- Create a “mono-tangle” tile using the tangle #Tripoli by Zentangle HQ
A “mono-tangle” is simply filling a tile with one tangle. This is a very relaxing way to create a lovely tile which gives you a calm focus and helps improve your hand-eye coordination.
When I tangle just for me I frequently mono-tangle.
Remember to relax and focus simply upon the process of putting your pen to paper. 💖
Materials :
Black Sakura Micron 05
2B short length Graphite Pencil
Tortillon or paper stump for blending
White 3.5” square Zentangle Tile
Core Zentangle is created using black ink on a white Zentangle tile or good quality paper. I recommend to use the best quality paper you can get hold of as this makes a big difference to your creative experience.
Using black on white sets an “Elegance of Limits” which, paradoxically, leads to a calmer, more relaxed tangling experience and creative inspiration.
The Zentangle Method is a fun, easy to learn and mindful way to create lovely images by drawing structured patterns.
I would recommend that beginners seek out a Certified Zentangle Teacher and take an Introduction to Zentangle class. Many of us teach online or have recorded classes, so you can access a class wherever you live. This will give you a really good understanding of how to create Zentangle and a confident base upon which to explore your own Zentangle journey.

Love this design❤❤❤❤👌👌
Really Great ❤❤
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
Thanks!
Thank you for not speeding up the video.
Do you stick with the fine point black? Do you ever go color? or a thicker line? Or is the fine point the essence of the name. *zentangle* I never knew this as a specific art form, until your videos.
The music is nice but I find it distracting. I often can't hear your soothing voice over it.
Thank you for your feedback. I no longer add background music.
Oh my gosh.... Jo, this one is just NOT my strength! I've been practicing for a while, but I'm at a loss😕
