Lanikai Pillbox Hike, Oahu, Hawaii | Everything You Need To Know
The Lanikai Pillbox Hike one of the best hikes on Oahu, and I’ve put together this video to show you exactly what the hike is like. I’ll explain the duration of the hike, the difficulty, and the distance to help you decide if this is something you want to do on your Hawaii vacation!
Hike difficulty: moderate - because it can be steep and slippery (dusty trail)
Distance is: 1.6 miles out and back
The duration is about: 30 -40 minutes each way
Elevation gain is 613 ft

Something to note is parking is free, but limited. if you park at Kailua beach parking lot, it’s .7 miles away. And there are also no bathrooms on this hike. Closet restrooms are at kailua beach park.
Bring water, sunscreen, snacks, sunglasses and have lots of fun!
