The fact it is gloss out of the can is amazing compared to plastidip. I would have popped out the headlight rings. It only takes a few seconds to pop them out and unless you rip them out you don't have to worry about breaking them, plus could have gotten better coverage and probably wouldn't have to touch it up. Great mini review tho, definitely going to start using this stuff for color testing.
Yea im really impressed with this product. I think im going to go back and remove the rings. I think i was just nervous about breaking tabs lol. Thanks for watching man!
Weak point of Autodip is it will eat the paint off of things that dont have clear coat on them. So if you have a matte finish wheel it will eat that paint off. Just happened to a guy I know
Suggestion, you may lightly sand of the bubble and spray 1 or 2 new layer and it should look like new. You can also use solvent to remove the bubble and respray.
Man I wish I’d seen this yesterday I just got black plasti dip and the glossier on amazon yesterday. I get my Mini Cooper tomorrow and I wanted to black out all the chrome trim and grill Sunday to match the glossy black wheels that it’s coming with and to low key show it off at work already customized to some extent to floss at work and to floss in front of my family on July 4th. Having the gloss already built in would save me so much more time and effort... gotta figure out how to paint, change the front, interior and tail light bulbs to led and how to put down a light smoked vinyl on the headlights and find a iridescent blue film to go over the fog lights and make it all look like I had it professionally done.
Awesome bro. Thanks for subscribing to the channel we like to have fun here. Sounds like you got it planned out lol! Check out my website I have the Autodip listed on there :)
0:29 - you calm down! It’s a comfy rock! Lmao! Bruh, your vids are always on point. I don’t know if this was made before or after you had your mirror caps painted chili red, but, how is that holding up? You have me so wanting to pull the trigger on getting mine painted.
Love the channel man. Your content quality has improved tremendously. I have a 2012 R56 Bayswater edition, wondering if it would look good de-chromed. Friend of mine told me the chrome looks good but I'm leaning towards blackout. Any thoughts? Anyone?
Thanks man!! I think the Black out really just depends on the color of your car. Some cars can pull off the chrome look though. What color is your mini?
The Bayswater edition comes with a unique "Kite Blue" kinda like a baby blue unique stripes on the hood and side mirrors. Black top and black wheels. Want to get the windows tinted. If you've got the time look one up. 2012 MCS Bayswater edition. Didn't know they were a thing til I saw this one and just had to have it. Props to you for replying . I appreciate the feedback.
What mileage is the mini and what's the reliability on it? I really want to buy a R56 Mini Cooper S as my first car but I am concerned about the reliability.
Arthur King my car has about 82k miles on it. I would do your very best to purchase one with a good service history to perfectly honest. it would go along way or peace of mind . Can Mini coopers be reliable ? yes. Are most of the ones you pick up going to need some attention in some particular area? most defiantly. is it worth... YEP :)
I love my R56 but, as a First car... I wouldn't. Find an older junky car , a beater. BMW engines are bullet proof, all the parts around them aren't. The problems on this car can cost as much as the car is worth sometimes unless you are willing to work on them yourself. If you want something fun and cheap enough to fix when it breaks down, a 90s honda is great to learn how to have fun in.
That's not really an option for me. I live in Romania and we don't really have hondas here so parts are very expensive. All we have here are VW, Opel, Skoda, Bmw, Audi, basically german cars. I was thinking now that I should get a mk5 GTI(mint examples for under 6000 euros in germany). A friend of mine can import one for 300 euros. Is it a good choice or do you have a better one? It must be german because parts are very cheap in my country and the car scene is used to modifying them.
Luke Stogden honestly I would first recommend you do a walnut blast and an oil catch can setup. Since these cars built up quite a bit of carbon in the intake tracks you can free up a lot of lost horsepower just buy having the service done. I'll be doing a video soon covering the service so stay tuned. And thanks for watching!
Luke Stogden if you have an N18 you wont have as bad of carbon build up. The fuel pumps are also revised and better. 2013 was the strongest N18 they did with the last revisions for the fuel pump and timing chain tensioner. I'm making 265whp and 330tq out of my R55 on a bigger turbo, bolt ons and tune
Does anyone have a problem with plasti dip drying just sprayed my chrome rimes round my lights and have waited age's for them to dry that are tackle not smooth.have I done something wrong.😎😇.

love the vid mate what size are your wheels iv just bought a mini r56 but i want to change the wheels thanx.
The Mini is back! Yay! How does auto dip flop? Is there a smooth glassy finish like paint or is it just like plasti dip in that regard?
:P. the finish is Glossy like glass right of the can !
Bimmer Dude,
Sweet! I've been wanting to black out my headlight, taillight trim, and side sconces. Thanks for the info man!
The T100 beat the T1000. lol. love this channel. thanks, Dude!
Michael Cohen hahah I guess your right he did win.. But not before a few serious beat downs LOL
Plasti dip lasts better with more coats also
Shoudve taken the trim piece off
Gonna check them out, thinking of doing the black trim around my r56, also are you running spacers? If so what size?
Glad I could help give you the final push! Im running a 5mm spacer up front only. wheels are 17x7et 40 with 215/45's
Why did you say not to pop it out? It's super easy and gives better results.
Bryson Hicks because the first tab I popped off broke instantly lol
Would've been easier/faster if you removed the trim.

Also, I’m loving the sponge spike at 4:15
No more Mini vids?
It takes 10 seconds to get the trim off
I like the gloss! Will try this on my wife's mini too. Does the paint lay down smooth?
It lays down exactly like paint. its even thin like paint as well

Looks great and love the channel too but in hindsight FYI those trim rings pop off very easily to save time with all the masking for overspray.

If you want a reliable Mini get a 2011 or newer.
Btw it's t800 and t1000.
Please lower volume of filler music. All in all very good content :>)
What would you recommend as the first mods to do to an r56 mcs? And is yours the n14 or the n18?

also get rid of run flats if your car still has them.
Michael Cohen agreed, I've had my r55s for about a month I hate those n can't wait to replace them. What do u recommend for 300-400 for the set??
sfvirgo just put some BF Goodrich G-force KDWs on mine. Performance is amazing as well as ride. Also minimal tire noise.

Get some after market wheels on the mini
These the are aftermarket wheels lol!
Bimmer Dude lol not hating but they look like the stock wheels that came with my mini lol
Esnesio no offense taken hahah. I'll be putting some wheels on the link in the very near future
Bimmer Dude oh okay great videos
Hey bro I want to paint my wheels n my e36 a glossy color what paint do you recommend?
it all depends on the color of your car? Black is always a safe bet though
