@@homuraakemi103 yeah but when Psychic was no longer king, Steel came into the picture but a lot of poison types do learn super effective coverage or at least Hidden Power.
This is one of those series I really wish he reboots... especially since his old team is forever gone. Yeah he was going through rough times here but I think his first Pokémon LP could definitely use an update. He did it with Earthbound, why not another game that means a lot to him?(especially since he didn’t even bother going over the Legendary Beasts)
Pretty stark contrast to the Platinum episode where he gave 5 bios in a row thrashing early-game Bug Pokemon that came post-game that probably served only to help complete the Pokedex.
+Ryan Dennison yeah Emile has stated multiple times in the past he isn't a fan of his older LPs (he had to fake a lot of enthusiasm in sunshine for example as he was going into a depression) I believe he stated once he is interested in redoing earthbound

+MikeMan214 This may be just me but I've never had trouble raising a Slowpoke. Sure it's slow but it's a lot like raising Mudkip. Very bulky and powerful. Specially since it has STAB water and psychic moves. However I still feel he sold the Slowpoke line short.

+Joker arts well, they are romers. So you have to be on a route with low level pokemon and your lead pokemon must be under level 50.Then,I HIGHLY,HIGHLY recommend for you to use your master ball, cause it flees at if you switch out or attack and it has roar so arena trap and mean look won't really work. And if it flees,it is completely gone from the cartridige and you won't be able to catch it anymore or even find it.
I kinda wonder if Chugga was at a bad place in his life when doing this LP. A lot of the Pokemon he doesn't recommend are totally usable. Like, Butterfree works great against Brock if you chose Charmander, Pidgey is quite good early game. He even talks bad about the Oddish family.
He brings up some valid points or doesn’t expand on others. I probably wouldn’t use Butterfree for too long because its stats and typing kind of hinder it later in the game. Mankey’s better long term ‘cause it’s faster and has better coverage. But nothing’s better than two of the three starters who can hit Brock’s ‘mons with a 4x super effective early STAB move. Pidgey is…painfully average; the Spearow and Doduo lines will hit significantly harder and faster, but be less resilient; they’ll start off with their early Flying-type STAB while Pidgey has to wait a few levels. Spearow is available right around the time Pidgey is, but Doduo’s just to the west exit of Celadon. Of the three, I’d probably choose Doduo for a strong secondary STAB in Tri Attack, but carry Spearow for the early game. I think he puts more emphasis on the Bellsprout line over Oddish because they learn similar moves, but Bellsprout can out speed and do more damage with them, while still being able to spread status conditions…though neither are as good as Bulbasaur.
43:36 or how bout "Y" do I have such terrible stats, "Y" can I not learn anything other than Hidden Power, "Y" am I not as powerful in the games as I am in the anime?
To be fair to Flareon, it does get better after Gen III, when fire type moves are split between physical and special. Despite this, I have only acquired a Flareon with breeding my already evolved Eevee.
