    Great to hear you have a more real conversation about being out in the nature, even in poor conditions. It's definitely necessary for our mental health. I'm a 9-5 office guy, and definitely feel that urge to get out and get away from the monitor.

    I really like how you create features that aren't just fun, but actually challenge you to get better. And then you work on them until you conquer them. A lot of MTB videos I see showing trail building, the builders are making things they know they can clear. You seem to take it a bit further and make things that help you (and others) increase your own skills. I think that's really awesome.

      As an aging trail builder, I’m constantly building things I’m not sure I can ride, or ever will ride. But someone will!

      Can't leave something unridden that you've spent hours on building! That's my mentality haha

      I'd say goalposts offer serious incentive to not fail.

    Really loved the part about enjoying the forest and reflecting on how you want to spend your time, especially with those cinematic forest shots!

    At my "local" spot there is one jump which is kind of like your goalpost jump, the only difference is that it's a lot tamer, wider and less scary. Still plenty scary (and exciting) for me though :P.
    Anyways, great video as always Eric! those nature shots with the rain are absolutely goregues! Love the down to earth style of content and attitutde that you have towards making videos. Keep it up!

    As someone born and raised in the PNW, I love the rain. Especially after these last few years, rain is a necessary gift, not an evil. After doing so much camping, so much mountain biking, exploring so much of the PNW, especially west of the cascades, it's just home to me. The rain is a peaceful reminder of that.

    I absolutely agree that you are a "maker" Eric. I also agree w/your sentiments regarding the weather. Here in VT this time of year it's mostly rain but we still hike with our dogs in the woods even if it's raining....they don't care and my wife says she' not a witch so she won't melt. Thanks for the video and continuing to give back with your building.

    What you said about the content of the podcast “sticking” to what you create is so true. I don’t know why this happens, but it must be because your mind is sort of doing two tasks at once.

    @yermanoh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    @BCpov you might want to amour the bottom of the takeoff (especially the inside left bit} as it looks like a water trap even with the drainage line you cut in, by amouring youll firm up the ride at that point and remove some of the sponginess thats robbing speed for the jump and increasing its rideability in all weather, keep up the good work and happy building

    Great video Eric! So amazing, inspiring and mind blowing! Such an amazing video to get your mind out of everything that's happening outside and this video made me feel like I was in the forest than on a couch! And about loam, I heard loam is top layer first and then learnt that loam is mixture of sandy and clayey soil (I learnt it literally a week ago and as I was studying for my Science exam tomorrow reading all about loam and wondering where could have it gone wrong and then hearing MTBers got it wrong not the book😆😆was good) HUH! Why did MOUNTAIN BIKERS got it wrong?
