Thanks for your simple explanation of the different functions for this software. Takes a lot of the unknown out of it for the newbie like me who just purchased the xtool d1 pro 10w laser. The hardest part is getting started when there isn’t an instruction book for the software.

What are the best ways/tools to cut SVG's in half or portions and then reassemble them for a final object after cutting (due to a smaller laser bed space than the size of the object you want to create)? Lightburn? Adobe Illustrator? Or any free programs? For example with the xTool P2 I'm limited to 27x14 inches. I'd like to create larger products by cutting images in half or more and then reassembling after cutting.

Hey, thanks for the question. The way I would probably do it (which may not be the easiest) is paste two copies of the SVG on Xtool Creative Space. Then cut them in half. Then put the upper half of the image on Canvas 1 and the lower half of the image on Canvas 2. Then frame your laser to the edges of the material. Engrave it and then reassemble the two pieces.

Thanks! My creative space looks totally different, and many options are not there. I use M1 on windows laptop. Is any support on that

Creative Space has had a few updates since this video was posted. However, the basic layout is the same. I also use windows, so I am unsure.

how do I adjust just one side of a rectangle/square. instead of resizing the entire shape, I just want to bring one side in but keep the length or something to that effect. I dont want to change the entire size of the shape.

You may not be able to do that with the shape tool. But you could create a square/rectangle with the Vector tool then edit it however you need to.

Thank you for this. I have a question if that’s OK. When I’m working with the text tool and I want to print can I fill the text with colour ?

If you hit engrave on the right middle side, it fills in the text so you can engrave it rather than it be an outline.

Hi there I have a S1 and I like to know how to fill out an image inside the rectangle? Thank you

If you add a shape (rectangle), under "Process Type" select "Engrave". It should fill in the shape.

None of these tools come up for me the same way. For example text. I click text, text box appears, zero tools to alter the text follow.
