KCD is one of the most immersive games I've ever played. Like thinking you are in there in the world. Especially around the foresty areas, they really feel like youre in a real life forest. The soundscape, animal sounds, hooves, wind everything is so nicely done in those games. Fantastic audio engineering. Very nice clear sounds, not muted to hell like in most modern games.
@@intothevoid2046 You can fix quite a bit about the combat with mods, I know I did. Remove Master Strike (turns game too easy and boring once its introduced, combos are completely useless because enemy will just master strike you), remove slow-mo, remove target lock, faster arrows, no arrow trails. KCD does the combat and progression very differently than most games, you start out as weak as Henry does. In most games you can kill first enemies easily and without thought. Not so much in KCD. It didnt resonate with people who are used to being handheld in games.
The little details makes it so immersive. For example you are a peasant in the game, therefore you cannot read, like every other peasant in the world at that time. So there is a quest, where you need to learn how to read. And after that you can read books, but not books in latin! Insane! Never seen anything like it before.

Man I’m so glad I played the first one this year. Some of the most fun I’ve had in any RPG ever. As long as they just give me more KCD with better graphics and less jank I’m happy.
indeed... I had never heard of it, and played it recently for the first time as well.... for its its top 5 games of all time... good to see not all of these companies have completely lost the ability to make games with compelling stories and writing.
Kcd 2 is the one game I will not be skeptical about at all. Warhorse is a studio that doesnt baby gamers and actually care about the game they are delivering to fans they have earned my trust
Indeed... and they are not focused on a lot of the other bs that many of the big studios are... they care about making a good game.. and respecting the history and the culture of the area the game is about... its great to see... the counter opposite of what studios like Ubisoft are about.
Kingdom Come Deliverance took me around 200hrs to full complete. (in my 6th play-through) & I fully enjoyed everything. Don’t know how people complete it so fast. Like how could anyone not explore the whole map.
There is one bad bug it tied to from the ashes dlc and it make the game un beatable. Fortunately it only if you complete from the ashes dlc that you can run into this bug
My only concern is the combat. I'm not sure which sections of the game people managed to play, but in KCD there was a massive difference in combat between the early game and when you were fighting 3 or 4 armored opponents at once. Late game KCD felt more like a fight against their lock on system than the enemies. If Warhorse can fix that, I expect KCD2 to be a masterpiece. The world is going to be beautiful and immersive and the story engaging, that feels like a given.
@@theoutsiderjess1869i heard the community manager saying they have refined the system but will still be difficult with several opponents cause well its more realistic so keepimg the system they have just more refined its not alot they can do honestly. Ive found it easier to not lock on when facing several enemies and if u manage to notice enemies do urself a favour and buff up i mean the healing potions and alot of others that will save ur life anf consider using poison can also help u expecially against high level enemies. I still dont know what perk is best between being fast or the sprint for longer cause sometimes ive tried running away so i can potion up only for them to catch up with me i forget the names of the perks
Kingdom Come and RDR2 really set a bar for me when comes to living breathing worlds that are interactive and reactive. Kingdom Come 2 and GTA6 have me hyped for their open worlds many games will struggle to compete in the open world aspects.
“reactive” is a stretch for KCD. Doing quests that are specifically built to change things in-game doesn’t make it reactive. The guards are just as incompetent as Skyrim guards, nothing actually changes outside of story quests or the townbuilding DLC. It’s a great game, but reactive is not how I’d describe it at all. Putting on better clothes to boost charisma and get discounts isn’t reactive
@@SnailHatanI’d argue it’s reactive to a degree. One example off the top of my head: the quest where you’re sent to investigate that stable near the starting town… the time you take to travel there will change some minor things, if you take too long the guards will handle a lot of the investigation for you and chastise you for your lateness. It’s not world changing AI or anything, but minor things you do can affect certain outcomes and how you’re treated.

Me and my gf picked up KCD after seeing the trailer of the second game, and we're playing it on a gaming PC and a gaming laptop. Yes, it's still a little buggy, but nothing that ruined our experience. It's a real hidden gem of a game! Highly recommended if you like medieval history
The lead developer Vávra is perfectionist, he said if they made it like he wishes it to be it would never be released. Sure it will be bit clunky on bugs and technical issues but this one game I will preorder. One day before release.
After hearing about game studios in the 80s and 90s having teams of like 10 to 20 programmers, it is mind blowing "small" is now sub 100 employees. I know the technicalities have only grown in complexy by a large margin, but its just the magnitude is so incomprehensible. Also @luke, I gotta say, probably your 3rd or 4th video I've seen, and i appreciate your persistence of truth. You said before you're a skeptic, but you're not trying to be a content creator thats just cynical instead.
I can honestly say I have never played a game like Kingdom Come: Deliverance before. I've never been so moved by a game, and had such highs and lows. It's like a great book, and so incredibly immersive. I'm really excited to see how the second one will be.
One of the most immersive games I've played, but RDR2 was more immersive. Nevertheless, I must've played about 60 hours of farkle in KCD. That mini-game was so addictive and I loved winning special dice from other NPC players.
@@mitch_sugardad4579I do find the mission design in RDR2 much more simple and less immersive. It’s the same old on rails formula. That’s one of KCDs big strengths.
By now, over ten-thousand people already have played KCD2 at least partially. About 9000 on Gamescom already, although just a short 20 Minute snippet. Then there was Tokyo Game-Show as well, not to count the earlier event in Kuttenberg you were referring to, where journalists and a few influencers could play the game for about 3 hours. I think it's safe to say, that KCD2 already performs much better than what KCD1 did at release.
I still remember my second Playthrough so dearly, that happened a few years after my first and obviously, i also became a bit more mature and attentive. Gosh, i missed so much stuff in my first Playthrough so that my second one felt like my true first playthrough. Still remember my Fight with Runt that i struggled with in my first playthrough but one-hitted in my Second. Or the whole alchemy system that i used much more to actually brew Saviour-Schnapps/Retterschnaps and healing items. Or the Clothing System for various situations such as sneaking and fighting or just bartering. I definitely hope, that KCD II will be a wonderful success!
I know someone inside the studio and I can confirm that Warhorse were a bit worried about AC: Shadows being delayed to the same month (KCD was delayed first before Ubisoft decided to release AC in the February as well). Even though people love to hate on AC: Shadows atm it's still a way more recognizable IP and Ubisoft has much bigger budget for marketing. People online will also want to talk about AC: Shadows when it comes out so I think it's only natural to be afraid that it might overshadow the release of KCD 2 a bit.
I think they are probably going to get a bump in recognition from it to be honest. Unless assassins creed shadows is really good (which is really unlikely), there are going to be alot of "Not that, this" discussions around the game. Similar to what happened to Helldivers 2 in relation to Suicide Squad.
It was comforting to hear that at the game showcase when players encountered bugs there were developers there noting them to fix them. (according to a youtuber who was there, though I can’t remember who it was) 11:20
Regarding Shadows, AC Shadows is a "historical" RPG, KCD2 is a historical RPG. Of course they do not want to launch next to it. Not to mention, controversy around Shadows is likely to suck a lot of air out of the room, public-conscience-wise. I fully expect Warhorse to move KCD2 a week earlier just to get more breathing room from it.
Plus if it meets expectation which are set pretty high considering the first one, the game will be all anyone can talk about for 3 weeks. I half expect KCD to steal sales from shadows.
they're worrying because AC shadows is releasing in the same time frame, they're afraid they might make AC shadows dead on arrival by accident. Their concern is justified because they have a good heart
@@SongOfStorms411 Since Odyssey they have had some nonlinear quests and stuff like that, so people consider them action RPG in similar vein as Witcher 3. Obviously KCD is still much more of an RPG than any AC.

They all have great food, but my anecdotal observation is the smaller the place, the better the food.
Should be noted that 250 is a pretty sizeable team. About the same as the in house teams that worked on Skyrim and the Witcher 3. And a sequel like this that’s somewhat iterative means there aren’t nearly as many resources going to developing the foundation of the game, and more to generating content using what’s already built.
Took me awhile to get into KCD. I watched ESO play it when I was a Freshman in high school. Soon, I finally played for myself: Days into the game, still frustrated with the combat, I rage quit just before the best climaxes of the story. Time went by n I came back, fully intending to finish Henry’s story(sike). You really have to put in the work/time to get better at the fighting. So immersive, it’s almost insane. Easily one of my top games next to RDR2 and God of War. 8:10
I’m glad you came back and loved it. I spent too much time trying to explain to people how the combat worked and not to get discouraged. Henry is garbage at first, two dudes with literal sticks will absolutely beat him down. Training with the guardsmen, practicing in the training yard, and learning the combos are all SUPER important. After a few dozen hours and better gear, I was able to 1v1 a trained knight in full plate.
Never in my life have I played a game that I needed to make coffee before hand in order to stay awake to play said game until KCD. Hopefully this one is better
Most of my gaming core memories are related to this game and I’m 36 and a gamer since I was 6. They did something that I last felt in probably the Gothic games, just a wonderful experience. I wish I could play this again for the first time
I've been playing the first KCD for the past 2 months and can confidently say it's the best game I've ever played. Better than BG3 imo. Plus, I've learned a ton of history from it, particularly day to day life details in medieval times. I did need some QoL mods though, like a bow reticle and herb pickup animation skips
@@Panssel The mod I'm using is called "Instant Herb Picking". It just skips the pickup animation, making it so I can zoom down a field pressing E to pickup everything really fast. I combined that with the "Easy To See Herbs" mod. That one just re-styles the herbs so they're easier to see on the ground (without breaking immersion). Lmk if you wanna know of other mods, I'm using a bunch of quality-of-life mods that massively improve the experience IMO.
As someone who kickstarted the original KCD, I could not be happier with how everything turned out. The creative director of Warhorse Studios, Daniel Vavra, is a treasure and as long as he controls the studio, we'll have some glorious game to look forward to. He's passionate and a gamer himself.
Played the game on release, had a ton of bugs, but the game was so good that it didn't matter and now I've started playing it for the 3rd time with all DLC this time and my god this game is pure gold.
I played KCD two years after launch and never encountered a single major glitch or game breaking bug. It is masterpiece of a game. Contrast that with Skyrim where today even with a fully patched version and using the fan patch it’s trivial to still run into game breaking bugs.

At the reveal of KCD2 in April Warhorse said that in terms of quality and polish the game was at the same stage as KCD was at launch, and they have been in an all out bug-squashing mode for the last 6 months. Woah, it's already been 6 months since the reveal...
With the first game, they researched all the weapons and armour, they physically made weapons and armour and tested it. That is why in the first game if hit someone not wearing a helmet in the head they would die instantly. In the preview of the new game (this vid at 8:20) a guy is hit in the head and does not die, just shakes his head. I am worried the combat is a little more game than real.
@@Lisa-Azra_Broad that was a duel, not a fight to the death, that npc wasnt going to die, and enemies in the first game CAN take attacks to the head unarmored without dying, at least in early game
It is also worth to mention that it will be over 6 years from first game release, so they have some time to work and build this game. (probably not all that time from various reasons, like working on DLCs, building new team, conceptual work etc. but still a lot time to make a good game in my opinon ;) )
They're coming out with confidence. Not arrogance like we see so often from other studios. I think they're genuinely excited to show us what they're cooking and I'm all for it.
It could literally be the same game with the same physics and a new story and I would still play it. My only 'skeptical' take is that I really hope the story is just as good (or hopefully) better than the first. I really just want an epic medieval story that does justice to the age. I love the gameplay of the first already, but I really need an rpg with a soul again like the Witcher, the previous kcd, and red dead redemption 2 had. No more robotic, uninteresting, lifeless npcs like Bethesda, ubisoft, and smaller game, but mount and blade banner lord have had as of late. I played the original mount and blade. Though Bannerlord is a better game, the npcs feel like lifeless vessels compared to the compelling characters of the first. I am not worried about kcd2 because I've yet to have a bad experience with their game. The dlcs were good(especially a woman's lot, and band of bastards while it lasted) the story, though simple, was well told, and the characters all had things that added to the overarching story, like Hans Capon with a great character arc that proves he was right and actually a good lad the whole time, or the general feel of the game as henry slowly gains the respect and trust of the lords during the battles and missions. I just want expansion and a well written ending to Henry's story.
The Royal Edition of KCD is on -85% sale on Steam right now. I bought it even though i already had it on different platform, because the devs just deserve it. Steam in my country asks for 5,99EUR. That's a freakin steal for game this good, including all the DLCs. I highly recommend everyone who love openworld games that don't rely on generic content, VERY original (but really clunky and tough to learn) combat system, funny dialogue and overall good writing. Dan Vávra might not be the most honest debater when it comes to politics and some elements of his worldview are definitely worrying a little, but he's definitely good writer, and he understands what a great game should have. The first Mafia was very good, and so is KCD. Also, a huge chunk of the KCD map is VERY realistic. Everything east from Samopesh and Ledetchko is close to 1:1. So you can visit Sasau region of medieval version of Czechia. My family used to have a summer cottage near Samopesh, i spent every summer there as a kid until 1994 when we had to sell :-(. I miss the place terribly. I truly regret they didn't stick to the map realism also west of Samopesh and Samopesh itself. They kinda folded the map right there at the edge of the village, moved Sasau way closer and much further south than where it really is, i guess to be able to fit few more villages that aren't really in walking distance from the Rattay/Talmberg/Ledetchko triangle. I still think that they could have done it anyway, because the real area between Samopesh and Sasau is basically just a river, rock cliffs with a few summer camps anyway, but the Warhorse team was small, and i guess they didn't want "empty" areas where only stuff that would happen would be generic bandit encounters. Filling that area with meaningful content would take time and resources, so they decided to just move Sasau (and everything north of Sasau) closer to the realistic part of the map. Still love the game, and i wish Warhorse success with KCD2.
They key to Kingdom Come: Deliverance: 1. Skull cracker. 2. You can just drink liquor instead of eating. 3. Potions are all made of booze which ties in to #2. 4. Skull cracker.
Watched a couple youtubers play through the game and loved every second of it. Very excited for this one! Btw: the original is on sale for 6 dollars atm!
My only issue with this is you are a bit inconsistent when either criticizing or praising games for being a 1.5 of the first game instead of a different second game. You heavily criticized horizon and spider man for it but praised Jedi(minus technical issues) this and others 10:35
They hired a lot of talent that left CDPR who worked on the Witcher games. So they might have some serious experience on board boosting their development.
Best way to describe KCD1: Brilliant Eurojank (its fine you can use that term, us Europeans aren't as sensitive) and with KCD2 expect Eurojank to still be around but probably improved compared to the first game. If it doesn't bother you, you'll have a great time. I mean just think of the Witcher games, Eurojank that improved with each sequel.
My Collector's Edition of KCD2 is locked and ready to join its three older brothers (yes, KCD1 received three separate CEs). Masterpiece of a game and I know Warhorse will deliver again.
Personally i dont have any faith in a studio left these days im praying that kcd2 is authentic but im withholding bying yhe game until i can see for sure
A team of 250 is not small at all, that's comfortably an AAA level headcount. Sure, maybe not megacorp mega-inefficient AAA, but the majority of AAA studios do not have more than 250 people, especially not working on the same game. Anyway, I am very excited for KCD2, the first game is one of the most underrated games of all time. Surely it was pummeled hard by its bugs at launch, but I played it a few years after it came out and absolutely loved it, very immersive, innovative, not perfect, but despite its flaws it was a fantastic experience. I am 100% confident that they will deliver, a few bugs and/or performance issues are not going to be a dealbreaker, they come with the territory of a massive game.
I agree with "that one person" - the 11.2. release date is worrisome. AC Shadows people are the types to play KCD. It's a massive historical RPG, enough said. And if you have to spend 150 hours in a game, you will have to make a choice which one to buy. Actually it will be interesting to see how many people will follow "the based" studio (Warhorse) instead of very much not based Ubisoft lmao.
With shadows launching on steam day one, it will be interesting to compare the numbers. Personally I expect KCD2 will actually against expectations pull bigger numbers than AC Shadows.
@@8Paul7 I'm worried because let's be honest, AC is a brand that fans just buy because it's AC. KCD is not established, small studio from Europe, and buggy first game. This will be the first game I’ve preordered in 4 years. KCD is the best RPG I’ve ever played and since then nothing has scratched the itch it does. Nothing comes close to what KCD does even other amazing rpgs because no other game is as immersive as KCD hardcore mode. No other game even tries to be as relentlessly realistic and historically accurate as KCD.
kcd1 as a whole was just act 1 of the story and therefore we had to wait for kcd2 which will be act 2 (the Bohemian paradise) and act 3 (kuttenberg) They ended the first one the way they did because the original plan was to release the second act 1 or 2 years after the first one and third with the same time gap after the second one but kcd 1 grew too much in size and Vávra being Vávra (an insane megalomaniac - which is great I think, given that he can deliver the best product possible as long as he’s not treated like he was during mafia 2 development) and Warhorse being full of other people that know really well what they're doing, they decided to make kcd2 the whole act 2&3 which is why the game took double the time of their original plan and is roughly double in size (at least the world is, and the script is apparently longer than that for bg3 which is a hard thing to do, but Warhorse is one of the studios which I believe can do a game as huge as this)
I have over 250 hours in KCD 1 with just the 1st playthrough (all DLC's included). Think about this...the guy who made this game and made all this possible is the same guy that made and wrote Mafia 1 back in the 2000 and wrote Mafia 2. I'm happy that they delayed the release date. So they can polish the game even more. Peace!
9:03 one of the quests in the forst game was drinking with a young prince and the debaucharee that comes with that. Ie, actual meaningful story in minor questing
It's got to be a nightmare for devs to include "choices matter" in an RPG. Each branch can literally double the needed content each choice. Story, voice lines, character animations, different world effects, etc.

The fact that Warhorse wanted to avoid releasing around AC Shadows, but then AC Shadows delays to within 3 days of KCD2 anyway... that is too funny. What a terrible coincidence
I think when all is say in done kcd 2 will be more profitable at least in the first three months than shadows. I got to think with how much big companies spent on marketing their budget has to be north of 125 million maybe closer to 20 million dollars
I don't understand your confusion about possible crossover audiences with AC:S. You, yourself, have stated that your are (or at least were) a huge AC fan - and yet you love KCD. So you are exactly an example of someone who would (or would have in the past) been all aboard for both games. But the fear for them, I think, is that that demographic probably only has time for one multi-mega-hour game. So which do they pick? The ultra super shiny high budget title that will likely garner both old and new players out of the gate? Or the audience that played their (completely underrated) game in the past ... but who knows of the initial wonkiness so who don't need an excuse to let it simmer for a bit before buying? They may be an indie, but they want, and probably need, those tasty launch week sales too. Seems to me to be a very fair thought to try to avoid that conflict. Disclosure: I, too, play both AC and KCD, so I'm also part of that "crossover" demo.
I think it might be mainly about the media and influencer attention, who might focus a lot on AC:S, making it the topic of the day, so KCD2 might flow under the radar. It's maybe not even about the audience directly, but to get the attention of this audience in the first place.
When the first game came out my PC couldn't run it, but I completed it around three months ago and fell in love with the game and its world. I'm an absolute sucker for the time period, and I'm so excited for the new release
I really hope they bring back Farkle as a mini-game. I played that for many many hours, reminded me of Liars Dice (RDR). Also, the fact you could win special dice from NPC players was a great feature.
I get that it's a medium-sized studio, but that shouldn't be an excuse to release the game half-broken only to fix it later. If we don't tolerate big companies doing that, we shouldn't allow it from a medium or small studio either, especially if they're charging full price.
Lol they are not changing full price thought if you are playing on pc. And yet normal reviews don’t drop triple A games with the same bugs. Any review that game starfield higher than seven has no creditable. Plenty of rpg have bugs the witcher 3 was an buggy mess and it had game great save issues.
It’s not really an big red flag for me because they were already working on kcd2 when they sold the company. Daniel Varrva is still there. Also Deep Silver has said they were pretty much hands off with kcd2 because they need sure things if they want to get out of the hole
Bigger team does not mean better and of higher quality and less bugs. 250 is not a small team. In my opinion, teams even for massive open world games should not go over 250 people. We owe most of the sloppiness in modern games to oversized teams where communication gets lost or things happen last minute and as such to a lesser quality. You can create a massive game with 100-250 people. It might take a little longer it might also not. But it will be far better connected and polished. At this kind of team size different departments will actually still be able to have an overview on what the other departments are doing and how things are connected.
I don't quite understand how you would call a 75-100-people studio "small" and "really small and intimate" team. There are teams of less than 10 people working on indie games that are very good in quality, if of a bit smaller scope and I would say that a team of 30+ people already is not a small team anymore, it is certainly already a dedicated game studio instead of a tiny group that work on it as a indie hobby project, lol. The whole factorio team is now 31 people when releasing their big DLC and pretty surely was much less than that when they released the original game. The whole team behind satisfactory is 39 people. The team behind Valheim has 14 people. These games take their time to finish developing, but if one looks at big AAA productions that spend a lot of their time in pre-production or dev hell, those take much longer for much less quality in quite a number of cases (just looking at Mass effect andromeda and duke nukem forever, off the top of my hat).

The need to eat some bread out on the road is immersive
This is true until it gets to the combat. Combat is probably the main reason why people who don't like it don't like it.
@@intothevoid2046 they can’t git gud

This game is made in Czech republic, and takes place also in medieval Czech republic. We love it here. Its like CD Projekt in Poland with Witcher.
They apparebtly changed how combat worked its different from the first game
The combat in the first one ruined the entire game for me. I hope it's changed now.
There were some really nice mods that made the combat a lot better. I'm sure the devs will have noted that for the sequel.
1v1 combat in KCD was fine, it was when it was multiple enemys that it failed. Amazing game tho. Replaying it now tbh 🙏🏾👏🏾👊🏽🇬🇧

Not really that interactive and reactive, but it is a beautiful and accurate historical period setting

Purely in game speaking i will have no clue cause sometime sir radzig says hurry but its not actually time sensitive but ots not always like that though
Its a very very tiny nitpick other than that i like having timed quests sure its sometimes can be a little inconvient but thats the point the world is not living by ur clock and for me this adds immersion instead of like skyrim for example if im not there nothing is happening that world lives by my clock

I think in my 30+ years of gaming I've maybe pre ordered 1 or 2 games. the amount of fun i had in this game and the amount of time i sunk into it, This team has absolutely earned my pre order.
Me and my gf picked up KCD after seeing the trailer of the second game, and we're playing it on a gaming PC and a gaming laptop. Yes, it's still a little buggy, but nothing that ruined our experience. It's a real hidden gem of a game! Highly recommended if you like medieval history
Thats not buggy its how the game is made... It's called Jak
The lead developer Vávra is perfectionist, he said if they made it like he wishes it to be it would never be released. Sure it will be bit clunky on bugs and technical issues but this one game I will preorder. One day before release.
Ah, I get it. It's a skeptical look because they haven't paid him for this review.
KCD + dlcs was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had, can’t wait for the sequel
@@mitch_sugardad4579to be honest, there aren't really that many games that can say they're more immersive than rdr2.
Time to short Ubisoft stocks for the next few months so I got enough money to spend on games in feb 😂
I highly doubt shadows is going to do well it will probably lose money

Regarding Shadows, AC Shadows is a "historical" RPG, KCD2 is a historical RPG. Of course they do not want to launch next to it. Not to mention, controversy around Shadows is likely to suck a lot of air out of the room, public-conscience-wise. I fully expect Warhorse to move KCD2 a week earlier just to get more breathing room from it.
Lol
Plus if it meets expectation which are set pretty high considering the first one, the game will be all anyone can talk about for 3 weeks. I half expect KCD to steal sales from shadows.
they're worrying because AC shadows is releasing in the same time frame, they're afraid they might make AC shadows dead on arrival by accident. Their concern is justified because they have a good heart

KCD was one one best games of all tiem... cant wait to see what they do with KCD 2
What the release date says to me is that someone in marketing really dropped the ball. They should have delayed to 14/03

I think people will be surprised by how polished it will be. Warhorse are very intent on removing their "buggy games" reputation.
At the reveal of KCD2 in April Warhorse said that in terms of quality and polish the game was at the same stage as KCD was at launch, and they have been in an all out bug-squashing mode for the last 6 months.

Kcd1 is very cheap right now it not for everyone.
Did you payed attention at what was happening there? No, of course not

I would gamble a lot of money on the guess that this game will be a 9/10 or 10/10 game all round
It is also worth to mention that it will be over 6 years from first game release, so they have some time to work and build this game. (probably not all that time from various reasons, like working on DLCs, building new team, conceptual work etc. but still a lot time to make a good game in my opinon ;) )
I expect jank, but the good kind of jank
The biggest red flag I see is the confirmed inclusion of Denuvo. That might really mess with the supposedly good performance.
No Denuvo in KCD2 confirmed btw
They key to Kingdom Come: Deliverance:

The only worry I have for KC2 is that the first game ends abruptly, it doesn't reach a proper climax in terms of story or late-game RPG elements.
kcd1 as a whole was just act 1 of the story and therefore we had to wait for kcd2 which will be act 2 (the Bohemian paradise) and act 3 (kuttenberg)
They ended the first one the way they did because the original plan was to release the second act 1 or 2 years after the first one and third with the same time gap after the second one but kcd 1 grew too much in size and Vávra being Vávra (an insane megalomaniac - which is great I think, given that he can deliver the best product possible as long as he’s not treated like he was during mafia 2 development) and Warhorse being full of other people that know really well what they're doing, they decided to make kcd2 the whole act 2&3 which is why the game took double the time of their original plan and is roughly double in size (at least the world is, and the script is apparently longer than that for bg3 which is a hard thing to do, but Warhorse is one of the studios which I believe can do a game as huge as this)
You must have hated LOTR Fellowship of the Ring
Word
I have over 250 hours in KCD 1 with just the 1st playthrough (all DLC's included).
Think about this...the guy who made this game and made all this possible is the same guy that made and wrote Mafia 1 back in the 2000 and wrote Mafia 2.
I'm happy that they delayed the release date. So they can polish the game even more.
Peace!
As much as we would be honored to claim this game, I think it's fair to say "so that they can CZECH the game even more". 😆
I'll see myself out.....
9:03 one of the quests in the forst game was drinking with a young prince and the debaucharee that comes with that. Ie, actual meaningful story in minor questing
blah blah skeptical blah blah clickbait title, KCD is a good game
It's got to be a nightmare for devs to include "choices matter" in an RPG. Each branch can literally double the needed content each choice. Story, voice lines, character animations, different world effects, etc.
Not really buddy. Plenty of games do it. It the hallmark of rpgs
Man I'm starving. I think I'll go and make a 20 minute video about a game that isn't coming out for 4 months.
Luke running out of content.
What's the problem with it

This video is good for KCD fan base. Also lets new players think of playing KCD since it’s always on sale and decide if they will buy the new KCD2.
People have their own tastes, that's great, some (many reading these comments) think that KCD was good.
Wow, that's baffling ^^
Jesus Christ be praised.
The idea that this game, and the new Dragon Age, are trying to appeal to the same people.... Is hysterical.
Right? The devs on veilguard insult the kind of people who like KCD
It's maybe not even about the audience directly, but to get the attention of this audience in the first place.
man idk, these type of games just look boring af to me
Ok
Did you find Maria from Silent Hill 2 Remake ugly?
No, the only one I found strange is Angela
Big Red Flag.... Deep Silver.
One of the main reasons for Saints Row bombing, and Volition going out of business.

Lol that ship has sailed bro...unfortunately its easier for a rally behind dont support sweet baby inc....than dont support denuvo lol.
Don't care if the game is good.
@@beachslap7359 don’t support publishers that breath this way. Don’t support publishers that don’t do everything exactly how I want them to do it 🤡
What is denuvo?
