I adore the way you try to make sure the less skilled riders are also having a blast at the trail! Usually it's just a boring route around the obstacle but you really made something out of it! I personally really enjoy it when there are multiple ways to ride the same part as well, making it more diverse. Awesome work, can't wait to see more!!

That sap filled log is "fat wood". If you ever need to start a fire, it burns really well. you find the fat wood in stumps and the base of branches of dead evergreen trees because the sap runs towards the base when the tree dies. Cool trail!

Brilliant awareness on your part for making the trail ridable for different level riders. That is how we grow the sport isnt it. Now if they just open the border and then I can have a chance to ride some BC trails!

That is the Essence of craftmanship, manufacturing, working with your Hands: at the end of the day you have created Something you can See and be proud of. It ist very satisfying. I am a Carpenter who changed woodworking Tools to a Computer Mouse and often when IT comes to choose If going for a Ride or a dig I Take the shovel...
To say it with the words of a wise man: Sometimes "The Chase is better than the Catch"

9:00 That is called fatwood and you can lite it when it's wet. I bet some folks would love to buy some from you to stow away for fire starting in the rain. Good to have even in nice weather as you need way less kindling and it starts so easy. Bikepackers and campers and even like old RV folks could use that.

Oh, I’m so done with winter by now. The roads here in my hometown in Norway had just gotten clear of snow after 2 weeks with sun and warmer temperatures. But then suddenly we received 50cm of wet snow today, and the weather forecast says there won’t be any warmer days during next week. Before the snow fall I could probably start hitting some trails in about two weeks, but now I probably have to wait for four weeks, at least.
