@jeannem413 these ones from Fischer in Germany are the best ones to do it with. Most of the normal ones I used to buy here in the UK are generally trash. But these felts help so much.
Thank you for sharing this little trick! I trim the edges of my sanding disc in a similar fashion to extend the life of the edges. I'm definitely going to give a go.
Great idea. I’m going to make some a give it a go. I think they are going to make my platinum pre polishing so much smoother than a brush. Thanks for the tip.
You're welcome. TH-cam aside, my normal studio work is 90% platinum work. These made platinum light work for sure. Platinum is the main reason I do these. 👍🏼
You are doing a great job - I am sure there are lots of people out there that will gain so much from your videos. 'Keep cool and never loose your nerve' Phil from philongold
@gilliankemp92 damn. I'm sure there'll be a supplier near you that sells the nice crisp ones. Someone else did comment on here and said where they get there's. I can remember what country that was in though. Maybe Germany again, like where I get mine sent from.
@steverobbins4274 trouble is it would take me too long to locate links in every country that watches me, ands hard to find time to record and edit already. There is a link in this thread somewhere that does have the exact link to these felts. All other tools can be easily found at any jewellery supplier. These felts are from Fischer tools in Germany. I think the comment was early on. Thanks for watching again.
Are you really Ydna? Or are you taking a mickey? Either way, love your channel. I love the long form, no editing cuts. It's brilliant for those who really want to learn from a real jeweler. Do you use Dialux for all your polishing? What's the brown one? Is it "Karl Fischer Goldschmiedebedarf?" I appreciate you; thank you!
It's the Karl Fischer I get the felts from. Everything else I just get all over the place. I answered the Ydna bit on the other comment. But it's been my nickname for over 30 years. It's just Andy backwards but it stuck. 🤣 And Dialux for sure. I get on really well with it. The brown is the prepolish. It's actually the one in the orange box. I appreciate you watching. Thank you.
I just replied to ig bit on the other comment. I can't remember the code of these off hand. But someone else asked and the link is in one of these comments from a similar question. 👍🏼
Thank you!
Thanks great technique! I’m absolutely doing this today.
Thank you. They're a great adapted tool.
I’m going to do this to some felts tomorrow!

Excellent work, your tutorials are invaluable to people starting out like me.
Thanks for the feedback. Really pleased they help.

Thank you. It's a game changer. You won't look back.
Great !!!! I will definitely try this thanks, Michelle
No worries. It's the same tool I use in nearly all my videos.

Interesting idea. I'll have to try this.
It's an honest game changer and time saver. So easy to make as well. 👍🏼

Thanks Phil. Much appreciated. I do hope so.
Very helpful... I'm going to try and do that for myself. Hopefully my felts are stiff enough.
I hope it went well.
😂 it was a fail... My felts were too soft.

Thx, great tip.
You're welcome. Thank you.
Besides Karl Fischer there is another supplier from Germany called Zujeddeloh
Cool. I've never heard of that supplier. Thank you.
Links to the tools would be helpful.

Photo on their website looks different from the one you show. It is Order-No. 3630/101, is that correct? Thanks so much.
Oh no. Not those ones. Let me look for a link.
Here you go.
goldschmiedebedarf.de/en/product_info.php?products_id=5606
could you indicate the website you're buying them from? tha
Can't remember the website off the top of my head. Google "Fischer tools germany" that will bring it up.
