My father passed last month. This song played at his funeral. He was a firefighter for 22 years. My father was also a paramedic. He had a fire service funeral. He was the best dad I could have ever asked for. Please pray for a hero who has saved so many life's through his career .

I sang this to my grandmother in her hospital bed. She passed away with her hand in mine once I was done singing to her. She had 14 children and fought Alzheimer’s for over ten years. I hope I end up being half the woman she was.

I am a full time hospice nurse and when a patient who has died exits the hospice, we have a “walk out” . The family follows their loved one out to the hearse and the staff follow the family. The family will often choose a song to play as their loved one exits the hospice. If the family can’t think of one, or if the deceased has no family present; I will choose this song. It is so beautiful ♥️

i thank god for country music. this is the only genre where music this beautiful is sung publicly. i can't think of any other place where these songs could be sung and accepted by the audience.

It really is amazing grace that found a wretch like me, I used to live a very sinful double life, 4th of July '19 I was driving up to the mountain near my house to spend that one morning with God but God didn't want that just that one morning with me, he wants me to ge in the gates of heaven withhom, by the amazing grace, I fell asleep behind the wheel, drove off the road into a tree, I spent 7 months in the ICU on the line of life or death, the doctors kept telling my family that if I ever come back to myself, I won't recognize anyone nor remember anything, by the grace of God I came back to myself, recognize everyone and my memory has retured back to me! Truly is the amazing grace that saved a wretch like me! All honor and glory to the one who deserves it!

I have dedicated my life to country music. And Gospel music...I have sang in alot of churches and alot of bars. I've sang in Nashville. I never met the right people. I really wanted to be a part of the Ryhman Auditorium. Part of the Grand Old Opry. It never happened for me.... but..that's ok. It could be that God didn't have that in his plan for me. I will say... God had a hand in Alan Jackson being where he is today. Thank God for The music of Alan Jackson.

I played this video and song over my Mother in Law in the hours before she left for Heaven. I know the room filled with angels in honor of the King of Kings, before she was escorted home to Heaven by her two Angels.
I was in a terrible car accident on Christmas Eve… broke both shoulders, 12 ribs, my sternum both legs, some fractures in my foot and a concussion. But I’m doing better and all I can say is I’m so thankful the lord was watching over me and thankful to still be here! 😢 Thank You Jesus! Long road to recovery but so thankful to still be in this world I’ll be going to church to lift my spirits while recovering praise the Lord!❤❤

My precious beautiful grandmother passed away May '12. 90 years old, 14 kids & an amazing life. Just minutes before she went home, my uncle started playing something on her baby grand piano. Several of us family were all around her bed .... almost unanimous we all started bawling. Every time I hear this version by Alan Jackson, my mind goes back to that evening & the tears start flowing again.

While I just am in shock knowing it was time for her to go because of her suffering and the kindness of my son who took her to the vet one last time.. How is letting your own son suffer and die awesome in any way? Because we're saved now? Saved from what? The first sin of the first two humans, right? The funny thing is: The children of Adam and Eve are not responsible for that and yet they apparently still had to suffer and so do we (i.e. until we die - thanks to the torture and murder of "God's son"). It's all BS to me but there is biblical "proof" that Jesus was "God" like John 1:14 and 10:30. Then there are the times when he was worshipped but he didn't tell them to stop (Matthew 2:11, 28:9; Luke 24:52). They even called him "Son of God" in Matthew 14:33.

My grandpa died about 5 years ago and once I this song I was overwhelmed of the power Christ because at that moment I could feel him over me. So every time I hear this song I am reminded who God is and a blessing that I got to be around a man like my grandpa. Rest In Peace a friend, a caring person, a joy to be around, and a great grandpa. My thoughts and prayers to those who have also lost someone close to them.🙏❤️🙏
