Pay vs Cost of living. That's everywhere. I have packed up a souvenir my grandparents brought back from Sarasota, Florida, in the 1960's. It's a metal base, with a muscle man, wrestling an Alligator. Stamped ito the base, it says Made in U S.A. If you go buy something at a souvenir shop today, what I have would be made of cheap plastic and made in China. Lack of resources and jobs that pay a living wage. Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter it's all theater with them because they're all bought by major corporations. They're the ones with all the money, and they run things, IMO. You're doing a great job.
Good video even with your GoPro issues. Wife and I moved to Lakewood Ranch just outside Sarasota and Bradenton back in March from metro Atlanta and we absolutely love it. We've seen some of the poorer neighborhoods driving around and it's like any other metro area. There will always be poor areas where crime and drug abuse are increased. I can see being homeless here is better from a weather standpoint than further north though. No real danger of freezing to death here, but you are right about most places in Florida. If one is not making a certain income, it's difficult to live here. In my case, I got a $1000 per month raise just from not having a state income tax and we are paying about $500 per month more for our house here than we did back in Buford, Ga, so it's been a little boost for us so far. Homeowners insurance is much higher here as well, but we think it's worth it to live here. Loving the water, restaurants and beaches here so far and our son moved to Cape Coral in April 2022 so we are much closer to him now, which is the primary reason we moved down here. Keep up the good work! Enjoy your videos!
In my opinion it should cost more to live in FL than it does Newark DE which is becoming a Philly transplant shithole but it's about the same. Maybe a little more on groceries and gas since you're driving longer distances and snowbird season and all that. But then again it evens out due to home prices. Florida is MUCH more beautiful than DE as a whole. And I hate the cold so I'm a little biased but I also hate spiders so based on that my opinion is pretty balanced lol.

Thank you for always loving us 😊
That's real Sarasota, I did that with car keys one time, I was surprised the key fob still worked .
where do you think the people who work in the hotels and restaurants live? it aint in the gated communities.
The Dodge Charger is a very commonly repossessed car.
