You skipped the part that I needed to view. I need to safely take apart and put back together my RX 1700 . I need to clean it out before I will attempt to turn it on. I made an oopsie and was thinking when I was showing a friend how I can heat up my contents into a sauce or soup.... without me remembering that I'm supposed to used the vented lid! You can imagine what happened after that. Anyways, I caught it fast and shut it down, but I know it went thru and came out the bottom. I've taken off bottom and cleaned that,. It was messy. I got nervous about going any further without knowing what I was unscrewing. Please Help!
You started with the drive gear already free from the shaft, but do not explain how to remove the screw without disassembly of the entire machine? Seems like you omitted the hardest part.
Hi Mr. F. Appreciate the reply! I was able to remove the drive gear with a little muscle and a whole lot of care not to strip the phillips-head screw. VERY important to know that the fine thread screw is a reverse thread. Remove it by screwing clockwise, not counter-clockwise! A replacement gear ran under $7.00 (I bought two), and I was back in business. Thanks!

How much did it last before you had to replace it?
It does last very long. It's all depends on if it abuse then it wouldn't last long maybe a year when it abuse.
