Sorry I have been away since June 30th. I moved and it took almost 3 months to get my studio setup.. plus the U-haul truck wrecked my car while it was being towed behind the U-Haul, anyway I’m glad to be back. I have my TH-cam channel setup now… I just need to start putting up my videos. I have some catching up to do and watch your videos. Great idea I love this clasp. Another great video. 👏👏👏Michelle
@aumi.jewels thanks Michelle. I was wondering how your move went, and I hadn't seen a comment for a while. Hope you've settled in now. Also hope insurances have covered any wrong doing by now. Sounds like a nightmare. Pleased to see you back 👍🏼
So glad you’re back! Your tutorials are the most informative and helpful of all the ones I watch. I just used the bezel setting technique you demonstrated in the stacking rings video and it’s the easiest and fastest way I’ve ever done. Thank you!
@lauramcfalls434 thanks for watching and listening. Really pleased they helped you out. Feel free to share video links on Facebook groups etc to spread the channel further. 👍🏼👍🏼
This style of clasp can be seen on old brass flag shackles, it didn't matter which way the wind blew it was nigh on impossible for the shackle to come open accidentally. Thanks for a very clear video,
@nj40100 sure. It's always the oldest ideas that are the best. I didn't actually know this or ever seen this. Thanks for that. I love learning new stuff too.
Brilliant Andy, thanks for the tutorial your efforts and knowledge appreciated. I'm 5 months in smithing and I'm obsessed and hooked! I've made byzantine chains and bracelets in copper, but now going to attempt in 925 for sons 14th birthday. Was going to attempt a box clasp but now giving serious consideration to a C clasp. BTW, do you have an insta account? Or email address, would love your professional opinion on a couple of things. Damien.
@damienolive2185 sure. It's a lot to learn in one go. So much missguided info out there. This clasp is much easier than a box snap for sure. I will be doing a video on that at some stage. I have released my insta and website on a previous video, but my wife deals with all those messages. And it would take too many hours out my day to answer everyone. I do have a Discord server page setup that I was slowly building up. Pics can be added on there and I can answer when I get a chance. discord.gg/jaSqAkPS Thats a Discord invite link. My insta though, if you want to have a nose and see my actual business, is @Lawley_design These clasps can be really good for lads jewellery too. So strong too. 👍🏼
Nice one Ydna. What a great idea for a clasp! Never seen this type before, but so simple and effective. Thanks for sharing this.
@phillbearman359 cheers mate. Simple is often the best and longer lasting option.
That is a beautiful clasp! I look forward to trying it! Thank you, Ydna❤
@jeannem413 thank you. It's a great one to make.
great soldering, it makes the piece. I will use this clasp for bracelets, thanks much.
@@brucesr8744 definitely. It works so well in many styles. 👍🏼
