The Mysteries That Surround The Pyramids & Ancient Egyptians | Ancient History

  • For more than 4500 years, the pyramids of Egypt have stood as wonders of the world. When studying the Pyramids, the facts are truly astonishing with the Great Pyramid alone weighing almost six million tons and containing over 2.3 million stone blocks. This documentary looks at the great mysteries of how they are still around, who built them, how were they built, why were they built and what secrets still lie inside their stones?
    Professional engineer Denys Stocks teaches us the art of Pyramid building. He's spent twenty years mastering the techniques that were used by the ancient workmen and shows how such vast quantities of stone were quarried, transported and fitted by a civilisation that had not even invented the wheel.
    Other professionals like Zahi Hawass take us on tours of the tombs inside the Pyramids and Mark Lehner who discovered where the pyramid builders lived.

    You need an incredible imagination to believe this nonsense. They had technology and methods so far undiscovered. The accepted version deserves ridicule. Design was the easy part. If anyone cuts out just a typical stone from a quarry and moves it to the Gisa plateau without steel tools or heavy equipment, I might start to take these people seriously. No one who actually does construction takes this silliness as feasible.

      In the next fifty years,if there is still a civilization interested in truth in existence,there will be a radical rewrite of history books. Civilization has already been pushed back twice as far in the past as the proffered age of the pyramids. And technology is just now really coming to bear on archeology and statistics on genetics. How does one explain how they did the inside of the pyramids? I mean they had stones so heavy, so perfect, that they did not come from any local area, placed inside perfectly lined wall stones. They were so heavy these rectangle cut stones that it would take over 200 men to move them inside and placed into a tight small room while the space is so tight, dark and stale. That is what really stumps everyone.

    That's not science, naked or otherwise. What would be more scientific would be to model the workforce required for such a feat and the agricultural surplus required to support it, and then show the evidence for such production. The numbers would surely be in the millions for 18 pyramids, so dwellings and graves should be extensive and easily-found.

It was a tree so they used the part that they didn't need to make fire. The Pyramid have been in the desert for a very long time so it became a Stone. Whatever in the desert will become desert

    So how do uou cut those tons of granites inside the kings chamber so perfectly that you cannot slip a piece of paper between the gaps. And could you imagine how heavy some of those stones were, some of them weighted a thousand or more tons, how on earth would the Egyptians lift those stones 300 to 400 feet above the ground?

    • @MultiRationalThinker
      @MultiRationalThinker 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, NONE of those blocks weighed anywhere near a thousand tons. That's just complete bullshit. As for this nonsense about not being able to slip a piece of paper/credit card/ knife blade between the blocks, so what? Stack two ordinary house bricks one on top of the other and you can't slip a piece of paper between them either. All it indicates is that they smoothed off the surfaces which, even with the relatively few blocks that were granite, requires nothing more than sand and a rock.

    This guy with his theories on how the Pyramids were built, essentially debunks his own theories as he is explaining them.
    I'm not sure he truly grasps what he is saying: "They used a copper saw and sand to cut granite "
    That would take 2 people 6 months to cut a 30inch cube of granite, if that method even works, which I doubt!
    And surely the copper saw would wear out quicker than cutting through the granite? For ever 1inch off granite you would probably go through 2 copper saws. It makes no sense.
    We have to use diamond cutting blades to put a dent into granite and this chap is saying they using copper SMH.
    And what about the precision curved granite found in Egypt? I guess they used copper sandpaper.

      By all means = look at them - rather than *ASSUMING* based upon mischaracterizations spewed via the internet and entertainment television. For myself I see what are basically "stacked rocks" in a pyramidal shape.
      Yes in some instances they took the time to be more "precise" - such as say laying out their foundations. Most of the volume of the pyramids however are anything but precise while their blocks are crudely formed and often placed leaving gaps all over.
      Conclusion: your "precision" = is more myth than reality.

    A bit of simple math. Egyptologist are telling us that the great pyramid was made of 2.3 million stones weighting from 2 to 70 tons and that constructions was completed in 17 years under the reign of Pharos Khufu.
    Let’s assume they work every day 8 hours a day
    Now comes math:
    2.3 mil stones/17 years/365 days/8 hours=46 stones per hour
    Very busy construction site. And all that while bringing stones from 500 miles distant mines, carving them with wooden mallet and copper chisel and dragging them on wooden sleigh up some ramp.
    They must have been tripping over each other

    • @Leeside999
      @Leeside999 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Khufus reign was closer to 30 years, not 17.
      And the majority of the limestone blocks were split from the bedrock rather than individually carved. Only the precise work was done on the outer casing stones and internal chambers.
