I just got Grassor (chrome ed), mi 1rst MP scaled Dinobot and I'm so glad I went with GigaPower. This figure is GORGEOUS! Man... that paint job is insane. And I really like how imposing he looks beside my other Autobots. Just like I've always pictured a Dinobot should look. I'm supposed to get Graviter tomorrow and I can't wait to get my hands on him. I really want to thank you for your review videos. They always help me to make a desicion when I want to get a new figure. Very appreciated.
I hear you on complexity- I transformed Unicron *once* ! Lol! I've got the official Target exclusive "Combiner Wars" Devastator- took my time with all 6 (no rush), then combined them into the best Dev ever (I saw a link comparing the Official Hasbro next to a larger KO but lost the link.

Wow, that is a glorious dinobot! So glad I held out on gigapower!! I've got the metallic guttur and after seeing this chrome version I just hope the metallic one is just as good! I think when they've finished the set I wouldn't be surprised if they go back and re do guttur..... They've defiantly learnt a lot from the first release
I think I'd not mind the red cranium on a Diaclone style blue torso but it's a bit to much red on a red torso for me - the silver face helps a bit - but I'd not make a choice sure choice as I'd want to look at all the other Slag I might have and compare them over all before deciding. One small suggestion I'd make is if they decide to do the leg gap filler again - they could consider making them open and allow them to store some of the accessories especially the spare head. I would suggest one small "Enhancement" over G1 which would be to provide some nice place to store their hand guns in robot mode so they can look like they are just sword fighting. But yes over all it's a very nice piece - very handsome.
Maybe I will buy these in a few years when all 5 are out, till then I will enjoy my Gcreation Dinobots, granted to me this Slag and the Snarl look similar anyway so no big loss

That sounds odd to me. G1 Snarl's Tech Spec bio said that he hates his Stego alt mode and wants nothing more than to return to Cybertron. That always made it sound to me like the Dinobots must not have had dino forms back on Cybertron--not even FOC-style. FWIW, to me this just looks like GP added in extra surface details because the canvas is so huge for them to work with.
Cardboard Box £140 Price is a bit high but the figure is huge and glorious. In the long run these figures are an investment as when they go out of production their value goes ballistic.
I recently got the reissue of this guy because of this review and it came with a lot less accessories. No effects parts, no swappable faces and visors and strangest of all, the head sculpt looks completely different than in this video OR the package art of the figure. Anyone else know anything about this?
I'm real close to selling all my G-Creations Dinos and going the MP scale route. This is the quality I want, even if I can't swing the whole team at once

I already know that Ben but your review is the CHROME VERSION and it looks like the flames came in the box (you said check underneath for the other bits) so people will be confused or disappointed after watching this review and never getting flames with the chrome version if I hadn't intervened. gigapower are NOT supplying flames with the chrome version. you have to buy them separately
Thanks for this great review. It's a shining one which is absolutely positive. A recent review by Bobby Skullface L was completely opposite. Not sure if you've seen it but do you disagree with his thoughts? Unfortunately the sample he got had some issues but he comments on other aspects such the detail is too noisy or Grassor is overly too flash compared to Guttur. Keen to hear your thoughts! Thank you.
movefwdg yeah I love Bobby but I do disagree , my son has been messing around with this as well and I've had no problems ( he is 7 ) I wouldn't have let him touch scoria as it was a mess with floppy loose joints and needed a lot of fixes but like I have said before I love the fact the fandom has these choices. I think he got a bad sample and he was really looking forward to it but felt let down which is understandable but i am selling off my fanstoys so that's how much faith I have in this line

movefwdg at the end of the day each reviewer can only review what he has in front of him ... I always encourage people to watch multiple reviews before making a purchase . If I had a broken toy then my review may have been different . Love Bobby and stick by him but I think is good to have a difference of opinion :)

I keep considering a 3D Printer to do as you said many times. I may let the printers have another year to increase quality and lower costs. Great for replacing parts (but if you 3D print anything, the customers should know). For display, my friends would never notice the difference, but I would.
I've actually thought about people like you in your predicament. I feel like the Fansproject Dinobots just basically limped across the finish line, and they find themselves on very few "best" lists when discussing 3rd party Dinos. I felt similarly when Toy World basically gave up on their Swoop. It's really terrible. I didn't even complete that set because their Grimlock wasn't great either, and the combiner mode did not work like I was hoping it would. MP Grimlock joined that crew on my shelf and it looks great. But when I kept seeing the Giga pieces...I jumped on board, fully hoping to fulfill an entire line with incredible figures...which appears to be so.
I don't see the real problem. Between ebay, forums like tfw2005 and toyark, and facebook sell/trade groups, you should be able to unload those dinos at a fair rate. Unless the issue is, you don't want to get rid of them.
I would like to get rid of them, the only problem is that I've got to dig the boxes and such out of storage and actually get around to posting them and hope somebody would like to buy them.
As a toy this looks good. As a masterpiece slag he doesn't get much right. Far too big and updated for a Masterpiece slag. And no originality in the transformation. Looks like it would be good if you don't care about g1 at all. And you can't compare this and scoria other than the fact they used the same transformation mostly. Scoria wins in many ways. Especially originality in transformation.

It would look weird, because the scale is very different between the various manufacturers' Dinobot lines. GigaPower is the grandest of them all.
Bobby's copy of this had a floppy mouth. Does yours show any sign of being loose?

the only thing I don't like are the fake robot mode toes in dino mode and that his silver chest accent doesn't become the dino mode jaw.
