I was there. It was a wonderful experience. Good to be able to say "hello" and tell the couple what pleasure they give with their playing. Roll on August 2021!

I got to talk with Marjolein for a moment, completed my Gert CD collection and left a small gift for Thomas. I also met Gert again and got the selfie that is now my channel profile picture. Well worth traveling from Northern Ireland.

Thank you for this! I missed these three pieces due to the closure of the A 50. It took 3 hours to travel 40 miles, but the rest of the concert was wonderful - well worth the journey.

Hallo Terry Purvis, vielleicht erinnerst du dich an unseren Dialog vor wenigen Monaten, in dem ich dir von meinen Konzertbesuchen bei Gert berichtet habe? Nun ist es endlich soweit dass Gert ein Video von seinem wunderschönen Konzert in der Vicoria Hall in England eingestellt hat, und wie du siehst/hörst habe ich nicht zu viel versprochen. Übrigens ist March d' Áthalie auch eines meiner Lieblingsstücke, und in diesem Konzert waren noch mehr dabei. Vielleicht kommen noch mehr Videos von diesem Konzert, auf jeden Fall wünsche ich dir noch viel Freude beim hören von Gerts wunderbarer Orgelmusik! Am Ende des Konzert hat er angekündigt 2021 wieder ein Konzert in der Victoria Hall zu geben, vielleicht reise ich dann nochmal hin. Auf jeden Fall möchte ich im Januar 2020 sein Konzert in Zürich in der Schweiz besuchen, das ist nicht sehr weit von hier. Viel Grüße aus Germany.

@@TerryP1922 Hallo Terry, danke, es geht mir gut, ich hoffe dir geht es auch gut? Ja, eine Weihnachts-CD wäre schön, und ich hoffe auch, dass der nächste Teil des Konzerts als Video bald kommt. Da sind noch so viele schöne Musikstücke dabei. Nach Zürich will ich im Januar auf jeden Fall fahren, es sind nur etwa zweieinhalb Autostunden von hier, bei Schneefall vielleicht drei. Wenn wir hier nicht im Schnee versinken fahre ich hin. Nochmal viele Grüße und alles Gute!

@@TerryP1922 Danke, Terry! Ich bin zuversichtlich dass es klappt, denn um von hier nach Zürich zu kommen muss man nicht durch die Berge. Es geht von hier an den Bergen entlang zum Bodensee und von dort weiter durch die Schweiz bis Zürich, auch an den Bergen entlang. Normalerwiese kein Problem. Es kann halt nur im Winter etwas länger dauern.

Beste Gert en Marjolein jullie 2 zijn een koppel die het mooie orgelspel ter gehore brengt bij zoveel mensen de klanken uit het orgel komen maken de harten van de mensen weer warm en je laat een grote indruk achter ook bij mij ik wens jullie al het geluk gezondheid en liefde toe voor de komende jaren met de hartelijke groeten van een dakloze man die al 5 jaar in de kou is gezet door onze eigen regering !

How I've waited for this to appear on you tube. Having been at your two previous UK concerts I was looking forward to seeing you again. From where I live its about a 300 mile round trip, so I set off early had an awful journey of hold ups then I got on the A50 to Stoke then with about 30 miles to go the Police had closed the road and I was left in a huge queue of standing traffic being diverted along country roads. The next 10 miles took about 2 hours and I regrettably had to cancel my journey and start the long journey home. So please show part 2 as it is a small comfort for
what I have missed and I know look forward to trying again in 2021.
I'm sorry you missed it. I came from Northern Ireland and decided to stay the night before in a hotel. Maybe you should treat yourself with a trip to one of Gert and Marjolein's concerts in the Netherlands.
That was fantastic Gert enjoyed it very much - looking forward to the rest! :-)

Vielen Dank für dieses Video, Gert und Marjolein! Wir sind im August nach England gereist um euer Konzert zu besuchen, es war wunderschön und es ist eine Freude es mit diesem Video nochmal revuepassieren lassen zu können. Besonders schön für mich war auch, dass wieder einige meiner Lieblingsstücke dabei waren.

Lovely playing Gert, as always. What really impresses me, though, is your command of two very different languages. Most Dutch I've heard speak English with a heavy accent, but thanks to your American teacher you have an international or midatlantic voice, essential for a world touring virtuoso.

Gert, on organs modern like this one, is there delay in hearing the sound after pressing keys? many years ago I had pleasure of playing church organs and this delay in hearing the sound was very confusing.

Great concert, Gert! I don't know if it's just me or not, but it sounds like this old organ could use a wee bit of tuning.
Me too. I thought it sounded a bit 'reedy', lacking a rich sound, but then many English Town Hall organs sound like that. Acoustic recording may have bren a factor too.

Disappointed to see so many empty seats. Those who didn't attend Gert's performance really missed out.
I have to admit there was a time when I didn't have much interest in the pipe organ but after discovering Gert's TH-cam channel it all fell into place.
I believe Gert van Hoef is making the pipe organ cool again. In many of his 'open door' recitals he is with young friends and fans.
Capacityplus, I have always loved organ music. People use to think my Mom and I were strange to like it, but it didn't bother us.😊 She would have loved Gert's playing if she was still here.
@@TerryP1922 nothing makes me more sad than to hear distorted guitar music played over dialogue on TV programmes. My other interest is flying light aircraft. If there is an historic aircraft the sound of the engine is drowned by distorted guitar.
Your mother brought you up correctly.
You may never have heard of Gert without her influence even though she never met him.
