Good to know about those aftermarket parts. Those are some nice drills

I bought this drill three or four years ago on an online auction and it needed everything but at least i got it pretty reasonable. The funny thing with those seed boot mounts is its a dumb way to mount them but there still making them that way today as far as i know. When my brother worked at deere he said alot of the engineers were city slickers college preppies that didnt have a clue. Lol

@@mrbill4187 LMAO... Any engineer has no clue!! We had the first 1327 disc mower in Oregon, burnt up belts every other day! Had some suits from JD out, factory rep, the engineer that designed it, regional rep... And of course our salesman.
I showed them where they goofed up.. mower worked fine in the Midwest, but our grass hay crops are a lot heavier.. I told them to move the impeller up 4" and back 4" from the cutter bar.. the next model came out, they actually did exactly what I told them!!!! We ran the new one for 12 years, only burned up one belt! Would still be running it, but the CV joints went out, was going to be 6 weeks to get driveslines, so dad traded it in...
Only machine in the area was a New Holland, with rubber rolls.. good machines, but dry time is too long!! I miss the impeller conditioner..

I just bought a 750, and I’m changing the seed boots, disc opener blades, tension springs, and poly flaps. I’m just putting new bolts in that hold the seed boot on, just wondering why your drilling out the holes on yours?

The mounting holes get egg shaped and between wear in the mount holes and the boot and bolt you can rock the boot up and down quite a bit. I would guess yours needs done to if it hasn't already been done. The one i showed here already was drilled and had the bushing pounded in.
