Too good of an Upanayanam. All these days my dull brain thought, why Mahabharatha was lauded as a great poetry! After all it dealt with lots of evil adharmic acts like gambling, cheating, in public humiliating helpless woman etc. etc. etc. But in final 5 mins in a grand synopsis Dr. V showed the correct path and teachings of this great poetry. He cured my mental illness of my bias. Pallandu Pallandu to him and his family and may he continue to cure my mental deficiencies in such short pills.

You said that because of Draupathi's saranagathi the Lord stood with them till the last and even saved Parikshit. Then why did He not save Abimanyu and the other 5 Upapandavas? Kindly explain swami.
Because He incarnated to reduce bhoomi bhaaram. Krishna even made members of His own Yadava clan to die. Pls note that He left the Pandavas with Parikshit for their dynasty to survive. Actually Ashwathama's target was Pandavas. Krishna saved them and Ashwathama mistakenly killed Upapandavas. Hope u ll reply

When Sri Krishna intended to save the grandson(Parikshit) of Draupati (of Subathra Devi) as a result of her saranagathi, y He did not save her own sons?
@@lnpoorani1 Krishna saved one grandson so that they will have one successor to the throne. It doesn't mean that all the successors of a sharanagatha should live for such and such years. Please understand that Krishna ensured that they have got one vaarisu, that's all. To make you understand easily, will you consider that all the relatives of sharanagatha will live for 120 years? When a person approaches Krishna for help, he will save them. If a person dies like Draupadi's sons, it doesn't mean Krishna didn't save them. Krishna had other plans for the good of those souls
Or it is like.. Sri Krishna's idea was to reduce the bhoomi baram at that period by destroying everyone irrespective of them being good or bad and let the ones live who are just enough for the Pandava's family tree to grow to value her saranagati. Have i understood your answer correctly, swami? If not, kindly correct me.
