just got the g1 colour version and I love it there are some minor imperfections that do give it away as a ko but the painted plastic, size, joints are top.quality. I hate to say it but the value of these oversize ko are on par or exceed official releases.
Your videos are always top of the line. I just ordered my Reximus G1 color from TF Direct, no box but who cares. Now I’m looking for the Gigapower Gutter chrome so they can finally meet. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@Benscollectables hey Ben. Question if you have time . Is this version bigger than Fans toys and the Shuraking g creations Grimlock? Had some friends tell me about this as I was looking to replace my Hasbro Grimlock which had been lost in a fire. I had the reissue with the serving tray apron and bow tie. Would be nice if they came out with a set for this one. So is this more of a fans toys copy or just an oversized version of the mp08?
glad they made a g1 colour version but I do like the marvel colour and I think the colours aren't to bad to go with the fanstoys dinos. still a great figure
Great review Ben! Hey I have two questions. What would suggest using to tighten the thigh joints eventually if they get to loose over time? And how sturdy/well does the upper torso tab into the thighs? With the original Mp of release of Grimlock I had a problem with the torso detaching to easy from the thighs. Thanks
Hello! Where can i find these for purchase? I clicked the link you provided and it said sold out. What brand and name are these so i can do a specific search. Thanks!
Went for it on ebay... under £100 so grabbed it while it was there. Dreading a possible customs sting... cross that bridge when I come to it lol My FT Dinos needed a big Grimmy damn it lol :)
A little late to the party . . . I just got this from amazon. This version has loose connections but nothing noticeable, a very excellent ko. However, I don't have the original mp to compare it to.
I just filmed the review for the first one and I found something I don't think I have ever seen any other reviewer notice (even on the original has/tak versions). at the bottom of the back, just before the tail there is a little compartment. It was more noticable on Reximus and I had to use a tiny screw driver to pry it open on the original Grim, but yeah, on Reximus it looks big enough to put mp 10 matrix in, or a tiny human. just thought I'd see if I were the only one to notice
+Benscollectables I have had Mp Grimlock for about 5 years and until yesterday, I had never noticed. feel kinda silly for that and I have no idea how I stumbled on it. I was just curious as I don't remember my Takada version mentioning it in the instructions...tho I honestly may have never used it so it is possible it does. not a huge thing, just weird that I never noticed. by the by, your last Reximus review convinced me that I needed to hunt it down . Have you heard anything about any other Dinobot releases from the company that made Gutter?
Thanks for the video! I bought a Reximus based on this positive review. :D At about 6:25, you move the thighs forward, and the legs seem to hold (but seem to be getting looser). On mine, the forward/back thigh joints were very loose from the get-go. Rex likes to flop backwards with very little coaxing. Do you have any advice on how to tighten that joint?
Dave Marsee I'll get back to you buddy , I'll take mine apart and see how we can tighten it .. mine is still pretty tight , maybe you got a bad ish one , ruddy problem With buying ko toys isn't it :(
Hi Ben, thanks for the review. In video it looks a bit more loose (legs, tail) and the chrome more scuffed than comics Reximus... Is it true in hand? Or maybe I'm overrating the quality on the comic one? I still have to choose between them and I'm really torn...
Mine is a little scuffed but that's only because mine is the tfdirect display model , others should be spot on , joints feel very similar to the marvel version although again mine has been handled by several people in the store prior to sending out
This guy is awesome! im actually digging the painted silver over the Original non painted MP. Btw how does he look next to the OS MPP10 in robot and dino mode? Same size? 1 bigger than other? Anyways great review and i recently saw on FB Mini Ben,Congratulations Ben😄👍.
Great video as always. I wish you would have compared the Dino modes of the 2 oversized Grimlocks as I already have the comics version and I display it in Dino mode and was wondering if there is much for paint app/color differences for dino mode? It looks like it's nearly identical, but there may be some slight differences? Just wondering. I'll probably just keep my comics version though and skip this one since I'll be displaying in Dino mode anyway.
Torso goes in pretty tight but I think it's more of a design floor so it may get a little floppy As for the joints , people always say future floor polish from pledge but if you recall I did a video on 5second fix . The product didn't fix anything but it's amazing for joints , it's liquid plastic so thickens the joint right up once you add the uv light
On mine it didn't tab in. His chest didn't fully connect on one side though (a build flaw of the one I got). I bought from ebay from lcukboy for $108.59. I am going through a mess trying to return because he is very wobbly, looks good though. But oddly while looking good, he just seems cheap to me. Maybe it is because his tail bits don't tab and flop around and his chest is wobbly and feels he could pretty simply break in half (chest and legs sections feel like it could do an old gi joe snap in half). I waited months and months very disappointed, especially after raving reviews. But I think the one I got was a used defect or just a defect. I would have kept otherwise had the chest connected well but I prefer to pay extra to get the FT if this is the best the KO can do - the FT should feel much better quality I think.
They can never get the scale even close to accurate or Skylynx would be nearly as big as my living room. “Scale” went the way of the dinosaur in 1984. So they did another, far smaller Prime compared to the US Official anniversaryPrime from Walmart? I’ll take my larger Walmart, large and in charge die-cast 20th Edition to the Nancy-fied smaller one they say is still Masterpiece.
I won't really call people who stole molds from a toy company who worked on the original engineering + designs, and then just upgraded them with upsizing and additional paint apps as "true fans"....

Ben, that logo I made ya looks absolutely killer in that little intro. I'm glad you love it, man. :) I hope all your fans love it as well. :)
Yes yes it does :)

Just bought GigaPower Graviter and I think this one will fit perfectly with him.
Mine should be here by the end of the week and I can't wait! Thanks for another stellar review Ben!
can't wait for mine to arrive! thanks for the post. awesome review as
usual! kudos to you sir!
glad they made a g1 colour version but I do like the marvel colour and I think the colours aren't to bad to go with the fanstoys dinos. still a great figure
You going to be getting one Graham ?
+Benscollectables When are you reviewing the ko jetfire.
+silverninja1001 probably Tuesday
Benscollectables thanks
Wow! amazing! review. those scale comparisons..between Prime and tge rest of the Dinobots was a visual treat...
Honestly I cannot tell them apart, and it doesn't matter to me. It's good that people who care have options, I guess.
Hey, Ben do you know if someone still sells this? Thanks

Love these KO's, they seem to pick up where third party left off. Can't wait to see the Gigapower version of this character.
On another note, those Grims look badass. Great review man!
Reximus with Guttur is the only way to do it. I really love both of them.
This guy would look great next to the limited edition Fans Toys Stomp. Silver looks great IMO
Ben, having both do you prefer G1 or Marvel? And which do you display with your Gigapower Dinobots?

ohhh! almost forgot amazing figure for sure
Where can you pick one of these up these days?
So is this a bigger version that shuraking and fans toys grimlock?
the official grimlock fit perfectly with kbb mp10-v voyager . keep it in CHUG line
Exactly. Even the goofy Combiner Wars Prime and the midget Classics Prime go well with the official MP Grimmy.
tfprime Megatron anyone??

Yeah I had noticed that buddy but just assumed it was a common thing , I'm actually not sure it is now , it's like the Diaclone riding area

I'm so tore between this or waiting till the end of the year for Fans Toys version.
Thanks for the video! I bought a Reximus based on this positive review. :D

Much appreciated. Love your work.
I hope this means we might be getting an MPP10 with Hasbro/cartoon colours...
Showing LOVE .. thanks for the vid !!!

I wonder how FansToys eventual Grimlock release will compare
Interesting silver finish. I suspect GP version to a head or two taller tho 😏
Do his eye come in blue?
I prefer the shiny paint to the grey of the official one
Hi, is the silver fully painted just like the Marvel colored Reximus Prime?
Yes
thanks for the vid bro, it helps me to decide easier
Nice review. Thanks. Purchased him from TFdirect. Any paint scratches on yours?
Does yours have any scratches? Planning to get one

Real shame they couldn't improve the shoulder articulation and allow them to move out laterally.
So, who makes this? Anyone we've heard of before?

+Benscollectables Ok, thanks! That would be great.
Ben, sorry I meant how well does the upper torso tab into the waist section, not the thighs. Lol!

I might get him .?
what site does this grimlock come from?
Tf-direct.com
+Benscollectables thanks heaps ben much appreciated 🖒
I need this
I don't care, it's awesome!
I still like it.
Damn $160 for him? I rather just get Grinder for $40 more.

We?
I feel like this was made by true fans of transformers not some cheap company trying to make a quick buck
