As someone who's grown up with dogs his whole life, you telling me about going from your exotic pets to a border collie translates, to me, as "Boy, transitioning from this unicycle that I've had my whole life to this Ferrari sure is a change!" Well, yeah it would be xD
Border Collies are less of a pet and more of a lifestyle; hyper intelligent, hyper active, constantly need something to do or they go batty. I love them to death, but I could never own one, too much of a commitment for me

The idea of feeding Porygon jpegs gave rise to a silly idea:
NFTs in the Pokemon world would probably be used as super fancy and expensive Porygon food akin to caviar. I could just imagine a snooty rich person in the anime offering their equally stuck-up prized Porygon an NFT of a Primeape with laser eyes and a hat as if it were an hor devour.

Funnily enough despite your slander of my baby boy golduck, he is actually easier to take care than psyduck as it is stated that all the psychic problems with psyduck are gone with golduck
The pokedex mostly mentions how fast and how much it loves to swim with one of them mentioning he sometimes likes to have swimming competitions
Infact in sun the pokedex mentions anyone that posesses one is said to end up being granted supernatural powers thanks to the gem in his head so you are literally turning into a psychic human like sabrina by owning one
The only bad rep from the pokedex golduck gets is in shield's pokedex where it talks about an ancient legend of golduck punishing people that defiled his river
So all you would need to do is feed it fish, give it a big pool for it to swim on, learn to swim and not intentionally "defile" his pool (but lets be honest youre probably the one cleaning it every week) and by the end you will literally get psychic powers
All of this compared to psyduck being dumb and able to blow you up because of a headache

Most ghost Pokemon are dangerous when judged by their Pokedex entries, but there are a few that aren't. Sinistea seems harmless and easy to take care of. Golurk is strong, but loyal and would probably guard you with it's life. Decidueye seems relatively safe. Runerigus is safe, aside from potential trauma from touching it and seeing bad memories. Hisuian Typhlosion's Pokedex suggests that it is benevolent.

Low tier? Yes, still has a lot of difficult behavior and is a little too smart to make good pet material but does NOT deserve the -10 safety; especially compared to Gengar which DOES in fact commit consistent, horrifying murder as a species, right down to the pre-evolutions!
I'm surprised this reckless misinformation hasn't yet lead to the near extinction of Hypno, seeing as stuff like this actively causes people to hunt and kill wild Hypno en-mass (again, in a similar manner to the false aggression of sharks or wolves in the 1800-early 1900s that caused exactly that, and still do to this day!)

One thing I want to toss into the ring is about fire types. A lot of Pokedex entries talk about the pokemon's temperature, but I think it's imporant to note how well it can control the flames, and if the heat is internal and external. For example, Flareon's flame sac can be extremely hot, but wouldn't it have a way to mediate that heat? I imagine it works similar to something stomach acid. Stomach acid itself is VERY corrosive, but we have a line of mucus around our stomach that keep the acid from... well, melting us from the inside out. For a pokemon like Flareon, it would make a lot of sense if it was a similar case. Not to mention, pokemon like Rapidash can control their flames on what and who to burn. Yes, fire is an incredibly dangerous thing to have for your pet, but I imagine certain fire types won't just burn your house down instantly. And then there's Macargo...

Former Seadra owner here! When my Horsea evolved, I didn't know what to think. The mention of poisonous spines surprised me, if only because I've handled those spikes barehanded before. Guess that solves where all that numbness come from!
Something to note about caring Seadra is to frequently visit large, open bodies of water (lakes, beaches, etc.), especially if one is near a coral reef. They tend to sleep in these places easily, and once it wakes up, it'll likely return to you refreshed and reinvigorated. Something to note about feeding Seadra, too; if you see it have its food stuck in its mouth, _it's not choking!_ Seadra swallows food whole, more often than not, and it can suck in food larger than the opening of its mouth with ease! So don't worry too much about dicing up treats for your Seadra.

Although it doesn’t really matter too much since the video isn’t trying to cover the topic *too* seriously, some Pokémon can be wrongly punished despite all other evidence or, as you even commented on yourself, game the system into being placed higher. “Yeah, it does seem to be the absolute perfect pet, but it *is* a Psychic type, so it only gets a 23/25” or “It will absolutely tear you limb from limb and cannot be stopped, but it *is* a Normal type and also doesn’t require too much food or space, so 10/25 points.” I did appreciate that you were willing to break the system for Gengar and Hypno though.

This whole thing has given me the idea of...Like, a comic or something of just some rando trainer talking about what it's like to have Pokemon who are just as smart as, if not smarter than you, as pets.
"Yeah, it's...Not quite like owning something like a Zigzagoon or whatever. It's more like...Getting a roommate, oooor hiring a butler or something; saying that they're low maintenance is almost an exaggeration. Y'know, you take them out to help you get groceries and all that, and after enough times you can just leave 'em to it with a list and a spare wallet full of cash or even a debit card. that in terms of human companionship, Flareon is objectively the most huggable Pokemon? While their maximum temperature is likely too much for most, they are capable of controlling it, so they can set themselves to the perfect temperature for you. Along with that, they have a lot of fluff, making them undeniably incredibly soft to touch. But that's not all, they have a very respectable special defense stat of 110, which means that they are likely very calm and resistant to emotional damage. Because of this, if you have a bad day, you can vent to it while hugging it, and it won't mind. It can make itself even more endearing with moves like Charm and Baby Doll Eyes, ensuring that you never have a prolonged bout of depression ever again.

YES to gen 7 dex! Every other generation cycles through 2-3 standard entries. Alola, usually the moon games, will be blunt and won't hesitate to call out the reader or professor. Like Geodude's "A scholar with too much free time once counted a hundred of them along a single route." or Machoke's "A popular motif for sculptures, its incredibly well-developed muscles have captured the imagination of many an artist."

You should take into account that evolution level and age are not the same thing. There's a reason Treecko isn't considered a Baby Pokémon but Toxel is one, and it's because a Treecko could easily grow old and die of old age without ever becoming a Grovyle.
EDIT: Never mind, there's a fair few for which you already did.

    "grass/fairies being absolutely lovely"
Uh, Bumbles. The following is some of the dex entries for the few pokemon that are grass/fairy types and are either fully evolved or can't evolve:
Whimsicott: "Riding whirlwinds, they appear. These Pokémon sneak through gaps into houses and cause all sorts of mischief." "This nuisance sneaks into people's homes, where it hides important things and scatters cotton all over the place." "As long as this Pokémon bathes in sunlight, its cotton keeps growing. If too much cotton fluff builds up, Whimsicott tears it off and scatters it."
So Whimsicott is a mischievous pokemon that will likely hide your car keys whilst shedding all over the place.
Shiinotic: "Forests where Shiinotic live are treacherous to enter at night. People confused by its strange lights can never find their way home again." "It emits flickering spores that cause drowsiness. When its prey succumb to sleep, this Pokémon feeds on them by sucking in their energy." "Its flickering spores lure in prey and put them to sleep. Once this Pokémon has its prey snoozing, it drains their vitality with its fingertips."
So basically its nocturnal meaning it'll probably keep you up at night.... or just drain your vitality while you're sleeping.
Tapu Bulu: "Although it's called a guardian deity, it's violent enough to crush anyone it sees as an enemy." "The guardian deity of Ula'ula is a lazy Pokémon. It commands plants to immobilize its foes and then deals them a savage blow with its horns."
A literal god/guardian deity that canonically can and will destroy whole buildings. Literally, there's a destroyed supermarket in Sun/Moon and Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon that was destroyed by Tapu Bulu. Meaning you likely can't own it as a pet without some insanely good lawyers and insurance.

Some Pokémon aren't listed as dangerous in the Pokédex but probably would be due to the types and abilities it has. I do agree that it could feasibly be combined with safety though. Or that at least, the typing category should instead be based on what moves it can use, not what its core types are. German Shepherds and Yorkies are both just normal dogs but one is large and powerful enough to kill you if you don't take good care of it.
