I'm transplanting a small philodendron Imperial Red that doesn't look so good and ran into this video. I love that you took that neglected plant home and gave it such TLC! It's a beautiful plant. I hope that she is thriving for you right now. Thanks for sharing this video.
Thank you so much for watching. Yes this plant was a great find. I don’t have this plant anymore, but be sure to check out my videos for other wonderful plants and have fun with your own 🙂🪴
Bought mine from the nursery and it had 3 big leaves broken :( Having to cut those beautiful leaves off was so painful, but I cut off from the base and hopefuly it regrows even bigger! Beautiful flower had to buy it as soon as I saw it.
@@WesleysPlantWorld Hell yeah, im quite new into the plant world and already got around 30 plants. It just becomes an addiction and dopamine rush. I plan on getting further 30+ LOL. Its just so lovely seeing new growth and being proud because you're the reason the growth is happening. Im sure u feel me on the pruning section, but yeah, its gonna regrow even better.
PLEASE HELP! I rescued (aka stole a badly neglected planted from a strip mall that no one cared about) this identical plant about 10 years ago....a philodendron Rojo Congo. It has thrived, made babies, & just become my love. However, my other love...my large pup.....has chewed a few lower leaves over the years leaving my lower stalk bare. It continues to grow & thrive but it’s become top heavy & falling over because the base is too high above the soil. Staking it seems difficult because it’s heavy. I wonder if I can bury the lower stalk but not sure about that. Any suggestions? I’m afraid that I may have to just propagate it & start over. Suggestions? If I can’t tame it back, my hubs is threatening to get rid of it! 😱 Help please! Thank you! Edited to add..... I was hoping to add a picture but it doesn’t seem I can do that. So, I’ll add that my plant is about 3-4 ft tall above the top of soil & 4-5 feet wide. It spreads out wide a great deal. The lower stalk has lost probably 6 or so leaves over the years leaving it bare about 1 ft from the top of the soil. It’s sad because it’s truly gorgeous. Each leaf is about double the size of my head!
@@WesleysPlantWorld oh, thank you! Great suggestions! I will say that I do think there are some nodes or some thing that looks like possibly an aerial root that seems to come out higher up. 🤔
Gardens & Crystals just found out that the philodendron imperials and the congos will eventually look the same. 3 feet by 3 feet indoors in good conditions and I have one of each lol

I wonder how it looks now?
Can you share a update on this plant?
Thank you for the video :) how often do you water this type of plant ? thanks :)
Do you make bread the same way ?.
Haha!
where did you find these stones? 😻so nice
Any update
I'm confused about this plant. Some websites say it's compact and self heading, upright. Some say over time the plant will climb. Which is it?
