two interesting things. one, if you don't consider them basic attacks, you can dimension slash the little stars in the archer boss fight and throw them back two, if you had a different skin on your first bridge boss fight, it'll show up on your second attempt
I do love all the references to Persian mythology scattered throughout the game. Will admit, half expected Alt Sargon to explode after pulling out "Arash" though.
I'm gonna be honest here, I'm halfway through the video and Lemon made the game look and sound so fun that I've now purchased it and must stop the video here to avoid spoiling the whole game. Gosh nabit

ABSOLUTLY. Especially meteroidvanias... The amount of times i ran across areas/door obviously locked behind some kind of new powerup and said to myself: "Ohh once i get im gonna go back here and see what up." only to forgett that room ever existed (or potentially even worse WHERE it was running through entire areas desperatly looking for it) is beyond count... But hells even in other games (like Elden Ring or Fallout London) where i would have loved for some way to propperly mark your map. (Fotos, notes, ANYTHING more then an nondescript marker on the map...)
Funny that I've only seen this feature in one other game before ( Signalis, a Survival Horror game where you can also take a snapshot of the room so you don't forget what's in it. ) More games REALLY need to do this, especially if it's a survival horror, a meteroidvania, or has some heavy backtracking involved, just as a time-saver.

Your storytelling never ceases to deliver. I find myself drawn closer to and more invested in the lore of the game with your added flare. Bravo, good sir.
I'm sad that Lemon didn't figure out the biggest firebomb in the game (the way to dodge the snake boss's screen nuke is to dimensional claw it and *throw it back at her!* ), but I love this game and love that you played it!

It got 60% positive reviews on Steam, everything under 70% usually means really bad. Tho I checked them and the game seems to be really good, the problem is Ubisoft Connect and some bugs with savefiles.
@@stillstrugglinbut old PoP games were also 2D action platformers? All this game did was make areas interconnected like an explor-action game. Unless you're talking about the old Ubisoft PoP.

Another Lemon video, making me want to get another game 😭 brilliant work as per usual lol no idea how much fun this game really is, but you made it look and sound like a damn good time
This video finally got me to play the game [normally], and I'm happy to report that I've just gotten it to 100% outside of the ultra hard divine trials [which are in progress currently]. Absolutely fantastic game, and even knowing the main story for hte most part, I still felt like I was experiencing it for the first time. Also something I just noticed on rewatch [spoilers]! I changed my skin later in the game, but my initial time facing vahram before being dropped off a bridge was in the base sargon outfit. When I went back in time, he was still in the basic outfit even though I had changed it, so I thought that he always used it. Nope! Past Sargon uses whatever outfit that you, the player, were wearing at the time, as proven by Lemon's past Sargon wearing the Immortal skin. God this game is awesome.
This is a game i wasnt expecting to like but it actually is really cool and well made. Love some of the mechanics, cool abilities, and the QOL stuff like minimap screenshots. The devs should feel proud of those special attack anims too
Liking and commenting for the algorithm gods. Not going to watch the video just yet since I want to complete the game first blind, but then I'll be back to watch the challenge run!
For the rift opening attack you can definitely grab large enemies that are bigger than you. One of the puzzles literally requires it. There are very few enemies you can't just take out of the fight with that move. As Lemon mentioned it also has a fun side effect that any enemy you release will temporarily be an ally, attack other enemies alongside you. Of course you can knock them out of their confused state earlier by attacking them.
I was shitting in this game since it came out. Ubi is usually asleep at the wheel. I never even bothered to watch gameplay or check reviews but god damn was I wrong. The animation looks top notch. The gameplay so fresh. Imma be playing this one soon. Thanks Lemon. You’re a fucking king
Do, do you not know what inspired PoP? The entire series was inspired by 1,001 Nights, which includes Aladdin as part of those stories. Also the original PoP was closer to Aladdin than this game is by miles.

Ubisoft have made some very bad games lately. And I feel the only way I would ever like this games
Is to watch you play it. And so I did in order to support you and your work. A man’s gotta eat 💪
Yet again you force me to buy a game. Damn you and your immaculate taste!
Nevermind. Ubisoft connect is a dealbreaker on principle. Great video though!
This game is so damn beautiful, I’ve loved the PoP series ever since I played Sands of Time as a youngin
checked this out on steam, its actually on sale until august 22, 2024 for the folks who are watching this video when it comes out. got a couple weeks to pick it up at a better price.
not really my game genre but it seems good for people who like them.
Not a bad metroidvania, but a Ubisoft game...
Thanks for the vid!
thsi is by the creators of rayman legends
@vladi3862 which is... Still Ubisoft. Their French dev branch to be exact.
Also haven't played Rayman Legends, so that tells me nothing about the game.

So a kind of like Respawn to EA.
Good to know, but still.
