    Slightly better than impeachment hearings? Why it was a perfect feed mixing video. There's never been a better video, believe me
    Except everything is backwards

      Haven't you ever seen a left handed 7010 before, I think they were made in New Zeeland.

    Good video man! Been looking forward to this one. What was the white stuff u put in about the 21 minute mark? What do u have for a round baler?

      Thanks, I noticed with my rank amateur video skills it ended up backwards. Didn't notice it until I got in the tractor. Lol That was the corn but being it was so wet it kind of caked up a little. I still got get the bunk full with ground corn but the two fields I got to fill it are wet corn and wet ground still. I got a 466 deere silage special baler just twine tie. Bought it on a sale for six grand about the same time I bought the wrapper if I remember right. It's got a lot of bales through it but it does better with the wet hay than the old 435 that I still got. I was going to tell ya too, I don't think the late silage I chopped got tested, the nutritionist was here the day after Christmas and I mentioned he should grab a sample but he must of forgot because I never got a report. He gets pretty stressed dealing with the big guys so I didn't bother him. I think it was definitely low on starch because I had to up the corn to keep the milk numbers the same. I may chop a few loads of the wet corn I got to shell yet to make the silage pile last a little longer and test it to compare with the early stuff. Been a messed up year for crops for sure.

      mr Bill I thought the video looked good! A lot of twine on one bale. We bought a gehl 4x5 round baler bout a month ago. Twine tie too. Wanted net wrap but that adds about 5k to the price. No problem on the test I was just curious. Ya prolly would be best to have extra silage especially if it’s a wet spring and late hay again

    • @mrbill4187
      @mrbill4187  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jakeziegler599 That'll be nice, gehl is a pretty good baler. The net wrap is quicker when baling but I like the string in the winter better because ya don't get the layer of hay froze to the wrap. Plus the string is cheaper, just gota keep it cleaned up so it doesn't end up all over the farm and wrapped on row cleaners and axles. Lol

      mr Bill that’s bout my biggest pet peeve is people who don’t pick up the twine. I’ve had maybe 2 strings get by me that get caught in the spreader in the past 4 years lol. Good to know about the string not freezing. The guy also gave us a box of these bale bonnet things so if I don’t have room inside I’ll use those

      @@jakeziegler599 About the only trouble I have is in the field where there will be a dragging string from the kicker arm. I keep a knife in my hand while loading so I can cut them and wind them up. I think the gehl might do a better job tieing bales than the deere so you probably won't have a problem. I know the garbage man probably hates my guts because I used to throw it away daily then my ma was mad at me for constantly having the garbage full on the farm, so now I make it all fit in the can the night before pickup even if I gota jump up and down on it all to get it all in. Lol

    • @mrbill4187
      @mrbill4187  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, yup that chain was with it when it was new. I think they put them on all the Leo mixers. Helps a lot with spillage I guess. You to, enjoying your videos too, like the stories.

      I'm pretty happy with the mixer, it was quite a bit cheaper than a patz or a jaylor when I checked prices and its built heavier. I'm in west central michigan

      @@LVFFarmVlogs There was a Leo just like mine only stationary on ebay a guy was trying to sell a month or two back. Hardly used it said and If I remember it was 12k or make an offer but I can't find it now. The same company makes an identical one to this one only thinner floor and sides to match a patz. Seems like it was about 17 or 18k new compared to 21k for this one.

      Thanks, That rain gutter worked pretty good holding the phone, I was kinda surprised I had it pointed right. That was a bale of first cut on an alfalfa stand that's pretty much run out so one bale will be mostly alfalfa and the next grass. This bale was probably half and half.
