You will need
2 1/2 inch PVC pipes, ten feet long.
1 1/2 inch rebar ten feet long
1 coupling for 1/2 inch PVC pipe
Primer and Cement for PVC pipe
200 Christmas lights (recommended)
Electrical tape
Hammer, Hacksaw, File, Measuring Tape
What a lovely neighbourhood that everyone joined in. Beautiful.
I love that all the neighbors have this. What a wonderful street. Thank you for sharing how to make the arches.
Thank you for the EASY to follow instructions and the AWESOME view at the end. How wonderful it is to live in a community where you all come together like this.
It’s amazing to see how your neighborhood agreed to having that. That’s amazing. Great job by the way!
Thank you!
Your neighbors and yourself did a great job.👏 It was so easy to understand how you did it 👊thanks. My spouse and I want to try next year. Hopefully all of our neighbors will get into the holiday spirit too. 😊
One of the better presentations on arches, thanks!
Yes! It looks absolutely great, so nice that neighbours are joining in with the same look!!! Very nice, thanks so much!!!
That's the video who taught me about the lighted arches and now I have 12 of them this years.
So beautiful thanks for showing how to make the arch!
Gorgeous!! Your neighborhood is lucky to have you!
Love this sweet man. He reminds me of my Grandpa. Thank you for your video.
Love it! Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Love that Christmas Arch...simple is good.. 👍 thanks
Love this! Been wanting to do this for my pathway. I’m so excited
Nice to see everyone decorate down the side walk. I'm doing an archway from the road to the front porch so UPS & FED EX will stay out of my decoartions in the front yard.
Awesome video. very informative. I have been wanting to make these for years. Thanks so much for sharing your idea.
What am absolutely fantastic video. A. Why did I never think of using rebar and PVC tubing and B. Who else wants to live in this neighbourhood? Talk about coming together. Brilliant video.
Beautiful
I love all the archways
I've been wanting to do this for years, but always too late. I'm starting early this year and your video is the inspiration. Thanks!
Me too lol
Thank you, good luck.
WoW! Nacho! Thank you! Beautiful Work!
Looks nice, thanks for sharing. I would not have glued the coupler in the middle. I would secure it with white electrical tape; this way you can take it apart after XMAS for storage.
Definitely going to do a few of these for my pathway!
Thank you for the video and the easy to understand instructions too!
Glad it was helpful!
Holy Cow Really Good!!! Definitely Long Over Due!!! 👌... Keep Em Coming
Wow! This is very beautiful. This looks like it would be a great neighborhood with great people. Thanks for sharing.

Great job with the video but also for driving such a nice community spirit...bravo and my son is giving us an idea of an arch across the road :) ..
Very well explained! Thank you! Your neighborhood looks so pretty.🥰
Nice job Nacho!

THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY NEIGHBORHOOD A LIL BIT BRIGHTER.
Wishing you a blessed and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Looks so cool!
Love this. Our neighborhood is doing a Christmas shindig this year sorta like Trick or treating during Halloween but instead it will be winter themed goodies and lights. I'm totally making these
Our neighbors were going a different install until we did a mock up of these. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
these look really great
I love it!!! Adding to my list of things to do…thanks
Good Luck and Have fun!
Wow!! It looks beautiful! Thank you for posting! I might try to make one next year as a garden arch and grow some vines on it.

Very cool man. I'm going to do the same thing but I'm going to hook him up to a controller so they blink and get crazy. Great video and beautiful lights
I saw these last year and was so inspired! You brightened up a pretty tough time. We're on the 3800 N block of Christiana and it was such a delight. Thank you.
Cool
Wow that is amazing 👏 I will try this
Fantastic video! I’ve been looking for a way to do this for awhile! Also, great to see a Chicagoan post this! Southwest sider here!
Real nice idea.

Looks great! Good job!

Good video, sir!
Very cool! Thank You!
Wish all neighbors do all arches in colors this year instead of white lights i think it would look awesome and great job with doing the arch 👍🤩
Thats pretty cool. Now I am heading to home depot.

Beautiful
beautiful... great job
Thank you! 😊
Cool job! I saw your neighbors started earlier this year, it adds some cheer during this hard time. Merry Christmas 🎅🤶❤
that looks so nice. I wish our neighbors would agree to do something like that
Try it, the neighbor who came up with the idea made flyers and left them at all the neighbor's doors on the block, , I thought it wasn't going to happen and I was wrong ..
It’s great
Very nice and I noticed alot around here too
Period king we love to see it!!!
Very nice thanks for the video
Your welcome
Wow very nice!!
Thank you! 😊
Amazing. Merry Christmas
Same to you!
Good work looks nice .
Thanks 👍
This is super great idea I saw another video which inspired me to do this I'm doing that method then I came across ur channel after I brought everything lol both of yall channels is very informative but it's cheaper I THINK ur way he used u post with zip ties instead of rebars n he wrap the pvc pipes with duck tape its really pretty I'm not doing the tape n he also connected each cord to the other cord on 1 side then put it in the power source bt tfs I love both of yall creations n I'm copying off both yall lol much love frm new orleans
Awesome man, I love seeing folks making DIY Christmas stuff, I just made a huge eight foot radius Christmas wreath, I'm gonna have to make some type of support for it, it's to large to be hanged from my porch.
I absolutely love this video start to finish! Thank you so much for being so thorough and it’s super encouraging! Your end result is amazing! Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing
Thank you so much!!
Nice.
No plumbers will not laugh when you said to wipe it off. Because if you cut the pipes as well, it leaves shavings and its better to wipe them clean before glueing. You made a very informative video. I never seen blue glue before, in Mi it is clear. And holding it only takes a few seconds of turning and its on. You can buy cheap garden stakes so you don't have to cut rebar. Home Depot for $2.98 each. Better than all that work you did.
So very beautiful ❤️
Thank you! 😊
Thank you , love all
We read about your street in the Tribune, so we drove over to see the street. Fantastic job! We are going to try to get our block to make them for next year. Thanks for the video!
If you guys do it let me know so I can check it out, hope your successful.
@@nachosvideo do you know how to wrap the lights with a drill ? We read about it in the paper, and can’t figure it out.
I'm one of your neighbors a little south, and am hoping my building will participate next year.
You going to do it this year
Thanks for the video. Next question. Will you keep it intact after you take them down? Will look at doing this next year.
"Whoa! That hurt!".....Hahahaha
Is there anything you cannot do with rebar. The Arches look amazing.
That is so pretty!
I do worry about the exposed plug at the end. You DO NOT want rain to get inside and cause a short!
I think he stated in a caption to secure the plugs.
I cover them with some electrical tape.
Gfc
I am buying the material today, was really happy to find your video. Looked great and you made it seem very doable. How far did you space them out? Thank you so much, your neighbors are lucky to have you around.
Just eye balled it trying to space them out evenly in front of the house.
❤
Important to let your viewers to know what kind of blade you’re using on the saw, as a wood cutting blade could chip metal and injure someone, great video I just think at that point you lost me using a Skill saw to cut rebar. I Recommend an angle grinder with a metal cutting 4-5” circular blade. Anyways I’ll take the rest of the info and make my arches tonight thank you so much for the time you put into this.
We started with a Hacksaw and then switched to a chop saw.
Most of them were done with a hacksaw, the Skill saw used on the video had a special blade for metal. but whatever works for you, if I had an angle grinder believe me I would have used it.
Great job love how the entire block did it. I’m trying to build this so I have a quick question are each pvc pipes 10ft long before connecting them together?
Yes
Doing my circle driveway this year
if you glued them together how do you store them once the season has passed?
Is this strong enough to hang fresh garland from if I secure the top to a porch archway?
Looks great - would love to know where this is so I could see it in person! I’m thinking of doing one over my driveway - so I don’t need to run an extension cord over the ground - hazard for the snowblower! Probably would need three 10 foot sections!
4100 block of N Francisco Ave in Chicago
Ha! I recognized chicago architecture in the background. I will definitely try this next year. Totally love it 😀
Great video. I do have a few questions: 1. how long if a light string did you use? 2. Would a single 20 ft pipe work?
Amigo saludos desde México .
Podrías hacer algun video en español? No se nada de ingles 🤭
