I third that! I’m surprised he doesn’t like the look of the Gigapower bots, since I feel they are a great mix of G1 toy and anime look. But to each their own

Great video and content as always. I disagree though and was disappointed with Grinder. I think this fanstoys mold of MP Grimlock is the worst of the third parties. I like fanstoys overall a lot and their take on dinobots is what triggered the competition. They look more G1 than gigapower which is great, but they don’t look better necessarily IMO. And they’re too small. Hoping Takara will actually make a set of MP dinos with gigapowers size and paint job while looking more G1.
Brilliant idea for a series. I can’t wait to see what is next. So far I can’t disagree with any decision. I have been praying that fanstoys makes a Cliffjumper or at the very least Takara uses the mp-45 mold and makes a Cliffjumper out of it because that is the only season 1 character I am so disappointed for not having a version I am happy with. Then if someone would make an Ultra Magnus that is just a little smaller than the Takara version I’ll be able to complete my collection with pride.
I had a difficult time getting a copy of him, I even downloaded the app. Man those collectors were weird! Always sending nasty pictures of themselves, saying terrible things and wanting to come over and see my figures. I ended up with the Gigapower version, eventhough it isn't toon accurate. Hopefully they reissue him...
I don't understand how you can feel that way about the Grinder. I don't. Grinder is one of the most hideous figures I ever made the mistake of paying for and it looks NOTHING like the character proportion wise. Plus with the alt mode being toy inspired, and the robot head being specific shots of the cartoon inspired, he's got no unified identity.
I truly wish I could get Grinder. Unfortunately he has been scalped, out of stock, or unfindable. If I could find him at a reasonable price that doesn't look sketchy I would easily buy it is unfortunate I can't find him anywhere.
Informative Masterclass! PS. Prefer the MP original due to it overall fun factor; in spite of personally owning all his other FT Dino comrades. Stay photogenic!
The UK comics version written by Simon Furman is a far more engaging character than the cartoon version. I would also pick the Gigapower offering over Grinder, the grey plastic looks incredibly cheap for a figure that can cost £350+ and the whereas the X version fixes that I am not committed enough to spend £500+ on a single figure.
War for cybertron and studio series figures are just a step or 2 below these for 1/4 of the price. I’ve sold all my masterpiece and have built a way better, more diverse collection.

Although I like the look of Superator a lot more, the lack of an ankle tilt (the correct way) is a serious dealbreaker.

Eh I’m not the biggest fan of the robots look the Dino is interesting but I ordered the gigapower one so hopefully he doesn’t disappoint
