Putting your gun away to switch to your knife so you can pull out your gun again is some next level shit
No man,is called being a movie
The way he threw the knife was very uncanny, but effective.
That’s called being a moron.
dumb movie
Cool car...
Cobra: one of the coolest movie posters in the 80s.
Yes !
That Pepsi display with the soda pouring out is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
he didn't pay
Of course he had to destroy it lol
And it's heart breaking to see it get blown up like that, those displays were rare enough as it was in the 80's due to the cost of the unit, most distributors didn't bother with them, now they are impossible to find.
As a kid I believed it was real Pepsi soda pouring in until I touched it 😂😂.
As a kid I believed it was real Pepsi soda until I touched it 😂😂.
This is simultaneously one of the dumbest and greatest movie scenes ever. The logical and mature person in me sees this is over the top and ridiculous, but the 12 year old in me loves every second of it 😆
When he grabs the PA and goes "hey dirtbag... you're lousy shot...", next level 80's macho badassness, movies are just not made like this anymore.
🤣🤣🤣 Ain't that the truth‼️⁉️
Was gonna say, all those "hostages" could easily run away since the guy was too busy with only a few. I'd be running outta there if I heard a shotgun go off 😆
🎯
I still remember the reviews of this when it came out, they showed scene he was in back of pick up shooting motorcyclist, I was 9...
"Go ahead. I don't shop here..."
A true legend!
My favorite line!
Perfect line. The Eastwood thing with 'go ahead, make my day' was just a year or two prior to this. This made a nice, comedic change of pace.
0:35-0:41 that rival cop was such a sour prick...always antagonizing The Cobra tsk, tsk...
@@babymammoth34 Dude HAD to be a liberal...
Dude decades later I STILL laugh at that line!
I always liked Stallone cutting the cold pizza with a scissors.
Hhahah I forgot about that lmao 😂😂😂😂😂
Carb control:)
It's the Cobra lifestyle.
LOL me too
And cleaning his gun with the kit stored in an egg carton.
His commitment to those sunglasses, given the gravity of the situation and darkness of the store, is truly remarkable. Mad to think that this was based on a true story
yes, for sure. It's the way of the New World, Yo!
@@babymammoth34 😉🤣😂🤣
What's up with his Michael Jackson outfit?
I tried googling it. All that I saw was that the movie "King Cobra" was based on a true story. I couldn't find anything that said that Cobra is based on a true story.
@@80s_Boombox_Collector Films like cobra are a peak into the past... or an certain style of plot/film style of certain producers things like Texas chainsaw films/nightmare elm street/driller killer/blood galore fess types.......
One of many types of films that the age rating board (back then) classed a ultra violent or R rated aka the nickname : video nasties. They tried to to outright ban but they got out & released anyhow. Just like the old picture houses with 'under the counter' porn types content. That sold for big money or openly for sale behind closed doors. Some poor copies, this how it was before the internet.
You can say it was the right right palace for it to be used. Like many other references of culture it symbolises a meaning or a persona protruded in that film. Example black for bad white for good.
PSYCHO:: I'll Blow This Whole Place Up
COBRA:: Go Ahead, I Don't Shop Here 😂🤣
In 1986, this was just a movie. Today, its like a story on the news.
💯
Scary
You got that right
Y la sociedad, o más bien las autoridades, siguen siendo igual: protegiendo a los delincuentes.
But there is no Cobra
True
'hey Cobretti you know you have an attitude problem?''
Yea but it's just a little one
Monte to Cobretti: "Look, this is not your specialty, okay?! This is PURE Investigative police work, not jumping through a window."
Cobretti: "Look, Captain...I don't want to be a Hero. I just wanna be involved."
@@babymammoth34 monte was the typical liberal democrat
Stallone isn't acting here; he's just being himself. He's just a natural badass.
The guy playing the gunman does a great job playing an unstable maniac.
If a youngster ever asks you, "what were the 80s like?" Just show them this movie. This is peak 80s.
There's still a 13 year old boy in me that thinks, "This is so awesome!!"
i'm 42 and i think it's awesome.
You're not alone there, my friend.
Still have this movie on VHS, and I'm never giving it away!

i have seen the workprint version

I love how he drives 100 mph through the parking lot, then gets out of his car like he's chillin.
like all of the real life dumb fucks weaving through traffic to get home 30 seconds faster. then what?
Still one of the most memorable movies growing up in the 80’s and one of the best car chases
Definitely! I agree!
Such an iconic 80's flick-down to Stallone's huge sunglasses and matchstick! Sly's answer to Arnie's Commando a year earlier!
Yeah - but - still amazed Stallone turned down Beverly Hills Cop to make this version. Considering that BHC made about $100 million more.
Xaaxaaa😊😊😊b
The golden age of cinema.
"You're a lousy shot... I don't like lousy shots"
Still one of my fave lines from the film. 😂😂😂
Cowboy boots in movies are magical. Sometimes they make noise sometimes they don’t.
Coors paid for the product placement I bet.
Stallone opens a can, takes a sip, here's $$$$
Bud Light could use some of that these days.
Pretty much everything in a movie is negotiated, even in the '80's.
But, I guess some spots are a a lot more prominent than others, lol.
lots of product placement. What a huge supermarket!
@@russs3001 True, but it is also true that stores were often stacked to the rafters with product, unlike the barebones stores you often see now.
“You’re a disease, and I’m the cure”
I love this line
Wearing dark sunglasses in a dark store always helps you see better in a gun fight.
But he looked cool and that's all that matters.
Мы говорим на разных языках, но думаем одинаково 🇷🇺 🤝
@@notta3d The hostages sure as shit didn't matter..
It brought the cool factor in the scene that all that counts. Cobrety kicked arse!
Damn Straight.........Night Vision
Always love the style of that 1950s Mercury Stallone drove. Awesome hood scoop on that 50s Mercury as well. Very nice car any old car enthusiast would like to drive or own....
Stallone has a thing for old Fords. My favorite is the bulletproof F100 in The Expendables. This Mercury is also very cool
@@chrisflores4788 I like the 50 Mercury as well. Loved that smooth rounded shape and that hood scoop gave the 50 Mercury just enough hot rod look..... Nice car.
And because of this movie people were (trying) to get 8 to 10 thousand for a rusted out no motor body on buy sell papers. That was UNREAL asking price for back then.
I love watching this movie when I was growing up,I would spend the night over my Grandparents house and my Grandfather had this movie taped on vhs and I would watch it anytime I was up there,it was so cool then.
I'd love to see a blooper reel of this whole scene and all the actors cracking up with their serious lines haha.
That's the most boss entrance ever. Only Cobra can perfect that.
Watch your mouth, it's The Cobra.
“No women. No kids” -Leon the Professional.

"Go ahead. I don't shop here."
Solid 80’s gold!
"go ahead, I don't shop here." What a badass line.
This film is why 1911 became my favorite handgun
Old movies were incredible!
Especially in the 80s and 90s.
This is a classic movie.
Man I watched this movie a million times when I was a kid. I’m 26, this was by far my favorite piece by Stallone
I think I have watched this at least 10 times
Stallone was a genius. He made both an '80's cop movie and a parody of one at the same time.
"Your a disease and I'm the cure!" That is one of the most epic lines in movie history! It's too bad we don't have a modern day Cobra to clean up all the disease we have running around in the city!
you are either a troll or a bot.
@@ionfilter0304 Do you doubt that we have a lot of disease infecting our cities today?
@@kickit59 Depends on what you're referencing with the word disease. This type of policing is tantamount to fixing a faucet without first shutting off the water.
@@ionfilter0304 We have thugs of all kinds infecting our cities! Inserting them into a jail cell for a prolonged visit would be a step in the right direction. However there were some epic lines in Cobra like "You're a disease and I'm the cure!" If you doubt our cities are diseased in this way you haven't really been there and had the experience face to face!
@@ionfilter0304 Profound. In other news, police in really real world have negotiation teams that go in before SWAT as a last resort. In no real police force does one guy show up in a hot rod with a decaled gun and aviators and take out hostage holders. I wouldn't have informed you if you'd shown me you already knew that.
Long Live The 80s Baby 😎👍
Amen...There were more good movies during the 80's than the other decades COMBINED...
We had 2 actors from Dirty Harry in this movie along with Inspector Sledge Hammer. Pure Gold!
You're a disease, and I'm the cure. Lol, great line!
I’m so happy no RC Cola was destroyed.
Hahahaha. 😂😀😛🙂😊
Yeah But Pepsi was
I miss the taste of RC Cola. It've been decades since I was drinking it last time 🥺
@@FekalistaGrzybowory-lz8lh
I still drink RC
RC is great, its easily the best “cheap” pop
Anyone else notice that Cobra drinks warm beer?
Warm beer... eww
Yep probably explains why he tossed it instead of finishing the can.
The definitive underrated ‘80s classic. This is what made Stallone Sly.
Stallone was the best thing to happen in Hollywood in the 80s 😅
Stallone actually HAPPENED to the 70s
the 80s was an after effect
if not for Rocky and Rambo , none of this would have happened
Today's action heroes will never live up to the 80's standard.
Still is
"Cobra, come in, we've got a problem!"
"What is it? More maniacs?"
"No, the movie is over-budget, you've got to stop for some product placement"

Cobretty : How bad is it
His Partner : IT'S BAD

@martinkuliza all good brother thx
This is my favourite scene cobra sylvester stallone
Yells "Drop it!" in between gunshots.
Stallone turned down Beverly Hills Cop to do Cobra. Eddie Murphy took it and the rest is history.
He did a favor by doing that. BHC wouldnt been as good with him as Eddie Murphy did it and I'm a Sylvester Stallone fan. It's like Eddie Murphy playing Cobra. Some things just ain't meant to be.
@@hareemobduljawon BHC was a comedy with a hint of action. Stallone's style is action with a wisp of comedy.
An incredible piece of cinema, as only Stallone could do
When he opened and drank that beer. You just can't teach that.
Warm beer. Yuk.
I'm still trying to understand why if you have a fully staffed SWAT team outside of the store, you're gonna send one dude with a match in his mouth in to resolve the incident, lol
Movie logic.
Coz Stallone vetoed the writers guild assn, took over the Beverly hills script and the director cosmatose was in a comatose state. No kidding esse!!!
Well, clearly, the dude with the match is just WAY COOLER than all those SWAT guys..
Because he’s Stallone although Chuck Norris wasn’t available
don't forget the mirrored shades. nothing says full sight when you wearing sun glasses in a darkened room.
Sly was at his peak coolest in this classic 80s action film. 😎
Cobra reached new heights of artistic genius; the Renaissance, the Mona Lisa, the Pyramids, the Sistine Chapel.......NOTHING comes close.
That supermarket design makes me miss the good old grocery stores from the 50's to 90's...
i bought a pirated VHS copy of this Flick back in 1987.. Priceless movie back then.
Great movie..😅👍🏻 im going to have to buy this on dvd ir Blu-ray. Cobra is so cool he didn't even have to take his shades off😅
His car is the same shade of black in the Expendables.
"i dont deal with psychos, i put em away"
Love how he sips the beer before throwing it....
Sylvester Stallone is a TRUE LEGEND and BEAST FACTS NO MO TALK 💯💯💯💯💪😇🙏
He didn't remove his shades, not even once...................
Of course, he's Marion Cobretti 👍
This character might be of the most over the top in Sly's history but damn, it does capture your attention.
After this movie, he did over the top.
One of my favorite Stallone movies.
Films like this is made today are very few far in between or not at all ,that’s why I’m glad seen the best already, because they sure don’t make them like they used to.
ONLY COBRA COULD SPIN HIS GUN LIKE THAT.
Good old memories!wish i could turn back time
i remember seeing this in the theater when I was 21 loved it still love it
Bully for you I just turned 25 today and I envy seeing classics like this in theaters nowadays all we have is political bull crap even the propaganda back then was better done
@@GrosvnerMcaffrey politics aside, you can find small theaters to show these movies. Its not hard

Funny how he tells him to drop it after he throws a knife into his chest.
i mean.. that was just for legal reasons
Technically he gave him 1 SPLIT SECOND to do the right thing
when he CLEARLY refused, Cobra unloaded AN ENTIRE CLIP into his chest
Ya know... Because it was NECESSARY :P
I ve watched this movie on VHS when i was 9 yrs old. Now I am 45 and i still love it.😂
I appreciate all the police and ambulance and fire department world wide!!! Thank you for what you do!!! You don't have to...but you do!!!! Much love !! Always!!! Believe that!!@!

A great action movie 🎬🎥 Silvester Stallone on his best.

Surprised didn't do sequels on this character.
I just want to say that this was the very first Hollywood movie I watched some 23 years ago. 😅

I'm surprised there aren't so many sleds out of control memes made with the way that cars weight is completely making that turn impossible in the first two seconds of this video.
Imagine how many bad ass films that came out in 1986
This movie awesome. Saw in theaters with my friends.
I liked this movie. One of my favorites from Stallone. Too bad it doesent come on cable anymore. I have it on Blu-ray.
Proud to say i saw this at a theater in chula vista california and is one of my favorite memories of all time
As a kid when I first heard of the movie I thought it was about a giant cobra going in a killing spree 😅
😅 I thought it was about shakes till I recognized sly on the poster..👍🏻 funny you say that mate..I thought the same when I was a young lad. My first movie I saw when my family moved to long island from England.
There should have be a few sequels to this movie.
Stallone wanted to make a sequel but felt that with the amount of gritty violence that he had in mind for a sequel wouldn't live up to woke Hollywood standards
We could've become Sly was awesome in this.
There was a sequel… The Expendables. Barney Ross is clearly a cover name for a retired Marion Cobretti. They even drive the same car!
