Worst Parts + Hoods In Sarasota? Florida

  • YES! Of course they got hoods!!! But, they look safe to me. Everyone was friendly, did not seam like a dangerous place. usually if you mind your own business nobody will bother you. The look like any other hood in Miami, but they feel safe. The area seams to have enough work to keep poverty at a minimal. Sadly other parts of Florida don't offer the same possibilities as Sarasota to all its residents. From these hoods, you can ride a bike downtown and get a job that's a luxury some parts of Florida don't have.

I'm from there, and was just there last week, it' still feels safe and it's still beautiful, in a world where crime is so high you gotta watch your back 24/7, it's a relief to not have to do that in my hometown, I'm actually proud to be from Newtown. We got so......many people moving there, I hope they come in peace, or don't come. And those projects you showed, have you seen that area recently, omg, those projects are not there, they built condos there and they are beautiful. Let's hear it for Newtown Sarasota!

As a former Sarasotan & Detroiter, I see what you mean here is "This is where the blacks live."
There isn't really anything "hood" about Newtown. Buildings don't make a hood. People make a hood. And the people I knew that lived in Newtown were far from hood. Mostly just petty crimes in a heavily policed area is all that is. I guarantee there's bigger crimes happening behind the doors on the bay front and the keys...

They got hoods but NOT DANGEROUS? April 13, 1992: I'm going to University of South Florida Sarasota, driving a Yellow Cab. 13-year-old wanna be gang banger Tarell Reaves shot and killed the driver in rotation in front of me for less than $100. Where? On the corner of 35th and Goodrich in Newtown. Then there was the time those two young tourists (James Cooper, 25, and James Kouzaris, 24) from the UK got lost walking, trying to find their way back to their hotel, lost in Newtown, both robbed and murdered with shots to the head ... in Newtown. Here's a headline from Sarasota Herald-Tribune April 12, 2019: "Sarasota Police increase patrols after spike in shootings." Where? In Newtown. FBI crime statistics report that 43% of all armed robberies in Sarasota occur in Newtown. Including Newtown, Sarasota is one on the most dangerous cities in Florida. Not including Newtown, Sarasota is one of the safest (NeighborhoodScout). Yes they got hoods , but NOT DANGEROUS ??? Here's an idea: Try driving the same streets at night that you drive in your video and let's see if you will make the same statement.

Hello Pete. Our intention is NOT to offend anyone. However if you decide to feel offended, that's your personal choice independent from my work. The reason I went to this community is because the people THERE requested I VISIT their community for my videos. I had NO IDEA Sarasota had hoods, I found out thru my subscribers who LIVE there and find it a batch of honor for me to acknowledge their hood by making a video for it. At no moment was this video intended to offend anyone. Imagine someone who grew up here, and now lives far away and they MISS their home but cannot visit anymore, this video would be something very nice for them would you not agree? Another subscriber who watched from a state prison, asked me to record his old hood because he wont be able to see it again for many years and its been many already for him seeing those streets was very meaningful. So, maybe you just need to expand your thinking. You know not everyone is out to get you. Not everyone you label with the R really is. You need to stop this behavior there are FEW people OUTSIDE of your community willing to do what I DO. So, your actually stepping on the toes of someone who is trying to EDUCATED people and HELP them change their backwards mindsets. I am doing an important work for the people of this community but your too narrow minded to see the full implications of my work.

Florida is quick to clean up stuff like gang tags and graffiti. Especially in SW Florida. That’s why it may look like just another low income, working class neighborhood but the people that live there is what makes it ghetto. The lawns are well kept and no cars on blocks in the yard because the county will not allow it. They’ll come cut your grass if you don’t and send you a bill. That’s what a lot of people don’t understand.

The person who filmed this obviously was looking to give a bad name to the area. The US has "hoods" with all races across the country. He kept pointing out "look, look at this"? I didn't see anything!! Other than a community, that probably would have flourished very well over the years, had it not been for redlining. I'd also like to point out Mr. Florida Hood VLogs, Fruitville Road and Lockwood Ridge Road has a "hood" environment as well, a lot of poor white folks. Now let me add to this, just because people are poor, that does not mean they are bad or hood. It just means they are poor. And your pointing that out, is not only sad, but pathetic. Tell me, what was your motive in sharing that video? What was the value in that video? Just because some idiot plugged it as hood, doesn't make it so. Newtown is one of the oldest black communities in Florida. Along with Rosewood that got burned down by jealous angry whites as they watched a thriving educated black community. Most families Newtown have know each other for generations. Our community was self sufficient, had to be, because we weren't allowed access to Sarasota. We had black owned stores, doctors, dentists, gas station and so much more! All owned by blacks. You mentioned, "be mad at people doing shootings!" Did you see someone shooting, or is that what you heard or assumed? If you didn't see it, then you are simply promoting propaganda. And what harm did you see in Newtown? Seems to me you drove around and no one bothered you. I saw a kid in your video on a scooter, so where was the harm? I feel more threatened at Siesta key, that's a hood too!!! So sir, it would behoove you to really get to know a place before you slander it. Please educate yourself and travel. Our little neighborhood has nothing on some larger cities, which tells me you really haven't traveled much.

Naples FL ships the homeless out on busses. To make it a problem elsewhere. Homeless in Sarasota come in waves. Like the trail of tears, too spiritual in belief for modernist idealisms. I call them weak minded souls dancing on the backs of green backs. A different approach to slavery. A different story of oppression and deceit in humanity and what the holy wars are all about coming to a theater near you. Worldwide mass destruction. Cataclysmic consequences are as written in the good books. Florida broke off Africa right near the eye of Mauritania. It was a consequence. The moon has struck the earth before and then again they are shooting rockets at her. Static orbit means perfect balance. We loose another moon we die.

I live in "the hood" and there is nothing normal or working class about the kind of people who live here. I almost got killed by a member of an organized crime syndicate because I was sitting in my car while he was walking out of a buisness he was collecting a payment from. He thought I was staking him out but all I was doing was eating McDonalds. When I first moved into my neighborhood a DEA SWAT team showed up at my neighbors house and arrested him. Earlier this week somebody was magdumping a handgun in my neighborhood at 8:00 am.

Sarasota used to be cool when they had the Fly bar. Memories was the main gem of this area too that still stands. But most of Sarasota is shitty.South Sarasota, the whiter low to middle class area also isnt too good. It looks like the Alternate 1985. This also does in Newtown in its own way so its safe to say that Sarasota is starting to look like a doomsday scenario type place, even worse than some places in TX or Cali.

Yo man I know you have done the west palm area also The towns by the lake also in western Palm Beach County. But maybe You can try some other small cities in Palm Beach County. I personally live in Boynton Beach Florida and just showing the difference between East and West 95 I want the viewers to see how segregated And help people who live east of 95 anywhere before Dixie they are living in straight poverty and it’s very sad but it’s not as bad as 20 years ago but it’s still gangland for a half mile once you pass over 95. People live in fear. Look up cherry hill mini mart and look how many people I’ve been shot there in the past year the numbers will scare you not everybody died but the fact that over 50 people were shot there since 2019 is a scary number and this is an every night thing this is nothing new to people who live east of 95 in Boynton Beach it’s a different world honestly then when you go into western Boynton. Also off Atlantic Ave the streets off of it with all the prostitutes drugs gangs just literally little Haiti In this small little town called Delray Beach right next to the rich and famous boca Raton. But if you live east of 95 in Delray doesn’t matter if you live 2 miles 1 mile away you’re in the projects you’re in the hood Delray Beach is one of the most segregated towns I’ve ever seen and it’s sickening. Everywhere east of 95 I consider low income poverty mostly Haitian some parts of Congress ave but not really. And a few select neighborhoods on Lake ida near military other than that it’s all white. A lot of elderly also on delray hahah obviously. But I’m gonna leave off on that just wanted to put my two cents in I’m sure you know about Boynton Beach in Delray Beach but if you’re able to put it on the map to the viewers and see I would be deeply appreciated for them to see what I have to deal with and everyone else who lives here who doesn’t get to see the other side of the Bridge a.k.a. 95. Thank you for letting me write to you I watch all your videos man keep up the great work brother 💯💯🔥🔥
