      Aw, thank you Matt. I simply want people to appreciate that they have it within themselves to create Zentangle and to step away from the stresses of daily life and the self criticism that so many have. The simplicity of the Zentangle Method, as you know, is what makes it so special. I really appreciate your comments and thoughts.

      Thank you! I enjoy sharing Zentangle.
      The beauty of Zentangle is that you can draw in any way that is right for you. The process of drawing Zentangle is much more important than the end result. If we enjoy our time, quietly drawing one line after another and have some beautiful, unique art at the end of it that is all we need. Anyone can create Zentangle by drawing one line at a time.
      I do teach online classes and also have most of these available as a recording, too. If you really want to know more about the Zentangle Method I would encourage you to take an introduction class with a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT). This will give you the core principles of the Zentangle Method and some key tangles, techniques and terminology. It can make all the difference.
      Many of us teach online so it doesn't matter where you live.
      Pop me an email if you would like to know more.

    Can u plz tell me about that white pencils name

    • @zenjozentangle
      @zenjozentangle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aliveni, That is a 'tortillon'. Made from twisted paper it is used to blend graphite or chalk pencil when we shade. Their is another type of blending stump that also works well and that is made from compressed paper fibres. Most art and craft stores will have these available. Zentangle HQ also sells them via their website www.zentangle.com

    That comment you made about the Indian woman was pompous and crass! 🤨

    • @zenjozentangle
      @zenjozentangle  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Katt,
      I am so sorry that you have wrongly perceived my words to be 'pompous and crass'. I am the least pompous and crass person possible!
      You are the only person to have every said such a thing and I interact with 100's of people around the world.
      My whole approach to teaching and sharing Zentangle is to encourage and support everyone, whoever they are and my intention when stating that I had had the honour of teaching the illiterate women in India by first helping them to hold a pen, was to say that, if they with absolutely no experience of writing or drawing, could tangle then absolutely anyone who can hold a pen (in whatever way) can also tangle.
      Katt, I am good at what I do and this is because I care about each and every student. I will always ensure that every student is treated with dignity and respect.
      That is not a pompous or crass statement.
      To put things into context. I was asked by the NGO Dignity of Girl Child based in Jaipur, if I would teach Zentangle to disadvantaged children, women and victims of domestic violence.
      I funded the whole trip myself and spent 2 very full weeks teaching in government schools, slum settlements and in rural Rajasthan.
      It was an exhausting but totally amazing experience and I still keep in contact with several of the young women I met .
      You can read more about this on my website www.zenjo.uk/zenjo-in-india.html
      I also recorded a video, at the request of Zentangle HQ, about the experience. You can watch this on their TH-cam channel.
      Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/7XisoI53gUU/w-d-xo.html
      I would hope that you have seen some of my other videos and maybe looked at my Facebook page: Zenjo Zentangle and my website www.zenjo.uk.
      This would give you more information about who I am.
      I would welcome the opportunity to share a Zentangle class with you.
      Please feel able to email me if you would like to know more. info@zenjoo.uk
      Kind regards,
      Jo

      @@zenjozentangle : You don't even understand why your comment is offensive, do you? Was it necessary to your video to point out that these women were illiterate??? NO! That's the problem with people like you; you don't even recognize when you're being inappropriate even when people point it out to you. You were once illiterate. You could learn a lot from other cultures and these "so-called illiterate" women if you step down off your high horse! I only wish I could have sent this note to you privately. 🙁
      P.S.
      Im not interested in your virtue signaling, self agrandizing activities 😑. Your credentials and experiences are meaningless if not backed up by solid character. 💯
