Earth is one of those things that had a lot of potential but needs the foundations completely reworked, so a sequel building on the same foundations just won't work. Earth: Revengence might have promise tho, as a remaster.

It's seriously the problem with every company that has a Discord, most companies keep their Discord mods in the complete dark. The users assume mods have insider knowledge, but all the company wants the mods to do is clean up dissension. So even if you ask a mod is this going to happen the mod will say whatever they want because they have no idea.
Having a Discord isn't the issue. The usual corporate greed coupled with "old guy pushing buttons" method of "connecting with younger consumers" is the issue. They treat the Discord the same as any other PR avenue: if it produces positive numbers they're happy, if it doesn't they're unhappy, but regardless of the outcome they will never devote any real resources to it. They don't respect socials, they just exploit them. Once you realize this you have a much more fun time while trolling overbearing asshats in E2 and other fraudulent game Discords. "But trolling does nothing positive." Please point to the angle of attack that HAS done anything positive in this scam. Interviews? Almost entirely turned down until this. Government antifraud agencies? Don't care. At every turn, anyone that should have fixed this has refused. It's been years. At this point, they're lucky it's just trolling a Discord or comments section on an E2 investor (read: sycophant) rather than hacking their systems to infodump all their secrets. I guarantee, as cheap as they are on every other aspect of this venture, that their security is lax. Terrain popping is a hard, but in competently written programs almost eliminated or very well mitigated problem (e.g. in flight simulators where getting low and going at very high speed happens routinely). Lower graphics card performance is no defense, stepping down the terrain fidelity has standard solutions.

One of the original concepts for Warframe's Railjack/Empyrean/Space Battle system was to put together the open world areas and the space battles aspects in order to involve multiple systems and groups into the scenario. It flopped due to interaction. If you can't get gamers in the same game to cooperate with the same goals in mind for rewards, then how do they expect a shooter and RTS group to do the same?
The fact that Shane, an Australian Citizen, is operating what is basically an investment platform that isn't secured would be raising red flags with ASIC, (Australian Securities and Investment Commission) one of the strictest government agencies to take on unsecured investments. Obviously no one would know if anything has been said to Shane that maybe they need to actually release something, but after silence for this long then taking on questions just feels like they are pointing out "see, we are delivering on what we promised." Which neglects everything that this "game" was even meant to be in the first place, a seemingly closed system that if it had just generated in-game currency that could be used in the game and not withdrawn would have been legal. I do also believe that our government has just implemented stricter banking policies that our banks can no longer facilitate transactions to and from "gambling" companies, but I'm not 100% positive on that one.
See, their strategy is brilliant. They're waiting for the next (or next+1 or +2 .or ok maybe +42 generations from now..) AI to help them build the game so that it can be created on the fly as people interact with it. So a guy saying 'It'll be hippie stoner cowboys fighting zombies on surfboards" and another saying "It'll be raid shadow legends but like Ark with Destiny 2 architecture" will both be right. It'll be both games at the same time, thanks to AI. So if I think it's going to be like 4-dimensional minesweeper + Sudoku, with the right AI tools behind it, when I log in, I'll be playing 4 dimensional minesweeper-sudoku. You can be right next to me with your bong-powered plasma rifle killing zombies on surfboards. We'll be playing the *same game* but having a completely different experience. And we'll all be making life-changing money with their AI-powered 11-dimensional hyperponzi pyramid. And we all know there are no paradoxes in 11 dimensions. The main problem with web3 "games" is the fact they basically sell steam URLs so somebody has to buy the URL back in Form of rent to put a game on it AND the gamers having to pay rent to for playing the game. Meanwhile, in the real world, the number of game stores and launchers has exploded over the last years. Very sustainable business model /s
I have no stake in this game, but I have to say upon visiting the website for the first time, the idea that they put "I want to explore E2V1" as a selling point when the game itself is touted as a 1:1 recreation of the planet we're already on, except without commerce or industry or art, I have to wonder what exactly one would explore?
Regarding skins, they are indeed releasing WAY early (prior to E2V1 3D launch) and all are released as limited edition so they could later be sold for a lot more than we paid for them. I think most buyers of skins understand that there is a "risk" of the game not releasing or being a flop with no one playing, and therefore no one wanting to buy their limited edition skins. Most E2 users believe in the project though, and are willing to take the small risk.

My understanding of the E2 vision is a place where people can build anything on their land and hang out with others, explore, etc. similar to minecraft but with better graphics. Also a gaming hub similar to roblox where the "lobby" is different people's land. We'll have the ability to create things and sell them, advertise, sell buildings, rent, etc. I understand that there are separate existing games that have these elements individually and even with better graphics, so I understand the skepticism, and I don't fault anyone for predicting that E2 will amount to nothing. I like the element of E2 being a replica of the earth and there will be geolocational AR incorporation where you could go to your land in real life and see it in AR. All of this will of course be a long way off.

One of the original concepts for Warframe's Railjack/Empyrean/Space Battle system was to put together the open world areas and the space battles aspects in order to involve multiple systems and groups into the scenario. It flopped due to interaction. If you can't get gamers in the same game to cooperate with the same goals in mind for rewards, then how do they expect a shooter and RTS group to do the same?

The fact that Shane, an Australian Citizen, is operating what is basically an investment platform that isn't secured would be raising red flags with ASIC, (Australian Securities and Investment Commission) one of the strictest government agencies to take on unsecured investments.
Obviously no one would know if anything has been said to Shane that maybe they need to actually release something, but after silence for this long then taking on questions just feels like they are pointing out "see, we are delivering on what we promised." Which neglects everything that this "game" was even meant to be in the first place, a seemingly closed system that if it had just generated in-game currency that could be used in the game and not withdrawn would have been legal.
I do also believe that our government has just implemented stricter banking policies that our banks can no longer facilitate transactions to and from "gambling" companies, but I'm not 100% positive on that one.
See, their strategy is brilliant. They're waiting for the next (or next+1 or +2 .or ok maybe +42 generations from now..) AI to help them build the game so that it can be created on the fly as people interact with it.
So a guy saying 'It'll be hippie stoner cowboys fighting zombies on surfboards" and another saying "It'll be raid shadow legends but like Ark with Destiny 2 architecture" will both be right. It'll be both games at the same time, thanks to AI.
So if I think it's going to be like 4-dimensional minesweeper + Sudoku, with the right AI tools behind it, when I log in, I'll be playing 4 dimensional minesweeper-sudoku. You can be right next to me with your bong-powered plasma rifle killing zombies on surfboards. We'll be playing the *same game* but having a completely different experience. And we'll all be making life-changing money with their AI-powered 11-dimensional hyperponzi pyramid.
And we all know there are no paradoxes in 11 dimensions. Everything works -- including ponzis that make everyone rich -- in 11 dimensions.

Dont worry I'm sure all the issues will be resolved in another 6 months when they form a steering committee to table a draft resolution on amending Earth 2 version 1 to address 'investor concerns' within the next year (nothing of importance will be resolved), all the while accepting payments and retaining their cushy made up jobs. E2 is such an interesting spectacle to watch from a distance. It still confuses me each time as to what the ”game” is trying to be.
E2 wants to be the crypto version of StarCitzen. Forever grabbing money while making puzzle peices experiences or features with a vague promise that it will eventually all fit together in the future to form an undefined shape.
except Star Citizen has tons of updates in lore etc and even shows off stuff. Plus they have actual devs. Admittly they should have done one game instead of trying to tie in what is it five different games together. Come out with the fps or space fighter than do the mmo.

The main problem with web3 "games" is the fact they basically sell steam URLs so somebody has to buy the URL back in Form of rent to put a game on it AND the gamers having to pay rent to for playing the game. Meanwhile, in the real world, the number of game stores and launchers has exploded over the last years. Very sustainable business model /s
Tbh if E2 just hired Callum to troubleshoot their issues they might have a working metaverse by now.

I have no stake in this game, but I have to say upon visiting the website for the first time, the idea that they put "I want to explore E2V1" as a selling point when the game itself is touted as a 1:1 recreation of the planet we're already on, except without commerce or industry or art, I have to wonder what exactly one would explore?
Regarding skins, they are indeed releasing WAY early (prior to E2V1 3D launch) and all are released as limited edition so they could later be sold for a lot more than we paid for them. I think most buyers of skins understand that there is a "risk" of the game not releasing or being a flop with no one playing, and therefore no one wanting to buy their limited edition skins. Most E2 users believe in the project though, and are willing to take the small risk.
What are they believing in?

My understanding of the E2 vision is a place where people can build anything on their land and hang out with others, explore, etc. similar to minecraft but with better graphics. Also a gaming hub similar to roblox where the "lobby" is different people's land. We'll have the ability to create things and sell them, advertise, sell buildings, rent, etc. I understand that there are separate existing games that have these elements individually and even with better graphics, so I understand the skepticism, and I don't fault anyone for predicting that E2 will amount to nothing. I like the element of E2 being a replica of the earth and there will be geolocational AR incorporation where you could go to your land in real life and see it in AR. All of this will of course be a long way off.
