barely played fighting games and am just starting SF6. Maybe someday I’ll actually land one of these outside of training mode 😅 (ps: Small error on the notation of the final combo 9:20 -should be backHP after the forwardHK)
Thanks, was looking to learn chun li and this was a thorough enough that i have the basic idea and gameplan for her now. Ps had to drop a Like and sub for the Tsuna in background :)
Any recommended on cancel bc back heavy punch into stance? Sheesh that is a tough one for me. Just got to plat 1 as her and I want to begin incorporating stance combos.
On regular hit I would cancel back heavy punch into stance light kick, and then convert into medium spinning bird. And in punish counter you can confirm back heavy punch into stance medium kick and then medium spinning bird kick
@@UltraSnance thanks for the answer. i am really new to sf6 and i was decided to go with her. Hearing this is even better. Hope the big update wont change her being best modern controlled character tho.
@UltraSnance thanks man subscribed for more contents with her 🙏 and if you play modern controls with her i wanna see that kind of a video too, but i dont expect it, so no worries.
Chun Li is always a character I want to play for Neutral reasons but I can never wrap my head around charge combos
I’ll have to make a video about that

Her charge combos are the easiest part about her. Her stance is what is scary
Always appreciate a guide that’s not giving me 1000 combos

@@SolunaEP appreciate goat, happy to hear you enjoyed it
i was hoping this would just start with "Don't." and then transition into a ranked grind for the remaining runtime
lol that’s genius, I’ll have to do that for the Honda video

Think you can do one for Ken in the future? Juri is my queen, but I'd like to get better with him too.
Yeah man I got tou
Nice video man keep it up with them…more chun li players will be coming 😎
Amazing video bro
@@azizkash286 thanks bro
Vid looks great. I am a bit of a gold level noob but some of these combos look really good so,should add them to my arsenal!
Thanks

i didnt get out of gold with her, was thinking of dropping her but might wanna give her another chance
I can help if you’d like, I got a discord link in the video. I’ve been teaching some other chuns as well.
I think increase to 15 minutes and add a section about supers and maybe common mistakes. Good video
Appreciate it, I’ll do a follow up for sure
you think her good with modern controls? classic is just too hard to learn for me now at least
Yes actually she is the best modern controlled character in my opinion.

@@UltraSnance and one last question for now is the mix-up video you made still fine with me right even if i use modern controls?
Lily Clears tbh. But good video tho
