So true we have to live life as we age cause life is to short. When you’re working its best to try to pay off any debt as fast as you can. I know when I was in my 20’s I just wanted to buy the next brand of clothing or handbag. As I got older all that materialistic stuff got old. And when my dad passed away 9 years ago at the age of 66 he really didn’t enjoy being retired and living life with my mom. That really made me think to get my butt in gear and start saving a lot more. So I can retire when it’s time and just live life with no struggles It’s never to late👍🏽
I will miss beautiful good heart Hoda, she is such a joy to see every morning, off topic I retired at age 48 so I am in my late 50s. Many of them resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if it wasn't necessary. I considered the phases of my life. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." In my instance, I departed the nation after retiring and currently reside in Latin America. It made it possible for me to appreciate my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody that I know of regrets retiring has yet to come to me.
Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
She made her millions. Now it's time to go spend/inves t them. It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than a million dollars by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I can understand this easily. Lessening her load with two small children as a single mom at age 60. She does not have forever to spend with her daughters.
No one made her have to deal with small children at the age of 60. It was dumb. She has saddled them with the prospect of elder care for her when they are still minors.

@@b3blueblue she wont see any comments ! lol
To those making snide comments, she has small kids and probably wanted to tell them. Kids can't keep secrets. This way her information comes out without weird speculations and with keeping her kids up to date! Be kinder!
I’m turning 60 in a month and I’m also taking life changing decisions in order to have more joy and happiness in this time that’s coming for me. I sooo get her. Congratulations Hoda ❤✨ May this be the best time yet!
I wasn't expecting to get all teared up but shes a beautiful person inside and out. I wish the best for her. Thank you for sharing your life with us throughout the years Hoda. You are an inspiration to everyone. Go & enjoy your kids.
Hoda was the face of ,,Today" for years so we surely will mis her and now is quality time with her fam.
She's a sweet lady and I want to wish her the best because I believe she deserves it. That said, it would be good if the show added another conservative to balance things out. I know that won't happen because of the current climate, but one can always hope :)
😢😢😢😢 Thanks for all the memories Hoda
Thank you Honda for being with your viewer family for so many years. Love your family. Enjoy your life.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hoda is so very special! Her warmth is somehow felt through all of her broadcasts. God bless you Hoda Kotb!!!
"We are family." REALLY???? Tell that to Ann Curry!
Or Natalue Morales or Amy Roback?😮😊
😂
@@AndreaPucci-u8k I believe Natalie Morales left on her own.
well we all have family members who are alienated or toxic.
@@AndreaPucci-u8kNatalie burned her own bridges getting involved with lauer 😂😂😂😂never missed. Ann was professional and missed but burnt by lauer but for other reasons.
The Today Show is losing their best asset. Hoda, may you have your own bigger and better show!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Good for you Hoda! The same thing happened to me....I had a "what are you doing" moment and decided to retire this June 2024at 69!!! I absolutely love the new pace now. I love taking time for myself and family. You're right, we're only here for a minute. Enjoy your children. Enjoy your life. God's peace and blessings to you.
So sad but happy for Hoda Kotb!
I love watching her and will miss seeing her on her programs! It will not be the same. She seems like such a wonderful person and is so uplifting!! Good Luck with your next season in life! I hope you come out with another book! ❤

I retired after 30 years of teaching special education and I was 60 and I’ve never looked back. It was the best decision for me and my family. Congratulations Hoda for seeing the obvious🙌🏽🙏🏽
From Sydney, Australia. I've adored you, HODA, from afar. Do amazing things. Truly, a gorgeous soul. Love you.
